Hi all! So I originally wasn’t going to say anything about this because devs who really take time to make their products accessible for us blind and visually impaired folk are few and far between, but I can see that that’s not the case for this particular sight, and for that I’m extremely grateful as this is by far the best world building software for writers I’ve found.

I’ve said before that this sight works very well with voiceover and that’s true, but there are some issues that I can work around but it would still be nice if they could be worked on.

A quick disclaimer, I currently only have an iPhone and IPad, not a Mac so these issues might not exist or be different on a computer. There’s also a chance that I missed something, so if I did feel free to let me know. Anyway here are the ones I’ve found so far:

  • I can’t seem to reorder pages in a list.
  • Besides bold an italic, formatting functions don’t show up when I select text in the document view. This might just be an IOS thing and not a voiceover thing though. I’d suggest if it’s not implemented already to have the ability to write markdown in the document editor.
  • Some things are labeled strangely and I would guess that’s because of the icons. This isn’t a huge problem but might be a little confusing for some people.

I’m pretty sure i had some more, but my mind has gone blank. I will add them if I remember them.

Thanks, that means a lot! Please feel free to add to this list or message me any time so I can help getting more feedback from voiceover power users, too. Sometimes it takes me a while to work on things, but I'm always hacking away at something. :)

Hi again.. this is just a quick update of a new accessibility issue that appears to have come about since the last update. It has to do with documents. They work fine until I come back to them later after initially creating and typing something into them. When I try to edit them, VO treats them as though they are in view mode. I can deactivate voiceover to get my cursor to show up but i can’t tell where it is because of the bug so as you could imagine it makes editing quite the hassle. If you could look into this, @andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer), that would be very appreciated.

(Hey, just following up on this, I think I finally found what might be the problem and it might make it into tomorrow's release. I'm not 100% sure it'll entirely fix it, but I have a few other ideas to try if not as well. Thanks for your patience!)

I am the one that was mentioned earlier in the thread
