The ship rumbled and jolted a little. "Cody mumbled something under his breath and hit another switch.

“Ummm, is there something wrong?” Linx’s voice shook with nerves.

"No no just the usual start up!" Cody called over his shoulder.

“Ok then.”

“This is not reassuring.” London muttered, sitting down.

Cody grabbed the wheel and lifted. The ship shook a little then smoothed out as it took off.

"This should end well," Skye murmured under her breath.

They broke through the atmosphere and Cody let the ship steady itself. He flicked on the autopilot switched and swiveled his seat. "So, Where are you all from?"

Lynx shrugged. “Born and raised in New Orleans. Currently live in Seattle.”

"Nice."

"I lived in Minnesota most of my life, then moved to New Orleans for a couple of years, but now I'm back in the Land of 10,000 Lakes," Skye stated proudly, grinning.

“I went to Seattle once.”

He nodded. "I've been there before! It's nice!"

“Yeah. To be honest, it’s way better than New Orleans.”

"Nice and rainy…." Cody sighed. "Reminds me of Ireland which is where I'm from!"

“Ireland has great slang.”

"You bet it does!" Cody smiled.

“Really? I wouldn’t have really placed your accent as European.”

"I'm Irish through and through!" Cody insisted. "You can bet yer buttons!"
