Darren suddenly got nervous, now he was the one blushing, "Well I mean, i-if you want to. Y-Yeah that was my intention,"

Tara smiled brightly. "Ha-ha! Now look who's blushing?" She said triumphantly. "Yes Darren, I would love to go out with you again." She added.

Darren smiled, "Sweet. And yes, I know but I'm not the one who's been blushing all night!"

Tara blushed again. "Touche." She replied as she started for Darren's car.

Darren followed her and got in and drove, stopping outside her house. He got out with intentions of walking her to her door.

Tara smiled as she got out of the car and looked around the apartment building's parking lot. I hate parking lots. Tara shook it off quickly.

Darren walked beside her, his fingers brushing hers as they walked.

Tara silently slipped her hand into Darren's intertwining their fingers. She hoped that Abby hadn't stayed up for her or she could be in serious trouble.

Darren grinned as he held her hand, they stopped outside her door, "So here you are I suppose,"

Darren nodded, "I'm glad you had fun," He responded softly, his gaze dropping to her lips, lingering there, then traveling back to her eyes.

Tara blushed again, looking away from him.

He really didn't mean to say it, but the faintest whisper slipped out with his thoughts, "I might kiss you," He realized it and blushed but said nothing more.

Tara looked back at Darren. "Then what's stopping you?" She whispered back. She couldn't believe she had just said that.

Darren didn't expect that as an answer but clearly took it seriously, his hand slipping onto her face as his face drew closer. Before he knew what was happening their lips were brushing together softly.

Tara's eyes fluttered shut as she kissed him back, her heart threatening to burst out of her chest.

Darren's heart was hammering in his chest, he had no clue where the sudden confidence had come from but if it got him here, he didn't care.

All of the fear and pain Tara was feeling disappeared as soon as Darren kissed her. She felt like nothing else mattered anymore, just what was happening right there, right then. Tara felt a feeling she hadn't in a long time, peace.

Darren took a step closer, he never wanted this to end. His other hand slipped around her waist. He remembered the time and how late it was and pulled away slowly, staring at her with a small smile.

Tara looked up at Darren and gave him a small smile. She couldn't do anything for a moment, stunned that Darren had kissed her. "Um…" She finally managed.

Darren's smile only grew, "It's late, I should probably…"
