Veronica looked down at her phone as she drove when it rang, telling her she had gotten a text message. She picked it up and continued to drive with her other hand, looking between the road and the phone. She laughed slightly and set it down before turning on the radio.
Kallen frowned at her in concern. "You shouldn't text and drive Veronica, you could get us killed."
"Calm down Kallen," Veronica said, looking over at him and smiling mischievously. "I can multitask."
Kallen's frown deepened, and he switched the radio from the weird pop hits station Veronica has it on to a news station. "That's impossible Veronica. Who were you even texting?"
"Kallennn," Veronica complained, frowning. She shook her head and looked at her phone. "And it was um…my dad?"
"Don't pick up your phone again!" he complained. The news mentioned something about dragon sitings in the area, so he turned up the volume. Hopefully they wouldn't disrupt the trip.
