alarm rings
"Ugh." Kat groaned as she slowly made her way out of bed. It was finally Saturday and she had a lot to do, she went to her closet and picked out a pair of jean shorts and cropped shirt. She slowly made her way downstairs and to the door to her car. (that good?)

Tyler walked through the city with nothing really to do. He was wearing his normal black tank, and cargo pants. He wasn't paying attention to where he was walking and just about walked into an open car door and the young girl standing next to it.

"Excuse me?" Kat said staring at the boy, "Are you lost or something…?"

Tyler bounced back suddenly when he was talked to. "Oh, no I'm so sorry I was lost in thought and not paying attention to where I was going. I promise I did not mean to suddenly run into you. I'm not a creepo dude trying to hit on you or anything, I'm so sorry." He felt like a complete idiot for that.

She stared at him, not knowing what to stay. "Uh my names Katherine, Kat for short." She said holding out her had.

Tyler looked at her hand for a moment before shaking it. "Tyler," he said. "I'm so sorry. I'm kind of a klutz."

"It's ok…" Kat said, they stood there both silent, "I'm going to go… Are you ok to get home by yourself?"

"Yeah, until I run into some one else anyway," Tyler joked placing his hand on the back of his neck. "Do you need any help with anythi-" he was cut off by the ground suddenly lurching under them. He stumbled, and almost fell over. "What was that?"

Kat fell over from the ground, she got back up and said, "I-I don't know?"

Tyler placed his hand carefully on the lower of his back where he kept his glock. "I don't really have anything I need to do today, thanks for offering though," he let his arm go back down to his side. "That felt kind of like an earthquake, didn't it?"
