Alright, so here we are! Another roleplay based on my NaNoWriMo this year. I already have another one on one going on, but I decided on doing a group version for those who wish to join (and also for me to test out a character of mine for it.) Fair warning that there could be dark topics involved, but not always!

Hedo City, a city with more in it than it is talked about. Many advertise it as the place to be, a place of surprise and wonder. Which it can be, as long as you don’t go too deep into what really happens here.

The Shifters are humans who possess the ability to take on the form of a Kaiju. But they can’t. At least, not fully. Due to the implants that are forced upon Shifters, they are unable to transform into a Kaiju. This implant can also be used as a tracker for the law enforcement. As a Shifter, you’ll be forced to wear a white armband that identifies you as a Shifter.

Humans get it a bit better. Depends on where you live, though. In the Slums, you’re most likely to deal with protests. Anti Shifter ones, usually. But you won’t get as much discrimination at least, so there’s a plus there?

There’s a lot of views around here; anti shifter, anti normal (human), pro human, pro shifter, and extremist ones also seem to happen here. And then you’ve got the few that really don’t care about politics. An understandable lifestyle.

RULES

1. Swearing is allowed. Don’t go on a warpath, though.
2. No overpowered characters But Mojack, shifters can shift into big monsters, how is that not OP? Well, shifting will very rarely happen in the RP. The most you’ll see it is referenced in conversations, with a shifter rarely ever shifting because believe me - humans are pretty good on security. Those implants will prevent any Shifter characters from attempting.
3. Try to be descriptive! Explain your characters thought process, maybe? What do they think of this situation?
4. I don’t expect you to be active, as I’m not either. Just let me know if you’ll be inactive.
5. As I mentioned before, there will be some darker themes depending on where we go. I wouldn’t recommend joining if you don’t like this. But keep in mind we won’t deal with it all of the time!
6. As always, all of andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)’s rules apply!
7. No meta-gaming (meaning your character knows things you were told OOC.)
8. I will allow multiple characters, but I’ll put the limit on 3 for now.
9. You can NPC characters (as in, say you’re at a bar with another character. Feel free to NPC the bartender coming over and taking drinks.)

   This is pretty simple. There’s two main species, and I’ll list some of the details of them.
   Shifters - Kaiju shifters. You can partial shift even WITH an implant, like growing a tail or claws or changing your eyes. However, your implant will give you a small shock, and the law enforcement WILL be alerted to your location. You cannot fully shift. (I will make one expectation, so keep reading.) You are confined to living within one area of Hedo, the Shifter Slums. However you can go out on the city as long as you have your armband.
   Humans - Otherwise known as Normals. Humans may seem boring - but at least you can roam around the city without an armband! You’ll face less discrimination. And there are a lot of opportunities for human characters, believe me!
   Note: If you want to fully shift as a Shifter, PM me and we can discuss it from there.

Name: Arseni Tikhon Vasilievich
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Asexual, but he is romantically straight.
Opinion on Shifters: Dislikes them, but also fears. Which is probably why he dislikes them. It’s also due to the fact he’s had negative experiences concerning Shifters.
Appearance: He’s got dark brown eyes, nearly black. He’s fair skinned, leaning towards the pale side. Arseni has short-ish light brown hair, but it’s not trimmed to the top of his head. While he shaves, he’s got some facial hair by the chin, upper lips and sides of face going on, but it’s harder to see. Shorter and fainter.
He’s 6’1 in terms of height, with a lightly muscled build.
Despite the protection he has, he’s got a scar on the back of his neck.

Clothing: Typically he wears what someone of his job would. Good armour for dealing with any partial shifters, and of course a full face helmet (wouldn’t want to risk any sort of facial damage.) It’s dark coloured, but in the rain gives off a slight purple tint.
Casually, Arseni wears a black coat and pants. His boots he wears are similar in design to rainboots, implying he comes from one of the wetter zones in Hedo City.

Job: Law Enforcement. Arseni typically is in the division that deals with Shifters more. In his job, while he’s not as ‘brutal’ compared to others, he certainly follows orders without question and rarely gives second chances.

Backstory: Arseni was not born in Hedo City. He came from one of the more northern areas of the world; most likely a Slavic country of some sorts. He moved to Hedo at an age of 12 with his siblings and he’s lived there since. The siblings he currently lives with is his step brother, and biological sister. Both of which he isn’t that close to, due to job related problems. He currently lives in an apartment in one of the middle-higher class districts, near the centre of the city, sort of.
Personality: Arseni is a strict rule follower, always obeying orders. Don’t question his rules, alright?
He usually lets his actions speak for him. He doesn’t seem to have much of a care of what most people think of him, but he has some problems when it comes to failure; he has a fear of that and always wants to succeed in missions when given to him.
He’s not afraid to sacrifice whatever to complete a mission.

Off the job Arseni is more tame than on the job Arseni. He’s definitely calmer, and prefers to stay out of large situations unless needed.

Arseni’s first reaction to some situations is generally to not give up information. See what you can find out before acting. Despite his generally disliked nature, he’s not that impulsive, which is a plus. And he’s usually honest.

Other: His voice sounds more mechanical or robotic due to a voice filter in the helmet. However, it also makes it louder and much easier to hear. Both of his siblings are 3 years older than him.
He sighs a lot as a mannerism.
