(kk)

Jared's mother, Mrs McKay, drove Victor to the house, chatting nearly the whole time. "Now, I didn't warn him, because if I had, he would have thrown a tantrum about it. But that boy can't be left alone right now, and he needs somebody to protect him from the press." She said.

He chuckled quietly. "it's no issue, ma'am.i was trained for this. I can assure you that your son is in safe hands." He says gently. His eyes are soft as he looks around the car. He recognized this road…

@ElderGod-Icefire

(hey, the RP with Lucien and Aki is still going to continue, right? Because there's been no response to that for a few days?)

Mrs McKay nodded. "I know, and that's why I hired you. Now…some nights you may be required to stay longer, for a variety of reasons…you know how to help with PTSD symptoms, correct?" She asked.

@Vuclan-is-tired

(Yeah! Sorry, I've been really busy with theater. It was performing weekend.)

Victor watches as the scenery passes. He looks up when spoken to and nods. "I planned to stay through the night, in complete honesty. Nights are the most dangerous to cope with. As for dealing with PTSD symptoms and episodes, yes. I have been in the field for a while. I can handle it." He says quietly.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(its totally fine! Ooh cool, what play/musical/whatever?)

She nodded, sighing with relief. "Oh, good. His father and I have been trying…but all the damn books in the world, and I still don't know how to help." She shook her head, pulling up the driveway to the same house from yesterday.

@Vuclan-is-tired

(It's called Murder in the Heir. I was in charge of make up and hair.)

"When you've been on the field as long as I have, miss. You learn to deal with it rather quickly." He mutters softly, a small sigh escaping his lips. "As for help, you're trying your best to learn, and that is truly honorable." He replies. He looks up at the house and grabs his briefcase and smiled kindly. "I can assure you, miss. Your son is safe with me."

@ElderGod-Icefire

(oh cool!)

Mrs McKay nodded. "Alright." She parked the car, and got out, leading the way to the house. She knocked on the door. "I forgot my keys. He should be up by now." She explained, turning to Victor.

@Vuclan-is-tired

Victor gets out as well, shutting the door carefully, since his brute strength had once torn a car door off once before. He nods to Mrs. McKay and smiled gently. He followed after her.

@ElderGod-Icefire

After a few minutes, Jared opened the door, red hair sticking up and wild. He was wearing a wrinkled button up shirt, and…boxers. His eyes widened as he saw them, cheeks turning red. "Mom!" He exclaimed, slamming the door shut again. "You should have told me to get dressed!"

Mrs McKay raised her eyebrows. "Just put pants on, Jared." She replied, chuckling. "How was I supposed to know you weren't wearing any?"

@Vuclan-is-tired

Victor looked up from his watch when he heard the door opened. His eyebrow raised faintly at the… attire of the other but he didn't question it. He chuckled softly at Jared's surprise before looking away, being respectful about Jared's privacy. His ears were a soft red but he would deny it later on.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jared groaned. "Mooomm!!" He sighed. "I'll be right back, then." After a few minutes, he opened the door again, wearing a pair of jeans. He cleared his throat, cheeks still pink with embarrassment. "So…whats going on?" He asked. His eyes flicked to Victor, widening slightly in recognition.

His mom smiled slightly. "This is Victor, he's going to be your new bodyguard. And he can help with the… PTSD symptoms." She replied gently.

@Vuclan-is-tired

Victor chuckled quietly as the other scurried off to change. He had time to compose himself at least. He glanced at Mrs. McKay before checking his watch, a nervous tick he had. When the other returned he offered a tiny smile. He bowed politely. "So we meet again, Jared." He chuckled quietly.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jared chuckled softly. "We do." he replied to Victor, then looked at his mother. "Mom, I…don't need a guard." he replied slowly. "No offense, Victor." he glanced at Victor, then back at his mother.

Mrs McKay shook her head slightly. "Jared…you need somebody to help you if you aren't at home and the PTSD symptoms act up. Okay? It makes me nervous when you go out alone."

@Vuclan-is-tired

Victor shook his head. "None taken." He says a small smile on his lips. "I am just here to do what your mother has requested." he states simply, his eyes gentle. His hands were tucked gently into his pockets. A little smile was on his lips.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jared sighed loudly, leaning against the doorframe. "Okay. Fine." he replied, raking a hand through his already messy hair. "Come on in, I guess." he moved so he was no longer in the doorway, fidgeting a little. There were smudges under his eyes from sleepless nights.

Mrs McKay nodded, and came in, gesturing to Victor to come in, and closed the door once they were all inside.

@Vuclan-is-tired

Victor chuckled quietly at that before clearing his throat and smiling softly. His own white blonde hair was pulled back neatly, showing off his beautiful and heavily lashed eyes. He adjusts his trench coat before following after Mrs. McKay. He hung his jacket up and looked around the familiar house.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"So… what's this all about?" Jared asked, looking over at them and biting his lower lip a little.

"I decided to hire Victor here to be your…bodyguard, I suppose. This way, if you freeze up or have another one of your attacks, there's someone to keep you safe." Mrs McKay replied.

Jared sighed. "There's no changing your mind, is there?" He mumbled, raking a hand through his hair.

@Vuclan-is-tired

Victor sat down, crossing one leg over the other and folding his hands neatly across his knee. Victor listened quietly, his eyes kept steady on the mother and her son. Not only was he here to help with PTSD episodes but to also keep him safe and from possible other kidnapping sprees. He didn't think it was wide to say that openly though, since who knew what it might trigger.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Mrs McKay shook her head. "No. I want to keep you safe, as much as I can. I don't want…anything to happen." She seemed to skirt around what she was really trying to say.

Jared swallowed slightly. "Okay. Fine." He replied, raking a hand through his hair again.

Mrs McKay smiled. "I'll be in my office if you need me." She kissed his cheek and left the room.

Jared plopped down on the couch, and looked over at Victor. "I can't tell if it's coincidence that she hired you, or if you knew last night." He remarked.

@Vuclan-is-tired

Victor was currently looking at messages from his phone when Jared sat beside him. He chuckled quietly. "I knew that I was taking on a job last night, but I did not know it was specifically you that I would be guarding. I suppose it was just luck that I ran into you last night." he replies as he fixed his hair.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Oh good, that makes this only slightly less embarrassing." Jared replied with a soft sigh. "So…I haven't had anyone following me around since I was like…ten years old, so i don't really remember how I'm supposed to behave." He shrugged.

@Vuclan-is-tired

Victor chuckles softly. "Behave normally, I suppose." He hums as he runs a hand through his hair. "And don't worry about me watching your every move. I'm just here to make sure you're safe and that I can coax you through your episodes. Other then that, I am simply a shadow." He shrugs.
