It was the first day of school. Friends and enemies alike were reunited with glorious fanfare. The loud sounds of lockers slamming and friendly chatter filled the halls. Teachers stood outside their doors and guided lost students to their classes like shepherds herding a flock of confused sheep.

Meghan Laine sat there, watching the events unfold. Her round blue-grey eyes surveyed the front lobby. Hardly anyone noticed her, though. Maybe it was because no one knew who she was. Fair enough – She didn't know any of them either. Or maybe… Maybe it was because of Miss Tammy.

The short, brown haired woman sat beside Meghan on a bench in the lobby. Together, they adjusted to the stirring scene around them.
"It's been a long time since I've been to high school, you know it Miss Meghan," she remarked after a bit.
You're old, Meghan signed with a grin.
"Oh you wicked, unfeeling girl!" Miss Tammy laughed.

(When Meghan's signing, the text will be like this. However, she knows that not many people know/can preform ASL, so she also has a tablet that she writes stuff on, and she'll show it to people. When she writes on her tablet, the text will be formatted like this.)

Aza stood surreptitiously by her locker, the hood of her hoodie up. She hugged her things to her chest, trying not to drop anything. She walked self-consciously to her first class, a sketching pencil between her teeth. When she sat down, she removed the pencil and immediately began a new sketch of a dragon.

"How did I even end up with Culinary Arts as a class?" Melody exclaimed, throwing her hands up dramatically. She'd gotten her schedule a week before, and the guidance counselor had apparently decided to ignore the electives she'd chosen, and the entire conversation about the incident back in middle school.

The secretary at her desk just shot her a look, and Melody lowered her hands. Her nails tapped on the arm of the chair as she slouched just a bit, and she rolled her eyes. This was turning out to be incredibly far from a good year, that was for sure. It was high school though, why had she expected any different?

Marie walked into school, wearing a JubyPhonic t-shirt. She glanced down at her class list again. She bit her lip. She didn't like having art first. She preferred having it at the end of the day, so she could unwind through her art. Shrugging, she headed off to the office to drop off her physical for soccer.

Robin walked into the school and immediately he felt nervous. Slowly he made his way to his first period according to his schedule. He couldn't really hear anyone speaking around him as he walked with earbuds in and the volume up pretty high. He was not prepared for today. Why did they even have to go to school he thought. Robin made it to the classroom with no incidents then sat at a desk near the back and put his head down.

Amber walked into the school and sneered at some of the people to pass her. She walked over to her friends and they all started laughing and joking. She was in no rush to get to class, plus you can't get marked tardy on the first day back. So they sat in the cafeteria talking and catching up since they haven't seen eachother in 'so long'. It had been 2 whole days.

The bell rang over the speakers, signaling the start of the day. Both Meghan and Miss Tammy jumped as hoards of kids rushed off to their classes.
"Where are we off to first, Miss Meghan?" Miss Tammy asked, motioning to Meghan's tablet. The schedule was pulled up on her screen. "Art? Good Lord…"
Let's go. We'll be late, Meghan prompted, shutting off the tablet.
"I don't know how I put up with you some days," Miss Tammy muttered, standing and waiting for Meghan to lead the way.
Meghan smiled sweetly and headed in the direction of her class.
The pair arrived to see nearly all the seats taken.
"Why don't you sit over there, and I'll stand," Miss Tammy suggested, already nudging Meghan in the direction of an empty table near the back.

Meghan looked around the classroom curiously. She reached out and took a pair of scissors from the bin in the middle of the table. She opened and closed them before putting them back again and turning on her tablet.

Robin lifted his head up a bit and looked down at his phone to change the song. He was about to when Amber his sister walked over and sat next to him.

"Hello." She said with a smile

He shook his head and ignored her. Then she took his headphones and glared at him.

"Excuse me I said hello. The proper response would be a greeting back."

"Hey…" He said quietly.

She smiled then moved her seat somewhere else.

"Alright, your schedule has been switched up a bit." The secretary said, handing Melody a new piece of paper. "Art is your first period. Now hurry up."

Melody brightened instantly, grabbing her bag and slipping out of the office. Art would be fun, even if she'd have to pretend not to enjoy it. She made her way to the art classroom, taking a seat near a girl she'd never seen before, and pulled out her phone.

Jemi arrived slightly late to her first period. Art. She looked around at some familiar faces and some new ones before slipping to the back and finding a seat. There was a new girl sitting just a few seats away from her, and she had a tablet out too. What in the world…?

Aza blew a flyaway out of her eyes, then glanced behind her. A cute kid was sitting behind her, so she whirled back around, hoping that the boy hadn't noticed her. She flipped her Monokuma hood back and stared down at her drawing.

Jam cussed under his breath as he struggled to pull his bag over both shoulders. He was late. For the first day of school.

As he dashed into the school, wildly looking around. He caught sight of Quincy - the preppy kid who bullied him his freshman year. Quincy ignored him, looking a bit paled. The senior probably fell behind in school. Jam himself had done so only once. It was hell.

He shook it off and hurried to his first class, Art.

He didn’t enjoy it, but he needed the credit.

Robin pulled out a notebook from his backpack then some pencils. He started drawing the cloaked figure. His music still drowning out the sounds of the people around him as he ignored everyone around them. He was just waited for the teacher to comeback and the class to start.

Meghan looked around when a girl sat near her and noted that the room was getting more full. Miss Tammy stood in the back corner, giving her a reassuring smile. She picked up her fingers and signed: You got this.
Meghan smiled back. Thanks. You too, old woman.
Miss Tammy rolled her eyes and shook her head.

Jam groaned as he sat in a random seat, throwing his head back and sighing softly. He glanced around, noting first the older woman in the back, and then the small girl the older woman signed to. He didn't know sign, but wondered anyways what they said.

His eyes flickered around the rest of the class room, taking in the large amount of colors and painting. A soft sound left his throat, an annoyed expression on his face.

When the girl a few tables away held up her drawing, Meghan could see it. She wrote something down on her tablet, then walked over and tapped the girl on the shoulder.
