sighs I’m at it again guys

SooOOOoooOOO-
I haven’t done one of these yet, and I want to. . . So here it is.

Character A is the son of one of the richest men in the world. Like, billions. All thanks to the tech company started by their father, they get to inherent the multi million dollar company.

Character B is a bodyguard, having been teasing in in multiple forms of combat from a young age. When they hear about a job that could sky rocket their carier, they take it.

~~

Anyways. . . I know the plot isn’t too detailed, but it’s technically a love story. The bodyguard doesn’t want to fall in love but he eventually does through many perils on A’s life.

I do expect at least one reply a day or so. And at least 4 paragraphs. I’m trying to work on my reply length.

~~

I would prefer to be A

Name: Romeo Bourean
Age: 21
Gender: Cis-male
Appearance-
Eyes) Steele blue, hooded shape.
Hair) Medium brown. He likes to have it curtain styled and parted in the middle.
Skin) Ivory
Height) 6'4
Weight) 185 lbs
Body Type) Mesomorphic. Although Romeo typically gets husky, he has muscle definition thanks to working out daily.
Personality: Romeo does not mess around. The guy can let lose and is pretty chill/fun to be with. He's not always serious, yet he isn't afraid to put aside everything, including himself, in order to do his job. Romeo loves looking after and being around others. While he prefers to be quiet and reserved, he can open up depending on the person. Even if he doesn't, Romeo loves to listen or people watch. Romeo is a sincere and considerate person. He also happens to be an extremely fearless and selfless person. Always quick on his feet, (usually) ready for whatever happens next. He knows his worth and considers himself to be a force to be reckoned with, but a lot of his qualities are overshadowed by the fact that he doesn't talk. Sometimes his fists do more of the talking.

Likes:

  • His family; Romeo would be nowhere without them. Sure they may not be the best, but he loves them. They love to cook, go watch sporting events, and laugh together. On his phone, his wallpaper is a photo of them from Christmas when he was seven.
  • Movies; Don't get him started on his top five movies. (He has too many favorites.) Sometimes he'll watch a Y2K rom-com or an 80s thriller or some foreign film from decades ago. Romeo isn't picky when it comes to movies especially if he's watching with someone else.
  • Sports; Of course he's more into sports like boxing, wrestling, Taekwondo, things like that. Everyone in his family is all about sports, especially boxing and soccer. His dad runs a gym and they all live in the space above it. Liking sports is in his blood.

Dislikes:

  • Laying around for too long; He doesn't know what to do himself if there's nothing to do. If you tell him to relax, he'll ask either "How?" or "Why?" The amount of times he has swept for dust because he was bored is ridiculous.
  • Vanilla ice cream; Romeo's not too picky when it comes to ice cream (he'll even have that weird pisachio one too) but for the love of God don't give him vanilla.
  • Being late; Early is on time, on time is late, and late is dead. He freaks out if he is only one second late to something. It takes a lot of convincing to assure him that sometimes it's okay to be late.

Hobbies:

  • Boxing or just sports in general; He loves all of them honestly. Sure it's fun to watch, but if he can swim, box, lift, run, skate, and climb, why can't he do them all? Sometimes his workout schedule for the week is just different stuff. However, 8/10 you can find him with a punching bag.
  • Cooking; Romeo can cook anything. While his mother taught him how to cook Romanian dishes she had when growing up, he started to lesrn how to make other dishes on his own. He can bake too, but only just cookies and cupcakes.
  • Sticker collecting; Yes the guy who can take on almost everyone in a room loves to collect stickers. He started collecting them after being gifted some from a friend who went to a comic convention when they were in middle school. Either he puts them on a notebook or into his plastic blue pencil case.

Fears:

  • Atychiphobia; fear of failure.
  • Thanatophobia; fear of death/losing someone you love. (For him, it's losing someone you love.)
  • Traumatophobia; being physically injured during activities like sports.

Background: Romeo is the fourth of five children; he has two brothers (Conrad and Hugo), one older sister (Bella), and one younger sister (Aurora). Ever since he could remember, he's known how to throw a good punch. His father used to be a competitive boxer and even tried for the Olympics. Boxing runs in the family. Every Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm, Romeo and his brothers would do boxing lessons with their dad. Conrad and Hugo only did it till they were able to stop when they were 13 and 11, but Romeo kept on even though he is much younger. He even started to dabble in other forms of combat too. If he wasn't in the gym, then he was either at school or working at his uncle's resturant. Once he graduated high school and community college, Romeo started to take jobs being a security guard for events and venues. He has a well suited resume and plenty of references, but he wonders when he'll get a gig to kick off a career for him. (I'll probably add on to this later on.)

(Ngl, I’m feeling very unoriginal right now. . . So he’s kinda like- exactly like Roa, but slightly different- My characters tend to be very similar)

Name: Lya Aslanov
Age: 20 (Almost 21)
Gender: Male He/Him
Appearance-
Eyes) He has soft, yet piercing emerald green eyes that are framed with medium-long lashes that are slightly darker than his hair color.
Hair) Fair, sandy blond hair that’s always neatly combed or a rats nest. There is no inbetween for him. His hair is high and tight, the top is about 4 inches long.
Skin)
Height) 5’7”
Weight) 142 lbs
Body Type) Ectomorph
Personality: Quiet, but loud at the same time. Meaning his words and voice may be quiet, but his presence is big. Ilya usually uses bigger words instead of smaller ones, and many times has gotten made fun of for his bigger vocabulary. Though, you’ll notice he uses smaller words when his emotions are heightened. He’s soft tempered with a long rope of patience, though once that patience runs out, you’ll wish it never had.
He has a soft spot for all animals, and will immediately melt upon seeing one. Usually into a fit of squeals and giggles.
In public, Ilya is reserved and doesn’t speak much. Only saying what he has to in as few words as possible. Most people think that he thinks he’s above everyone, because he doesn’t talk much and avoids people. Most citizens hate his guts and would rather see him dead than take over his father’s company. But none of this is true. Ilya cares deeply for the people and does his best to do things in their best interests.
Likes:
- Animals; They are just to cute to not like.
- Reading; He loves learning and reading is relaxing for him. (He looks AbSoLuTlY adorable in his reading glasses. Somehow they manage to soften his appearance)
- Learning; He loves gaining knowledge, and knows a bunch of useless facts.
Dislikes:
- Being Constantly Watched; (Cause, drama) He likes his privacy.
- Being Touched; He doesn’t like it if you didn’t ask and will deck you if you do touch him without permission.
- His Father; He just has a natural is;Ike to the man, but he tolerates him.
Hobbies:
- Sparing; He’s always prepared for pretty much anything (Thinks having a bodyguard is useless)
- Reading; Any kind of book will engross him for hours.
- Stone skipping; He finds it strangely relaxing.
Fears:
- Arachibutyrophobia; The fear of having peanut butter stuck to the roof of your mouth.
- Frigophobia; The fear of the cold
- Acrophobia; The fear of heights.
Conditions-
Mental) Mild anxiety
Physical) N/A
Background: Ilya was born and instantly gravitated towards his mother, deeply displeasing his father. Ilya has always preferred the company of his mother, naturally avoiding his father. This behavior continues as Ilya gets older and even when his mother dies (Age 7). After she dies, Ilya does his best to do as his father asks. Meeting his expectations.
Ilya and his father never got along, Ilya doing everything he could to please his father and his father not being pleased. Though most of the time Fyodor yells at Ilya, on worse days it can devolve into a few hits, but rarely does it lead to a full on beating.

Ilya had been incredibly pissed when his father had told him he was getting a bodyguard. Because holy fucking shit, he didn’t need one. He didn’t need someone following him everywhere he went under the guise of ‘keeping him safe’. His father didn’t care about that. All the old man wanted was someone he could use to watch Ilya. Make sure Ilya didn’t do anything stupid. Because, even if the world didn’t know it, Ilya’s father hated his guts. They weren’t the happy family everyone thought they were.

He tapped the cover of his book on his knuckles, taking his glasses off and frowning slightly. His anger was before the fact that he realized his father was hiring a bodyguard. Someone who was supposed to protect him. Someone Ilya could rely on. Maybe someone Ilya could convince to listen to him instead of his father.

Ilya stands, setting his book on his nightstand and then his glasses on top of the book. He sighs, running his hand through his hair and walking from his room.

~~~
Ilya’s father, Fyodor, or Mr. Aslanov, was in his office, interviewing people who wanted the job. He wasn’t surprised that people tried to make themselves seem compétant, when they weren’t. He wanted someone competent. Someone who could do the job he was hiring for.
A scowl permeated his features as person after person was incompetent. Most of these people were just your average Joe or Jane who wanted the money that came with the job. Also the time with his son.
He taps his fingers on his desk, waiting for Amilie to bring the next person.
@knightinadream group
Romeo was over the moon when he got the call for the interview. It was ten in the morning when his phone went off. After confirming the interview, he hung up and proceeded to jump and shout in the middle of the gym. His dad, who was going around fixing broken gym machines, also joined in on the celebrating. And his Uncle Cordin and Aunt Margie even dry cleaned his suit for free! Not that they already had done so for prom, high school and community college, and other job interviews, but still.
Now he sat on a black chair in a waiting room, staring at a wall. On his lap was a folder with his resume and other needed documents. His hands gripped the sides with his left index finger tapping on the side of the folder. Waiting was always the worst thing for him to go through.
He had got there twenty minutes early. His sister, Bella, had offered to drive him but he needed the walk to calm his nerves. In a way it worked, but his heart was pumping like crazy. No matter how many fights or interviews he has to do, the nerves will always be there.
By the time his name was called, he had fixed his shirt collar and jacket cuffs twenty times. The nice lady called him over, "Mister Bourean, please follow me." His knees got him to spring up out of the seat, then his feet carried him along.
She motioned for him to come by the door and he followed in suit. Romeo took one step in then the door was shut behind him. His face was neutral. Not a single trace of anything showed. He would've smiled at Mr. Aslanov, but this wasn't the occasion. However, he took another step forward while holding his right hand out. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Aslanov. My name is Romeo Bourean."
Ilya walks down the stairs, looking out the window for a long moment before eating towards the kitchen. He pulls open the pantry door and stares at the array of food before reaching in and grabbing a snack bar. Despite multiple attempts to find something other than these stupid snack bars, Ilya has always found himself coming back to them in times of stress. And now he was definitely stressed.
He tears open the wrapper and takes a bite of the granola bar covered in chocolate. He hums in satisfaction as he walks, taking smaller bites. He passes a small table on which sat a bowl. The bowl held things like loose change and other odds and ends. But mostly keys. It was just stuff Ilya had in his pockets after he come home from work or something. He reaches in and grabs his keys, walking out the door and into the garage.
Maybe a drive would help clear his head. He sighs softly and slides easily into his car. His car was his refuge. The one thing he had that his father couldn’t touch. Ilya had worked on the car so much that his father never went near it for fear of it imploding on him. Meaning Ilya just had to get to his car to escape his father and then he was free for a few hours. By the time Ilya returned. . . His father was either gone himself, or calmed down from his rage.
He starts the car and opens the garage door, backing out.
Mr. Aslanov looked at the young man in front of him. He’d already known the man’s name thanks to the file Amilie had handed him before leading Mr. Bourean into the office. He looks at the younger’s hand and shakes it in a nice, firm grip. All business started with a good handshake. He had a good feeling this one would be the one.
“Mr. Bourean. The pleasure is all mine. Let’s get the interview going, shall we?” Without waiting for an answer, or for the other to sit, Fyodor looks down at the file and flips it open, “I see you have a history in the combative arts, meaning you can defend yourself, yes?”
Fyodor was a man of many questions, but not giving others a moment to reply. “You can defend others, I assume. But would you jump in front of a built if it meant keeping your charge safe, while potentially killing you? Would you be able to keep my son from doing foolish things to get himself hurt?” Still, he was not waiting for the other to respond, he looks down, still scanning the file.
“You have quite the family. All very much seeming to be involved with each other. Very close and loving. Would you be able to raise arms against them if need be?” He lifts his gaze to the young man, raising an eyebrow. It seemed this question was one he wanted an answer to.
@knightinadream group
Romeo wouldn’t be lying if he said he wasn't surprised when Mr. Aslanov started asking questions right away. He didn't even have time to sit down. All he needed to do was adapt. Sometimes he imagined life being like a boxing match. It helped him with strategizing, especially when it came to needing answer questions. He was already quick on his own two feet. Now he needed his mind to be quicker.
His lower jaw hung slightly opened, waiting for the string of questions to end. By the time he had closed it did the questions finally stop for the moment. "I can defend myself, partially thanks to my history in the combative arts. Yes, I would be able to jump in front of a built if it meant keeping my charge safe, while potentially killing me. And I would be able to keep your son from doing foolish things to get himself hurt." He stopped for a second to catch his breath before finishing, "And yes, I would be able to raise arms against them if need be?"
After finishing, he finally sat down in front of Mr. Aslanov. All of his answers were true. If he lied, what would be the point of all of this then? Frankly, Romeo believed that being a bodyguard wasn't just about having the ability to fight and protect, but it was about making good judgments, flexibility, and honesty too. He stared straight into Mr. Aslanov's eyes, waiting for the next question or questions.
@RhysTheFirebird group
Ilya blows out his breath and drops his gaze down to the centre console of his car. His father would be on the last interview at this time. Thanks to the constant updates from his father’s assistant, Amilie. He sighs, and takes a turn, going back towards the centre of the city. The area in the centre was always so busy, and Ily hoped by the time he got to his father’s office, the interviews would be over and this whole farce would be over. The last thing Ilya needed was a someone watching everything he did and reporting it to his father.
Ilya would murder someone if he got a bodyguard, most likely the bodyguard themselves. His grip on the steering wheel tightening. He stared at the red light in front of him, waiting for it to turn green. Maybe he should just go out side the city. Then he could find an empty space to just drive, maybe circles. But he could go fast. He could forget about anything but the road before him.
But he himself would get murdered if her wasn’t at the office on time. The light flashes green and his foot goes down on the gas smoothly, his car darting forward and hitting the speed limit and stopping there as he cruses forward. He wanted to go faster, but he couldn’t.
~~~

Fyodor frowns slightly, nodding slowly. He looks at the young man in front of him, “Would you be loyal to my family, fist and foremost?” Though he asked the question, he meant if Romeo would listen to him, and not Ilya. He was growing increasingly frustrated with his son’s behavior, the boy almost never listening to him. Ilya kept thinking he could disobey him.

Ilya was just as strong minded as Fyodor’s late wife, and it was grating on his nerves. Nothing he seemed to do would keep the boy under control, and he seemed to keep falling short. He hoped a body guard would not only keep his son safe, but also help keep him under control and under Fyodor’s thumb.

He tilts his head to the side, “This job would mean you can;’t leave my son’s side, you would have to advise him on not doing something reckless, and you would have to do whatever means necessary to prevent him from doing reckless things. Protecting him from any threats.”

Fyodor liked everything he saw in the guy’s file, but he wanted to make sure that Bourean know everything.

(Fyodor’s intentions are not kind towards his son, lol. I’m updating Ilya’s background, I filled it out wrong)

@knightinadream group

If Romeo could be honest, he was unsure what Mr. Aslanov meant. Of course he would be loyal to Mr. Aslanov, his son, and the rest of their family. Hell, he'd be as loyal as he is to his own family. It only made sense to be after all. Part of him wondered if his potential soon-to-be boss was being a strict overprotective father or not, yet he felt uncomfortable trying to analyze everything at the moment.

His eyes didn't leave Mr. Aslanov's. "Yes, I would be loyal to your family, first and foremost," Romeo nodded. "Anything your family needs me to do, I will do it." That was true. He was sure that all he needed to do was to protect and look out for the man's son. Really shouldn't be that hard to do.

For a second, he copied the man in front of him by tilting his head in the same direction. "Mr. Aslanov, with all due respect, I will protect your son, never leave his side, and make sure that he will be alright and no do anything reckless. As you can see in my resume and records, you can be rest assured that your son will be in good hands. I am at your service, sir."
