The Queen of Light and King of Darkness have been rivals for centuries. In time of victory for either side, Day or Night can cover the lands for years on end. On the Battlefield, their warriors have been wasted and they battle under a full moon. There, it happens, the Mark of Mating appears on both of them. Now they must learn to love and live in harmony, or they could destroy their world for good.
Yes, you may (I would like to be the queen, but which do you prefer)
I can be the king, it doesn’t matter, and might I ask what the mark looks like?

So, do you want me to post a starter?
The moon shone bright over a blood ridden field. Warriors felt on either side but the forces fought with everything they had. Genesis ripped her cloak once more and used it to wrap a wound on her thigh. Grief Grief wracked through her as she stepped around the fallen. 'I refuse to lose…' She gripped her sword in her hand and approached the battle lone once more. There he was, the King of Darkness. Her enemy. The reason so many of her men lay dead on the grass this night. She let out a guttural cry and attacked, she swung her sword over head and brought it down on him quickly. "One of us will die tonight. I promise you." She growled at him.
He said nothing, swinging out his blade to block the attack. Or neither . . . War was a waste of resources, time and men. But within humanity there is always a darkness to bring death and destruction, to take away the peace and light. But without both Darkness and Light, the world would not be balanced. Genesis was the last of the 6 heirs, and Lien thought she was the best. He secretly admired her courage and perseverance, how she didn’t give in, her strength. But, she was of the light side, what a shame. He took a step back and swung his sword again, aiming to her side.
She jumped back but not before the tip of the blade could nick her side. Blood flowed down the patch of bare skin as she hissed at him. She reacted with speed, double slashing his chest. She knew he was strong, his father alone defeated 3 of her siblings and her father. She had every reason to believe he could do twice the damage. "No retorts my King?" She spat as she spun and aimed for his thigh.
(I have to eat, BBS)
“Talking is a waste,” He said. He changed position quickly, making sure he had himself guarded as well as possible and that he could evade an attack. He swung his sword at her, hearing the blades connect. He aimed for her sword arm, he needed to knock the sword out of her hand. And if she didn’t let go, who knows what would happen.
((KK))
Genesis lost her blade and stumbled back. She lifted her hazel gaze to Lein, her eyes filled with something more dangerous than hate. “Very well…” she purred menacingly. “We do this the hard way then…” She lashed out, aiming a fist as his jaw followed by a kick to his ribs. She swung with force as she kicked again, high this time, in hopes of striking his temple. Her heart was like the sound of war drums in her ears, loud, intoxicating, and threatening. It shocked her when it momentarily stopped, silence ringing in her mind. She faltered, missing her mark and landing in a crouch. She breathed heavily. Did her heart just….pause?
(Back)
Taking this moment, as Genesis was in a crouch, he bent down next to her. “The hard way,” He sent his hand out, punching her, hard.
Genesis groaned as she flew onto her back very unceremoniously. Black spots swam in her vision as she worked her jaw. He had to know it would take much more than a well-landed punch to stop her, right? She raised herself to a kneel and looked at him, blood running from the corner of her lip. She wiped it away and smiled a bloody smile. Her muscles tensing, she pounced on him, tackling him to the ground. ((Welcome back))
“Don’t drip blood on my face-,” He threw her off himself. “-please,” Not wanting to waste any time, he punched her again, then pulled her to her feet.
Genesis groaned as he dragged her to her feet. She looked at him, defiance shining in her eyes. She spat blood on his face and kneed him in the stomach. She doubled back and dropped into a fighting stance. Just then, the clouds parted, and the moon’s light shined down upon the pair. And that’s when the pain came.A stabbing ache pierced Genesis’s chest. She cried out and fell to her knees, clutching her chest. It only intensified as she fell to the dirt and arched her back in deafening scream. Black ink formed over her heart and shaped itself into a star. The mark of the Moon’s Binding.
He hit the blood soaked ground, pain spreading throughout his entire body. Dots swarmed his vision, his hands clenched into tight fists. Then, it went dark.
The Sun rose in the skin, filling the battlefield with golden light, out of place with all the gore to be held. Darkness soldiers trudged by, collecting their dead. But one woman was on a mission, Shuri, the royal advisor of the Darkness kingdom, scurried about with two soldiers, checking among the dead for her King. Please don’t be dead, Please don’t be dead… she pleaded in her mind. The King had yet to have in heir! Who would take his place and role just as righteously? She squealed when she found him and dropped to her need. She checked for his breath. “My Lord? Please wake up, my Lord!” she called to him, checking for wounds. Momentarily, she looked up to see the queen. She gasped. Had they killed eachother?
He woke, his head throbbing, Shuri trying to wake him. He squinted, the sun shone over the battlefield. “I’m alive,” He whispered. “Do not worry . . . How is it? How many have died?-“ He stopped short, catching his breath. It hurt to be awake. The sun was almost too bright.
Shuri shook her head. "My Lord, you are worse than I anticipated. There is a nurse waiting for you in your tent. Let us discuss details of war there." She placed a hand on his cheek, smiled, and turned to the soldiers. "You." she said to a ruggish and bulky one. "Gather the King, and be gentle." she demanded. She looked at the other. "Take the Queen into custody, we shall question her when she wakes." She looked back down at the king and rubbed some blood off his face. "You'll be fine, my Lord…" she cooed.
Genesis began to stir as she was lifted from the ground and carried. Her body screamed in protest and a small whimper escaped her. She felt hollow but something began to ache in her chest. It was like a rope being pulled taunt the farther she got from some point. She didn't know what it was but she knew she didn't want to leave it. The ached grew within her and in her muddled state, she tossed her head from side to side, pushing against the figure that held her. "No…" she groaned weakly. "N-no…"
He closed his eyes again, it proving to hard to keep them open. “Shuri . . . One last thing, Be nice to Genesis,” He shoved himself onto his elbows. He exhaled heavily, moving up into a sitting position. His head throbbed, his chest hurt, his cuts burned, but one sensation ruled overall, his heart ached, as if he was being separated from a loved one, a loss beyond compare, a found love, hard to explain or understand. He had suspicions, he would need to investigate later.
Shuri bowed her head to him, in reverence. "Very well…" she answered. "Place her in my tent, since I will be seeing to His Majesty." she told the soldier as he carried away a muttering Queen. "How merciful and kind you are my Lord, to bestow clemency on the Queen." she praised Lien. He was truly a wonderful king, and a wonderful man. She helped him to his feet slowly and as they made their way to his tent, she couldn't help but admire his physical strength as well.
