"Leave," James said simply. He understood the elder's irritation, but they needed to understand, "Or I suppose you'll join the other 10 and I would rather that didn't happen."

Damn… Aurelius thought, he really went there.
“We have this safe haven that has been standing for over a century, and you expect us to leave? Upon the advice of a stranger?”
“Yes! Are all of you daft?” Aurelius shouted.
His face had gone a little red and his eyes were closed as he finished what he was saying.
“Unless you like the idea of being burnt to a crisp that is.”

Quincy stepped forward preventing her brother from speaking again, "This is the best idea. I rather like staying alive."

“We’ll discuss it,” a woman said curtly.
“No you won’t,” Aurelius whispered to himself, “You never do.”
“Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have important business to continue.”
Aurelius turned around and started walking towards the exit, muttering angrily to himself the whole time.

James and Quincy both left after Aurelius. Quincy let out a sigh, "That went about as well as I expected."

James raised an eyebrow, "So poorly?"

"Yes."

“Yup,” Aurelius muttered, “Looks like we may have to take some matters into our own hands.”

"Looks like it," Quincy let out a sigh, "I'll start packing up if you two want to spread the word to the people. Then me and Aurelius can switch out once I come back and he can go pack his stuff."

“Yeah, okay. I have to go back to Mara. I told her I wouldn’t be long, then this all happened,” Aurelius said.

James nodded, "Of course. I'll come with you so we can head out from there."

Mara had fallen asleep against Riven. She pretty much got all the cleaning done. And with everything that happened today she was exhausted.

“Alright. We’ll have to break this news to the poor girl. She just got here…” Aurelius said, looking very tired and worn, “If we can be quick, collateral should be minimized though.”

"Yep," James nodded, "Let's get going. See you soon Quincy."

Quincy nodded and quickly moved back towards her house with Jade.

Aurelius waved to Quincy and kept going towards Mara’s home.
He knocked on the door and said, “I’m back!”

Mara jumped from the sound and laid back down to calm herself before getting up. "Come in." Riven looked up and at the door. He had gotten some good rest and it was very much needed.

Aurelius opened the door.
“Do you mind if James comes in too?” he asked.

"Sure, I don't mind." She opened the door more to let anyone who was there in. "So, what is the pleasure of everyone coming to my home?"

Aurelius bit his lip.
“We might have a bit of a problem on our hands. That’s kind of an understatement actually.”

"What is it?" Mara was curious, but not all that scared. It couldn't be that serious. Riven stood as well, he could sense how Nox was feeling a little worried.

James nodded and stepped in, "Yeah. From what I get you just moved in, but we need to leave. This village could be burned down at any moment, so the sooner or better."

"Wait," Mara rubbed the bridge of her nose, "I cleaned this house fir nothing?" Sure being burned down wasn't good, but to clean this whole house to live in and she has to leave and it might get burned down? It was unfair. "Do you know who these people are?"
(Should I be ready to bring Zander in?)

"No clue," James responded with a sigh, "I just know it'll happen soon."

(Yeah, maybe he can meet Valkyrie?)
“Yeah… I’m sorry, Mara.”
The truth was, he was starting to feel extremely sad and fell quiet. He had lived here his whole life, and now this?

"Well, at least I didn't have enough time to get attached. Sorry to hear about your home. But if someone's coming, we need to be prepared. I taught myself to fight, so I'm not the best, but I'm able to protect myself. I need a weapon though." Mara needed something just in case she needed to protect herself or someone else.

Zander.
Before Zander destroys this town, he wanted to take a look for himself, to find some weak points. It would happen tonight. He left his dragon behind and put on a disguise. A wig, clothes that the people wear everything. Zander was just as smart as Mara, but in a bit of a different way. Mara was book smart, but Zander ever since he was young watched people and could tell how they were feeling, and what thinking just by looking at them. This is why he is so good at pretending, he adapts easily to any surrounding and he is an expert at acting. He always felt it would come more in handy then what Mara knows. He went up to a food stand and asked for some stew. Zander wanted to look as normal as possible.

"Yeah, I can buy any armor or weapons you might need before we leave," Aurelius said, "With any luck, no fighting will be necessary, but I doubt that's going to be the case."

Valkyrie was walking through the merchant's square when Ragnarok slapped his tail down in front of her. He had caught sight of Zander. This must be the man he had been told to anticipate.
"Valkyrie, my darling. There's someone I would like you to meet," he said.
Ragnarok led her closer to the stranger.
"Go on. Don't be shy now."
Valkyrie cast a sideways glance at Ragnarok and approached more deliberately.
"Hey. I haven't seen you around these parts before," Valkyrie said to Zander, "Are you a traveler?"

"I… am…" He had a feeling she came to him for a reason, and it wasn't to talk about him. Plus. Zander looked back at her dragon. Her dragon looked a tad familiar. "Was there something you needed?" There were to many people around for them to talk properly. And does she know the code?

"My dragon here said he wanted me to meet you. He didn't say why, but I'm sure we can figure that out," Valkyrie replied.
"Invite him somewhere private to talk," Ragnarok hissed in her ear.
"Are you comfortable talking here?" she asked.

"Hm?" He looked around and saw that there was a hill behind the town a bit. "That looks like a nice place to talk." It had beautiful green grass and some trees for shade. It was too bad that it would all be ruined tonight.

Valkyrie nodded.
“Perfect. Let’s go.”
She led the way to the shaded area.

"So, I vet the feeling you didn't walk up to me for a causal chat." He eyed the girl with his dark brown eyes. They were so dark they almost looked black. He was pale like Mara and had jet black hair liked she used too. You could definitely tell they were from the same clan if you take a close look.

“Valkyrie, the plan is to destroy the village. You never trusted dragons or riders, and now is your chance to stop them and protect others from unruly dragons,” Ragnarok growled.
“What? Destroy the village?” Valkyrie gasped. She locked gazed with Zander. “Is that what you’re here for?”
