"Nobody's perfect," Thomas smiled and took another long drink. "I try to be though."

"I think that's your biggest flaw. Trying to be perfect, I mean." Orion pointed at him.

Thomas shrugged. "Probably. What about you though? How'd you grow up? Biggest flaws?"

"I grew up alright. I had a lot of daddy issues. Fear of failure. A few attempts, if you catch my drift." Orion looked away, out the window. "I dunno. My cats are supposed to be therapy animals."

"Mm," Thomas hummed and look a long sip of his drink. "Yeah, a lot of people have rough upbringings."

"They never talk about them, anyway." Orion finished her drink and poured the ice out on a napkin so she could eat the last tapioca bubbles.

"It's not usually the best conversation starter," Thomas laughed a little bit. "So- uh… Do you wanna do something after this?"

"W-What?" She flushed immediately. "I'm sorry?" One of the tapioca pearls fell out of her grasp.

"There's a movie I wanna see playing in theaters. You wanna go? I don't have to work till eight tonight."

"Oh. Oh. I-I. . . That. Would be good. I think?" She struggled to form a sentence. She clearly thought the wrong thing.
