Soon the bleeding ceased and Sia was able to pull away from it, quick enough to clean it up.

She gently washed it clean. "We're going to need to leave." She said quietly.

"Leave?" Gij croaked and sounded as if he's never heard of such a thing.

"The Sirens know where we are." She said, scrutinizing the wound.

Gij nodded. "Right…" Sobex recovered from his fall and bounded over, pressing his gently shaking body onto Gij's legs.

Sia wrapped the wound carefully. She stood up. "Rest while I get some things packed." She said.

Gij nodded. "What… what's shaking on my legs?"

"Sobex." Sia answered.

Gij groaned gently. Sobex shook harder.

Sia finished packing. She walked over to the bags she had dropped. "I got you a couple of shirts and a new hoodie." She said. She knelt down next to him. "I don't want you raising your arms above your head so I'll put the shirt on you."

Gij shook his head. "I'll… I'll do it…"

"No. If you over use it again it'll bleed."

Gij went to go sit up again anyway.

Sia pinned him down. "Stay down."

Gij struggled under her, but his amount of blood loss weakened him.

"Stay still." She commanded. She grabbed the shirt and eased it over his head.

Gij fell still, yet he was still breathing heavily.

Sia finished putting the shirt on him. "I found you a new hoodie." She said, holding it up for him to see.

He grinned as he saw it. "It looks great… thanks…"

Sia smiled. "Let's see if you can stand." She said, moving to help him. "We've got to get out soon. They'll probably be back."

Gij threw an arm around her neck. "I love you, Sia." He sighed gently after his sentence.

Sia paused a moment, stunned. "I love you too." She said, gently embracing him.

Gij hugged her back, pressing their foreheads together.

Sia closed her eyes, smiling softly.

Sobex yapped, sounding frightened still, and crawled onto their feet.

Sia opened her eyes, looking down. "What is it Sobex?"

Sobex curled up into his wings and yapped again. Gij coughed and translated, "I got hurt by the Sirens. He doesn't like seeing people hurt."
