Mira jumped off the branch and landed on her feet. "What are you doing"

"Wasn't planning to eavesdrop, I really wasn't!" Alec cried, panicking. "I just came out here to catch my breath."

"Then why did you?" Mira asked taken aback by his panicking

"Um, I don't know. I was just curious I guess… and it's not like there was anything better to do."

Mira frowned "why would you be curious about what we were talking about"

"Because you were talking about me," he said, a little embarrassed.

"still no reason to eavesdrop on us"

Alce turned angry. "Fine. I don't have a good excuse for spying on you guys. Happy now?"

"No Im not" Mira said and went to climb the tree

"Fine. Can I go now?"

“Woah-what is going on here?” Lucius asked, emerging from inside the school. He was in the library but heard concerning noises.

Alec shoved past him and entered the school without replying.

“Rude.” Lucius said, raising an eyebrow.

"You're rude!" Alec shouted back, not caring that he was being too loud.

“That’s not how it works.”

Alec was breathing hard. "I don't care!" he said, but it came out as more of a wail.

(HELP THIS IS LIKE A COUPLE ARGUMENT AH IM SHIPPING IT WHY AM I SHIPPING IT?)
“Well are you okay?”

"No," he said, "I'm not."

“Yeah I can tell.” Lucius said, “What’s wrong?”

"Just a bad day," he said, "And people I don't like."

“People like me? Or worse?”

"You're not that bad…" he said, then paused. "I suppose I don't think anyone's bad, just that they say things that upset me unintentionally."

(Are they far away or next to eachother? I have lost track.)
“Everyone just feels differentally about things, that’s all.” Lucius said warmly.

(Uh, I guess that Alec stopped right after he passed Lucius, so… next to each other? I think?)
"What does that even mean?"

Lucius shrugged, “Some people just don’t get along and/or agree with others.”

Alec snorted. "Well, we definitely don't get along."

“You mean the two girls?”

"Yeah. How do you know?"

“… I could hear you three.” Lucius said, then blushed, “I-I didn’t mean to! It’s just that I can hear a lot of things! Sorry!”

"No, it's fine. I shouldn't be the one to criticize people for eavesdropping," he said, feeling a little embarrassed.
