That's what this is about? It's not even a rivalry, more like we've just hated each other from the start. Even though those were the questions he had he didn't let it slip that Flyn had dodged his questions. "Sort of? I know who he is, tricked him once or twice. Pretty sure he'd have fun beating me up with a bat if he got the chance." Aaron spoke warily as he noted the guards coming closer, "Not sure why you'd need me for whatever plans you have regarding him… I guess I have Ruth on my side."

@Shadow_Knight group

"Don't worry. We don't like him either." He said as Nykidia smirked. "He wanted you so we got to you first. What did you do to him to get him so angry at you?" He asked with a smile on his face.

@InstaOnly

Aaron glanced to Nykidia, guessing they were telling the truth as she smirked. It didn't make him relax in any way though. "I…. Have some blood on my hands. Made some alliances and tricked Ben, so he sort of has some blood on his hands too…" He paused as he silently questioned if he should trust them, even if they were the enemy of his enemy, "When he's not blaming himself he's blaming me, even when it's really just Ruth going through with what I suggested. Helped me, helped Ruth, didn't help Ben. Didn't help his friends that are trying to stop me either."

@Shadow_Knight group

"Sounds like you got yourself in quite the pickle." Flyn said. "I'm not the biggest fan of Ben. I hate all his 'for the greater good' front. It's discusting. We've hated each other for a while. So when I heard Ben was looking for you." Flyn chuckled. "I just had to get you first. Good thing Nykidia is good at pulling on people's emotions."

@InstaOnly

He took Flyn's words as an insult, growling as his eyes shifted between him and Nykidia. "I can handle my situation perfectly fine, so I am not in a pickle. As for your rivalry with Ben. I don't appreciate you treating me like some animal that can be taken just so he doesn't first, or saying I was manipulated into coming here." He snapped, words laced with venom. If they wanted to keep him here or be allies just so they could win a fight with Ben he wasn't going to be any part of it. He tried to not lose his temper just yet, but still he was on the verge of lashing out.

@Shadow_Knight group

"I understand. Not everybody takes kindly to being toyed around with. I just wanted to make Ben mad. Once he realizes we have you, you can go. Heck you could go now if you wanted to but I'm pretty sure one way or another Ben's going to want to have a little chat with you." Flyn said.

@InstaOnly

"I wasn't being toyed with." Aaron muttered, just loud enough so it wasn't a whisper. He glared at Flyn, not very fond of his personality. Speaking up at a normal volume his tone was bitter, "You realize making Ben angry really just makes him more dangerous when it comes to stuff with his group or personal life, right? Not that it's a problem for me, but it's a problem for you." He smirked, hoping to make Flyn and maybe Nykidia ticked off if they really thought they had played with his emotions. "I'm guessing you don't stand a chance. Considering you won't just go face him yourself. Meanwhile I've been able to mess with his head a few times now. Is that close to the truth?"

@Shadow_Knight group

"Oh you've underestimated how many times we've done this to each other." Flyn said. "So are you staying or not? If you want to then I have a room set up for you and if not then I can have Nykidia take you where ever you want to go."

@InstaOnly

Aaron huffed seeing his attempt to get under their skin fail. Yet he kept himself as calm as possible as he went quiet for a few moments. I really have no place to go here. A room would be better than the park. “I’ll stay. It’s not like I’d be welcome anywhere else.” He begrudgingly admitted. Though if they tried to use him for anymore than they already had he’d be picking a fight.

@InstaOnly

Aaron paused, looking somewhat resentful before turning to follow Nykidia as he muttered something about Eberaus not being here and mockery. Stepping outside the room he looked at the red-head, still bitter about this whole thing as he noted her sudden change from being energetic to smirking and acting a bit calmer. "Was all that earlier when we talked you 'pulling at my emotions'?" He asked, seeming to feel a bit betrayed before his expression changed to be more annoyed as he stepped to the side so she could lead. She had seemed nice enough, only for Flyn to say it was only to make Ben upset. This is why I shouldn't trust anyone. As the thought crossed his mind he wanted to say one last thing before they left, his tone sounding cross as he spoke, "If you try to trick me in any way you'll find I'm not someone you'd want angry. I've got better things I could do if you and Flyn think I'll be a puppet on strings or sit around and deal with this… Attitude where you act like nothing gets to you." He said, messing with his coat sleeves so they were straight before becoming silent. Waiting for Nykidia to lead the way. I won't be toyed with.

@Shadow_Knight group

"Yes I was pulling on your emotions. I find it's pretty easy to manipulate people. I understand you may feel upset. I'm sorry. And I honestly don't care if you get made. Threats don't work on me Aaron. You don't realize how many times I've heard that threat." she said. walking down the hallway.

@InstaOnly

Aaron growled, but didn't say anything as he followed. He wouldn't speak if it would just give Nykidia another chance to mess with him. How could I know if that's a real apology? She said she doesn't care if I'm mad, why care if I'm upset? He thought, yet he couldn't help but feel a bit betrayed. He had trusted her, enough to where he had tried to talk instead of lashing out. Enough that he had let her take him to a place he didn't know. He should've been more suspicious of someone trying to be friendly towards him when they didn't have to. Don't trust anyone. Do whatever is needed. The ends justify the means. That is what he heard so often before this whole thing, now he was thinking he should listen to that.

@Shadow_Knight group

"Here's you room!" Nykidia said opening a room. The walls were a deep gray and the floor was wood. There was a deep red rug on the floor. There was a writing desk, a window and a full size bed with light blue sheets on it. "Make yourself at home!"

@InstaOnly

Stepping into the room he didn't quite know what he thought it would be, but he had to admit it was better than finding some sheltered area in a public park. Maybe he just hadn't really had a place to stay before, but he didn't expect anymore than maybe a bed and window. Sitting on the bed he let his feet swing, the action calming him some as he looked to Nykidia. "Uh… Thanks." He said. "It was… kind of you to let me stay." At that he simply let the silence rest as his eyes scanned the room, taking in the details of the furniture.

@InstaOnly

“Yeah, alright.” He said, pushing back any guilt. Even if they were nice after he snapped at them, they tricked him. Maybe he would’ve trusted them more had they told him the real reason, but instead they lied to get him here. Untying his boots he looked to Nykidia, “Goodnight, I guess? It’s pretty late.” He assumed she would be heading for bed soon, then again he didn’t know her that well. He took his coat off, leaving him in his cargo shorts and plain shirt. When was the last time I actually slept anyways? He thought, failing to come up with an answer. Letting himself lay back he realized how tired he was, slowly letting himself fall asleep.
(Here’s the room for time skip! Lol)

Eberaus kept to his word, trailing behind. He had both their scents down, so easy to track. Albeit, it was a pain at first. It nearly gave him a headache trying to sort all of the different scents and focus on the two main; Aaron and Nykidia. Though he finally did manage.
He made his way along slowly. The dragon's tail slowly swayed, trailing behind him. The feathers along it remained flared upwards. As he walked, Eberaus could feel the eyes staring at him. Sure, it was late at night and there didn't seem to be as many people out, but there was still the occasional passerby. He moved his hand, seemingly pulling his skull helmet further down upon his face to cover his eyes, but nothing that would obstruct his vision.
After some more walking, he finally came to a stand still. His eyes landed on a massive building, the scents leading right there. Almost instantly red flags started to go up; 'Human building, danger, trap, avoid'."
Eberaus didn't make a move closer. Instead, he slunk backwards into a dark area. Suppose you could call it an alleyway. The dragon didn't really like it. He didn't dare take to his true form, especially considering how small the space right there. Not that he couldn't change to his dragon form, it would just be extremely cramped. Yet he wanted nothing to do with going inside a place like that. His instincts were screaming at him to make an escape right there and then. He needed to think it through…feeling a wave of exhaustion. Eberaus couldn't quite remember what time he had went exploring in that cave to only end up in this odd world. He frowned to himself, he needed to get back home, he didn't belong here.
The male sighed, it was no use sitting here and trying to figure things out…especially now when sleep was becoming an issue.

He somehow managed to find sleep, albeit not a very good one. Eberaus would sleep for maybe an hour or so, then wake up. This continued the entire night. He found a place in that alleyway to sleep for the night. The male sat up with a groan, stiff and tired yet. Eberaus yawned, tail curled tightly around his side. He blinked his eyes sleepily, the sound of movement happening outside.
Eberaus slowly forced himself to stand, feeling stiff. His muscles ached terribly, not having a good sleep at all. The feathers along his tail were flattened, his tail tucking between his legs. The male shuffled forward out of the alley, the light from the morning sun beaming downwards to greet him. Eberaus growled softly under his breath at the light, but it was mostly the fact that he was still not home, and this wasn't a dream. He had been hoping he would wake up back in his cave, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. The dragon was still here, in this awful city and nowhere near to his home, which annoyed him greatly. He would manage to sleep for maybe an hour, the wake up again before falling asleep, repeating the same thing the entire night.
Eberaus blinked a bit, his tail was tucked between his legs, the feathers flat. Now he just had to try and recollect the thoughts in his groggy mind as to what he had been doing before crawling in that alley and having the worse sleep of his long life. His forked tongue slowly slipped past his lips, testing the air. Ah yes, that was it, he had been trailing behind…oh what were their names again? Aaron and Nykidia wasn't it…he was pretty sure those were the names…
His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a loud gurgle. Eberaus glanced down towards his complaining stomach. Well, the last time he had eaten was yesterday early morning before he went exploring in that cave to only end up here.
The dragon sighed, muttering under his breath, "Course, now you choose to be hungry…right where there is nothing to hunt…"
Eberaus' gaze shifted back to that large building where he had a feeling both the people he was tracking were currently inside. Well, maybe they'd have food there. It would be worth a shot, not that he would trust said offered food, and probably knowing Eberaus, he wouldn't eat it. Though pity anyone who were to annoy him right there and then. A tired and hungry dragon was not something to be taken lightly. It was something that should be dealt with either by avoiding or appeasing said dragon.

@Euric_Knight

Name/Nicknames: Nysaxiope (Nys by her friends. Pronounced nis. Yes I am evil you must write out the whole name)
Age: 23
Species: Siren (Though I made changes so look in the "magic" and "other" for that)
Gender: Female, though when she uses magic to charm someone she can appear as another gender
Sexuality: Pan
Appearance: What her tail looks like: http://www.drawingskill.com/wp-content/uploads/1/Siren-Drawing.jpg Her tail is purple that slowly changes to orange at the bottom of her tail, the torso of a 5'11" person. If she had normal legs she would be 183 lbs, her hair looks like this: https://i.pinimg.com/564x/b2/1e/32/b21e323cb807fd6249fffaa6e1bc20dd.jpg She has deep blue eyes that if you look into too hardly then you will feel like a sailor lost on the ocean being beckoned to an island surrounded by sharp rocks (Don't look into her eyes too hard it'll make you go insane m'kay?)
Attire: Light purple button up shirt with black vest (The top of the uniform for her restaurant) or a loose sweater of a solid colour
Personality: Outgoing, goofball, trickster, stubborn, serious at times, quirky, self conscious of her body (I might add more)
Background(Optional): She ended up in Altir City after moving away from the last town she was in, which was a city of sea people (the city was half on land and half underwater), and always felt strange there because of her weight. As most sea monsters are, sirens are expected to be beautiful, in both body and voice. And while that may be true for her face, if you compare her body to any Naiad, Mermaid, or other Siren, she will look vastly different. She has always known this and it has always affected her. She tries to push it to the back of her mind but it is always there, nagging. In her last town, human ships often ended up on shore destroyed on the sharp rocks with all of the crew dead. It was expected of all Sirens in town to put at least a few ships there, and Nysaxiope didn't exactly appreciate that, but nonetheless, she learned how to lure in sailor to shred their boat on the rocks or just drown them. She wanted to bring her charming and manipulating magic to the service industry. She has live in Altir City for 3 weeks and her restaurant has been open for three days. It is called Nys Fish (okay l'll probably change this but it is what it is for now.)
Flaws: Mood can change really quickly
Quirks(Habits, triggers, or odd facts): She tries to be patient when people attempt to pronounce her name but it's hard, she loves just floating around doing loops or tricks in the air, her restaurant focuses on seafood
Any Weapons or Magic: In order to move around she floats in the air and pretty much moves through it like a mermaid would with water. She can float up to 30 feet in the air and normally floats at around 10 feet up but will lower herself when speaking to people. Can breath underwater, can see people's desires when she concentrates, her song can convince people to do anything, but only one target at a time, a knife she keeps with her just in case
Open to shipping?: Yes
Other(Optional) (Pets, titles, family, etc.): She's actually the daughter of the mayor of her old town

(Just said this on the OOC Chat but I’ll post it here to. You’re welcome to join! Also can I just say that the half underwater half land town thing reminded me a bit of my of my world’s Sullen Spirit Shallows. XD)

The window letting sunlight fill the room was enough to wake Aaron up. Not that he really wanted to wake up, this would probably be his only good sleep for a while. Wait, where am I? He thought, panicking as he sat up. It took him a second to remember he had fallen asleep after Nykidia showed him to a room. He dragged a hand through his messy brown hair as he gave himself time to fully wake up, silently working to remember the layout of this place. Cracking his neck he stood up, grabbing his coat and slipping it on. As he tried to do the top buttons he looked around for his boots, tripping on them as he took a few steps away from the bed to look around better. "Found them." He grumbled, getting up and putting them on.
Realizing he was already ready for the day made him realize just how much he didn't have now. "Which is why I'm listening to Corru's plan. He's helping me fix things." He muttered to himself. At this point it was a habit, even if he currently wasn't working on said plan with the others he still said stuff aloud. Where's Eberaus? The thought suddenly crossed his mind as he remembered the dragon saying he would follow. He doubted he would be able to find him, considering he didn't know what area of the city this casino was. Not that he knew where he was before. He didn't think much of it as he exited the room, doing his best to back track along the path Nykidia had used the other day. Though he found his way downstairs he had no idea what he was supposed to do.

@Shadow_Knight group

"Hey Aaron!" Nykidia yelled from the bar. She always got up early so she could clean up the bar, restock the drinks and make sure all money was accounted for. Though they weren't her favorite tasks they weren't the worst either.

@InstaOnly

"Good morning." He replied. Walking over there was curiosity in his expression as he watched her restock supplies. Things have changed a lot from what I remember. He didn't know whether he was upset about that or not. Sitting on one of the stools he watched her put a few bottles away before he decided to ask about it. "What's that, uh, the stuff in the bottles?" Aaron questioned. He was more used to wood areas. Which was probably why he got lost the other day…. and had never gone to a casino or bar before.

@InstaOnly

"Oh." He had heard those terms before, maybe he had asked Jack once before, but he never really bothered to know much more about it. "I slept good. Usually I just find an old building or tree and sleep there for the night, so it was a nice change from what I'm used to." He said, crossing his arms on the counter and letting his head rest on them. It was true, and his voice held a happier tone now that he was well rested. He felt more like himself, whatever that was at this point, and it made him relax some. "Do you think Eberaus lost our scent?" He asked. He hadn't seen him so far, but Nykidia had mentioned something about the dragon having a hard time getting past some people.

@Euric_Knight

Nysaxiope floated up from her bed. Ugh do I have to get up? No one made me wake up this early when I lived in Mertis, One part of her brain thought. Of course you do, you moved here to get away from that life and start your own, another responded.
She sighed out loud. With a flick of her tail moved to her dresser, floating two feet in the air so she could reach the drawers, and pulled on her shirt and vest. She looked up in the mirror. You still look terrible. You should just throw yourself onto the rocks in Mertis. Then no one with have to look at you again, the back of her head whispered at her. Shut up. It is you who should not exist, She responded. This conversation was an everyday occurrence and as much as it did annoy her, she ignored it.
Her bedroom was in the apartment above her restaurant. After she washed her hair, which was somewhat of a difficulty, as just like her body, her hair floated and did it's own thing, she pulled up a latch on the floor of her living room that opened up a small door on the ground, like one that you would find going to an attic, and she ignored the latter that dropped down and floated through the door. After she closed the door she sat down at the desk in her office, a room right next to the bathroom and across a small hallway from the kitchen. Nysaxiope sighed and thought about how understaffed she was. She was the owner and tripled as the waiter and manager. She had one host as normal, but no other waiters, and two cooks. She floated over to the front of the restaurant. A few booths lined the walls and a few tables where scattered in an organised way around the room. She had decorated in a pleasant way, meant to feel like you were underwater, with dark blue walls and dark green accents, lights like the trickle of sunlight you could see high above. The only thing strange at the restaurant were the two buttons on each table, and how the ceiling was twenty feet up. She liked to let people find out what the reasons for that were on their own. No accidents had happened yet, so that was good.
She checked that the help wanted sign was still posted and hadn't fallen. It was fine. She checked her watch. Employees should be arriving soon.
