@Mr.Misfit

So if anyone here has read any of the Reckoners series, you'll know what this is. If you don't, allow me to explain:

It's set during modern times-ish, but with a few modifications. The primary modification being Calamity, an event that turned certain people into Epics. Essentially, they got super powers, and weaknesses. But they weren't superheroes.

In fact, they were quite the opposite.

Using their powers made them selfish, evil. It corrupted them. They now rule the United States, some governing new cities of people, others committing mass murder freely. No one dares challenge the Epics. They rule.

Except the reckoners, a group of rebels specialized in intel gathering and Epic killing.

If you would like to join, your character can be a civilian, a reckoner, OR an epic (I'll DM you how that works. There are good Epics, but it's kinda complicated.) If you are an Epic, describe your powers and your weakness. The weakness doesn't have to make sense, again, I'll explain that in private.

@Mr.Misfit

(Hey! I'm glad someone else knows what I'm talking about! Some people just think I'm talking about the band. I'm probs gonna be a Reckoner. Haven't quite decided. You?)

@Mr.Misfit

(Seeing as how you've read the series, I doubt I have to explain it to you. I haven't yet read Calamity, so Firefight is as far as my knowledge extends.)

@Mr.Misfit

(Epic? Freaking Prof. He's such a badass, regardless of what happened at the end. Cody is my fav Reckoner. Partially because I also happen to be a redneck with irish descent.)

@ONLINE_ROBO

(LOL)( All Hardman did was keep *Knees in place, but Abraham— wait can't spoil!)( Anyway you'll read it towards the end of the book)

Zack slid into cover just in time to avoid being seen.

Scorcher, the fire Epic who had wandered into Newcago, strolled into view from Zack's perch in one of the upper story windows, that was still understreet territory. From where he was he had a good view of the whole street. From here, he met as well have provided coverfire, or ran on-field ops.

Not his style.

He took the hook from his belt and clapped it over the cable above his window. Then he attached a bucket of water, careful not to spill any.

Scorcher continued on his little walk, and neared the space underneath the cable. As he did, Zack let go of the bucket, letting it zip down the line. Scorcher stopped to look up, and Zack just about laughed.

Epics can be pretty stupid

He took the shot on the bucket, tipping it as it flew across and dropping water over Scorcher's head, who by now was getting out of the way. He sidestepped along the cable's length, but Zack kept shooting the bucket, creating a line of water that persued Scorcher. Not stopping to see if he had hit his mark with the water, Zack hopped onto the cable, one gloved hand holding the cable, the other a handgun. He took a deep breath and fell onto the street.

Scorcher was dry and in flames.

"Ah, Misty?" Zack asked, running in the opposite direction as he felt fire singe ihis back, "Don't suppose you still want that twenty?"
