Hey, I'm open for a one on one roleplay! It's going to be a kinda slow burn enemies to lovers roleplay, m/m, m/w, w/w… anything goes!

Plot
The hero has shown up on the villain's doorstep, shivering and wet. They have a dazed, confused look in their eyes, like they've been drugged, and they have many bleeding cuts and flowering bruises spreading across their skin, which you can see through their torn clothes. When the villain opens their door and takes all of this in, they hear the hero mutter "…didn't know where else to go…" The hero collapses, and the villain has to take care of the hero/help the hero find out who did this to them. The RP starter should start with the hero showing up. How you describe it in specific is up to you, but please try to keep the basic details the same!

(Here she is! My beautiful villainess. Grins Enjoy!)

Name: Theresa Summer, A.K.A. "Voidstalker"

Age: 23

Race: Human

Gender/sexuality: Female, pansexual, she/her pronouns

Appearance: She is 5'8". She's a little on the slim side, but is lean enough not to be considered unnattractively thin, although she's never cared much about appearances. She has caramel skin, near flawless besides a scar on her left shoulder from a fight with her archnemesis. She has strikingly pale irises, nearly white and invisible. She has a tattoo of a star on her right shoulder, inked in a deep black. She has long, straight natural black hair, with natural white streaks in it, giving her a startling appearance, wich, when combined with her eyes and her skin, makes anybody hesitant to approach her. She has flawless teeth, and a charming smile when she isn't doing her villain stuff.

Personality: She's a little shy, but has a surprising ammount of confidence in herself, without being conceited. She doesn't actually like doing what she does, but she was forced to because none of the campuses for hero training would accept her because of her appearance and the nature of her powers. She's a kind person, but has to be harsh to everyone to avoid them getting too close. She keeps her head down, besides the whole supervillain thing, and minds her own business. She doesn't like rudeness, and has 0 tolerance for conceitedness.

Superpower(s): She has the ability to reach through and control any form of shadow/darkness, and can turn the shadows and darkness she controls into a solid state around or inside a victim, or into a form of her choice for her use. She can also speak through the darkness/shadows; because of this, her superpower also grants her speed and stealth beyond what humans normally have, and enhanced hearing/sight.

Villain outfit: Her villain outfit consists of a black leather tunic, molded to fit her form but allow a full range of movement; black leather pants, loose enough to allow her to move freely; a black leather belt/harness, for her weapons and tools; soft leather boots, plated with shadow on the shin area with rubber soles; a breastplate, grieves and gauntlets made out of her solid shadows to protect her against more substantial attacks; a black cloak, with a deep peaked hood to conceal her face; and a black mask, to conceal her face should her hood ever come off in battle.

Likes/dislikes: She likes animals, kindness, cloudy/rainy days, quiet and darkness/dark colors. She dislikes loud noises, most people, the government for forcing her to be a "villain", bright colors/lights and her archnemesis (Which will obviously change, but still).

Background: She came from a dirt poor family, rooting through garbage to find clothes and food until she was 10, which is when her powers started to emerge. By this time the government had learned that people were developing powers, and were offering $520.5 thousand for any information on these "mutants". Her parents had obviously learned of this, and knew not to get too attached to anything they had. As a result, they were constantly ignoring their daughter, letting her fend for herself; they willingly brought the people their daughter, expecting to be rewarded. Instead, their daughter watched her parents get shot in front of her. She was then brought to a lab, to have tests run on her to see what gave her these powers. They never succeeded in determining this, because when she was twelve, she escaped. She'd been secretly honing her skills, and was confident enough in her abilities to escape. She's been hiding ever since, raiding these labs and freeing the people inside.

Other: She goes by Tessa, and does not like being called Theresa because it makes her feel old. She uses a bow and arrows fashioned from darkness, impossible to trace. She's also skilled with pistols, sniper rifles, swords and knives. She gets stressed under certain circumstances, and never kills. She only ever incapacitates her opponents.

Name: Adonis Rhee a.k.a. Aeterno the Mighty
Age: 24
Race: Human
Gender/sexuality: Cis male (He/Him), Omnisexual
Appearance: Adonis stands roughly around six foot four to six foot five. His skin is a warm ivory tone with a slight tan. He has a rectangular muscular build. When he is in superhero mode, his hair is white, but when he is undercover, it is a medium brown. Sometimes it stays white and takes a while to change back, but he has no control over it. His hair is short and curtain styled. Also his almond-shaped eyes are a dark brown, but change to a bright icy-blue when in superhero mode; he also has no control over it. All over his back are light scars, but he has no recollection of why they're there. Below his right eye, he has a little beauty mark.
Personality: A naturally fearless and selfless person, Adonis is always looking out for those who are in danger or need of help. Generally, he is a warm person who brings joy and energy wherever he goes. A great listener, he enjoys others talking to him. While he is strong and independent, he is a soft person who likes to lean on others. Lowkey has a habit of flirty with others, Adonis doesn't even notice it. He is a simple person who really does not get mad; well, he tries not to for everyone's sake. Adonis is a stubborn person who will not stop at anything. He thinks that he gives up something then he is at fault and is weak. Despite being so outgoing and compassionate, he has a fixed mindset that is hard for him to get out of; regardless, Adonis always means well.
Superpower(s): His main power is the ability to generate fire in which he can also control most of the time. There is also thermal resistance and enhanced strength. Also he can detect a person through heat.
Hero/villain outfit: His outfit consists of a white mask, a light blue sleeveless sweater, white/light blue robe with a hood, and boots. The mask only covers his eyes and stays on most of the time; it is retrofitted, helping him see things from a distance. The robe is a light blue ombre color. It also has a black belt he uses to keep the robe from easily coming off. On his wrists are silver gauntlet bracelets that used to be his father's; while they seem like they aren't really any use, they serve as a reminder to him to push on.
Likes/dislikes: Adonis likes being around others, swimming and any other exercising, physical affection, books, rainy mornings, art museums, and helping; secretly likes karaoke. He doesn't like giving up or being forced to, villains he goes up against or any gang group, cold weather, and mint chocolate chip ice cream.
Background: Adonis's parents died a few months before his first birthday in a strange car accident. No one really knows what happened, and the video evidence still leaves people with more questions. He was taken in by his grandpa and "uncle"; his "uncle" is his father's friend who was adopted by his grandpa. His grandpa came from a long line of warriors and even used to be a soldier himself. Adonis knew that he was strange from the start. When he was six, he broke a table after slamming his pencil against it. No one really wanted to play with him since he usually would end up breaking something or hurting someone. Until he was in fourth grade, he was lonely. Thankfully he started to make friends. His grandpa helped him learn how to master and handle his strange abelites while his uncle would assist. Meanwhile his cousins just thought that he was weird.

For years, things seemed to be normal. One day after a swimming competition, Adonis noticed someone who was staring at him when he was outside of the school. The man looked like it was his father. He decided to follow him into the forest nearby until he blacked out. Everything after that is a blur. He woke up warm yet shivering. His hair was white and his eyes were blue. Adonis was in a burning building before passing out again.

Things were a mixture of weird and nice at the same time. Adonis ended up graduating high school then went to a university in the city for history and creative writing. A few times he ended up saving someone while just out and about. His freshman year, he became a superhero deciding to use his abilities for something good. The superhero Aeterno the Mighty rose to power, going out to save the day and everybody.
Other: Adonis has a foggy memory as a result of the strange incident and his abilities. He has the habit to write things down on something like the leather-bounded journal he carries around. On another note, he is fluent in two other languages, is skilled in first aid, and is a great climber.

(I love him!!!)
(On another note, since this starts based off of the hero, would you mind posting the starter?)

Help me. Everything around him was spinning. His feet were light against the wet pavement while his skin felt bleak. Adonis had his arms crossed, holding himself as he trudged forward. The pacing of his walking started to slow down without himself even thinking about it. Whatever just happened moments ago, he doesn't even know. It hurts just to even think.

Around a quarter to ten, he had gotten a call of emergency from his phone about an attack on the east side of the city in a warehouse. After putting on his superhero suit, he went down to see what was going on, but saw nothing there. Going deeper inside, it was all quiet. The only thing he saw was a dark black mist.

The moment he saw the mist, someone appeared behind him. Adonis tried to attack them, but they disappeared, only to reappear and stab him in the lower right side of his abdomen. He tried to continue on, but it was a losing feat to begin with. The last time he saw the mysterious thing, it grabbed him by his hair then threw him back against a wall.

Now here he is, dragging his feet in hopes of surviving. Though where could he go? If he went back to his apartment, someone would see him. His grandpa would practically get a heart attack by seeing him. Hospitals are too risky as it is. While his life is at stake, so is his identity and everything else.

He knew a place. Turning at the corner of Dalca street, he walked on. Somehow he still remembered where Voidstalker lived after the last time they fought. Was it a good idea to go though? Well, he had no other options.

Going up to the door, he used his left hand to knock on the door. Adonis's other hand covered the wound that was bleeding out. His lips trembled as they became pale. "Please….." He whispered to himself. "Please….please…."

Tessa was sitting in her room reading, unknowing. She hadn't expected any visitors, so she was in her comfy clothes: a ratty, oversized t-shirt and sweatpants. She'd been staying home the past couple days, trying to figure out where to hit next: the labs at New York, or in Kansas City?

So, when the planning got to be too much, she stopped and read. Which is how she ended up bolting up when someone knocked on the door, dropping the book and summoning a knife of shadows.

She cautiously went to the door, knife stashed in the waistband of her pants, and opened it. She stood there for a second, shocked. No… he can't be here. He shouldn't be here. she thought as she stared at the pale face of Aetorno, her archnemesis.

But something was wrong. He was holding his side, tightly. He had a weird look in his eyes… he'd been drugged. Who… who did this? Fighting him the way I do is one thing, but this… this is just cowardice. She realized that he was swaying on his feet, about to collapse, and she quickly grabs him before he can fall.

"C'mon. Let's get you inside." she says, looking down the streets to check if anybody saw her or Aetorno. It didn't seem like it.

She pulled the door closed and locked it. Then she brought Aetorno to the spare room, and put him on the bed. She closed all the blinds then, including in her own room. She fetched her shadow needle and thread, some cloths and a bowl of warm water. She started by washing the blood off of him, which she hadn't seen in the dark at first.

After she was done with that, she pulled off most of his hero suit. Besides the mask, to protect his identity. She threw the rest into a hamper to wash.

"What happened to you? Who did this?" she asked, horrified by the numerous scrapes and bruises on him. And the scars…

She realizes something.

"No, actually. I shouldn't ask that. I have no right to know." she says, turning away.

"Will you let me see your side? I'll need to disinfect it before anything." she asks, waiting for a response before doing anything else.

@knightinadream group

There is no other place he can go. The little moments before someone opened the door felt like an eternity. Using his left hand, he held it against the side of the entrance in order to hold himself up. Hearing the door creak open had never been so relieving to him before.

Voidstalker. He stared back at her before opening his lips. It was difficult trying to say anything due to the pain he was feeling. All he managed to mutter was, "…didn't know where else to go…" Not a moment after, he tried saying "please", but was stuttering so much that he gave up. He took deep breaths but every single one left him groaning in pain.

His knees were weak and his balance was barely there. Before he almost fell to the ground, he felt himself bring caught by her. Adonis nodded to her words then looked over his shoulder. He didn't know if it followed him or where the hell it was, but he hoped that it was gone for now.

Just as before, everything passed by so quickly. He was laid down on the bed. His hero suit was taken off. The building up of sweat under his mask was bothersome, plus it made him feel bleak. Adonis did not care, his mind was too preoccupied to be worrying about the future; there is a chance he could not even make it anyhow. Somehow he managed to take it off and throw it on the floor. The mask was now covered in his own blood. A sight he did not want to see.

Sadly, Voidstalker's questions flew over his head. It wasn't that he didn't pay attention, he couldn't. Nevertheless, he shook his head feverishly. His eyes were wide with worry and fear. He was not able to speak.

Glancing down at his side, he gulped. Slowly, Adonis removed his hand to reveal the wound. His hand was completely covered in his blood. There was so much that his hand was dark red. His eyes flickered up to her, while he wasn't sure what was going on, he gave her a nod.

Tess gasps when she sees the wound, and Aetorno's face, then immediately goes quiet, her hand flying to cover her mouth. Slowly, she took her shaking hand away from her mouth again.

"Oh my god…" she whispers, stunned that somebody could do this to him. That he'd reveal his own face to her.

She slowly calms down, while saying, "I'll use some rubbing alcohol to disinfect it." She hands him a cloth.

"Bite down on that, if you need to. This is going to be unpleasant." And after that, she says no more, grabbing another cloth and pouring some of the disinfectant on it. She suddenly starts wiping at the wound, gently, to avoid causing any more pain or discomfort. As she cleans the wound, she can tell that it's deep, maybe an inch and a half in depth, half that in width. A serrated blade. Slowly, she finishes cleaning the wound. Then she starts stitching his skin back together. As she does so, her mind can't help but wander. She thinks about her strong reaction to his being harmed this way, and gets unsettled.

She focuses on the task again, finding that her hand had completed more than half of the stitches while her mind was away. Quickly, she finished up the sutures, then wraps bandages around his entire abdomen, using water resistant medical tape to keep the bandages on.

"There. Now, are you hungry?" she says, then decides that yes, he probably is. She dissapears into the kitchen, where the sounds and smells of soup being made start to appear.

Regret filled Adonis the moment he heard Voidstalker gasp. Perhaps dealing with the uncomfortably mask would have been better for the both of them. It made him feel so cold. How will he and Voidstalker go on with this? She is his archenemy and he is hers. But where else could he have gone? He has nowhere else to go; it's a miracle is number one enemy is doing this.

Seeing the rag, his hand shaking reached out to grab it. He put it between his upper and lower teeth immediately after. Adonis tried to nod in response but was met with more pain a mere moment after. His body tensed up as he bit down on the rag. In the back of his head, he tried to tell himself to relax.

Despite being in Voidstalker's home, he still worried about breaking something or hurting her. It wasn't his intention to, but the concerns made him wonder what he was thinking. Was it the drug that's affecting him? Is it blood loss? Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.

A tear of sweat rolled down the side of his face. The feeling of Voidstalker stitching his wound up was something he never expected to experience. Some of the pain was dissipating, but he felt lightheaded now.

Quietly, he whispered a thank you. Out of instinct, he placed his hand back on top of it. His breathing slowed down. Adonis tried to nod in response, but he suddenly became tired. His eye lids became heavy. The moment she walked away, he passed out.

When she came back with the soup, about a half hour later, she smiled despite herself; he was asleep. She put the still steaming bowl on the nightstand by the bed, then sat down again after heading to her room to grab some better clothes, putting them on and grabbing her book.

She began reading again, occasionally checking his bandages and temperature. Other than that, she lets him be. She's very uncertain what to do with Aetorno. There's just so many emotions tied up with this hero that it was just simpler to not think about him. So, she did just that, still occasionally checking up on him.

Eventually it became impossible to focus on the book, so she instead focused on Aetorno. She'd never noticed before, but he was actually surprisingly handsome. She realized with a start that his hair looked different now. Then she chuckled. Of course. I should have known: his appearance changes as a hero, compared to being his normal self.

She continues staring, tracing his figure with her eyes, knowing she won't have such a chance to see him like this again. She looks away, the looks back at him, an idea hitting her, surprise sweeping her away with the force of a tidal wave.

Not unless… no, she couldn't think about that. It wasn't possible, and even if it was, she didn't think it would work. But the thought lingered. No matter what she did, she couldn't rid herself of the thought. She decides to go shower, thinking he'd be asleep for a while longer, writing him a note saying Here you go! and placing it on the bowl of soup, covering it so that the heat doesn't disperse too quickly.

When she gets out of the shower, a towel wrapped around her, she expects Aetorno to be asleep still, so she goes into the room to grab her book, then goes to leave. On the way out, she notices a bit of movement, but it stops quickly, so she leaves and gets dressed again.

@knightinadream group

Adonis was not sure how long he was out. He wasn't even dreaming or anything. All he was seeing while sleeping was the black mist. Memories of what happened flashed in his mind. The moment where he was stabbed, drugged, beaten senselessly all replayed incessantly. Over and over again.

In the bed, he tossed and turned, groaning anytime his right side made contact with the bed. The visions got worse up until his eyes opened and he sprung up. A few desperate gasps of air later, he winced as he laid his hand on top of the bandage. He started to get a feel for everything around him. His skin. The blankets. The cool air. Eventually he started to calm down.

With his peripherals, he noticed his reflection in the mirror. His hair. It's now the regular brown shade it always is. And his eyes are dark brown again. Voidstalker is going to see this. Maybe she already did. What is going to happen next? Adonis almost reached down for the mask, but he already took it off and she probably saw him like this already.

The next couple of mintues passed by where he just thought through everything that happened after the mist. He did his best to process everything in the hopes of not freaking out again for anyone's sake, including Voidstalker. Oh lord, it was strange to be thinking in a way of considering one's enemy. But why is she being so kind to him? Why is she doing this?

Adonis turned in the direction of the bowl. Picking up the piece of paper, he read it over ten times before setting it down. While it still felt warm, he stretched his hand out then heated the bowl up with the little flame that he made. His eyes lit up blue till he made the flame go away. Carefully, he took the bowl of soup and drink it.

Tessa startles awake, alerted by the noise Aetorno was making. She didn't even remember falling asleep. The last thing she remembers was… oh. Yeah. The thoughts that she'd had the night before rushed back, and she groaned, unable to keep herself from doing so.

Slowly, she got up and went to check on Aetorno. She was glad to see him up, but also saddened, but then she saw something: he was bleeding again. Quickly, the shadows reached out and set him gently back down in the bed.

"You shouldn't get up for at least a couple of days," Tessa says through the shadows, stepping into the room. "The knife wound was deep. I'm not sure how much damage was done. I understand that you came to me because you didn't want to go to the hospital. But I can't tell you if there's any internal bleeding, or stuff like that." She says that last part with her own soft, musical and dark voice.

"I don't think it's wise to know more than each other's faces. Knowing your name, your real one, would only bring you trouble. And vice versa. But, I appreciate you trusting me with your life, despite our, ah, rocky relationship." Tessa smiles shyly, to let him know that last comment was genuine.

"I know you're wondering why I'd help you, since I fight you so much. But that will have to wait until after you've finished your soup and drank some water." She can see what he thinks as clear as day, but is hesitant to say much. He is, or was, after all, her archnemesis.

She goes to the kitchen to grab a couple of glasses and one of the gallons of purified water she has. She brings them into the room, then goes and gets herself some food, pillows and blankets.

@knightinadream group

Shadows. Sure he was familiar with seeing them, but after last night, it was different now. Any efforts he had to speak were gone. His panting returned while his eyes widened. The middle of his chest felt strained and tight as if there was a weight pushing down on him. He shook his head furiously before shutting his eyes tight.

But before he could open his eyes, he felt the soft pillow touching the back of his head. Voidstalker's voice rang in his ears. Adonis could not explain what happened next, how a wave of relief overcame him. A deep sigh left his still trembling lips.

He opened his eyes, looking over at her. She is smiling. Also in a way he never would have expected to see. The corners of his lips curved up into a faint smile as he lightly nodded back. "I don't know….how to thank you for saving me….." He managed to say. The words felt strange to him, but they were true. "I don't know a hero should…but I am thankful."

Adonis decided to not say anymore. It was still painful to even utter a word, so he kept on staring at her and nodding. When she left the room, he finished the rest of the soup then relaxed back into the bed.

The drug was wearing off. It must have started to after he passed out. Still, he felt the same sadly, drugged or not. All thanks to the stab wound and all the other injuries he's sustained. He wondered how long he will be out for hero wise; he really hoped he could get back in as soon as possible. Although Voidstalker told him that he really needs to rest for a few days.

When she returned, he glimpsed over before glancing up at the ceiling. So many thoughts swirled around in his mind, and it was hard trying to pick out one from the other. Naturally, he had the urge to help her with carrying the things in, but remembered he had to stay in bed. Adonis frowned at himself for a second.

Tessa shushes Aetorno, smiling.

"There's no need to thank me, Aetorno. I…" she sighs. "Nevermind."

She's quiet for a moment.

"In order to understand why I'm a 'villain', you first need to understand something: my family was poor, and they gave me up to the government for money," she says suddenly, getting up and pouring a glass of water for Aetorno and helping him drink all of it. "They were shot in front of me. The government lied. They weren't paying people for information. They were getting people to come in with children, then killing the people that brought their kids. I was one of these children. I hated it there. It was never anything but testing, testing, testing, constantly. Never any breaks. I was glad to be able to escape. As I got older, and better with my powers, I came up with a plan. To keep others like me from sitting around for 2 years, waiting for the scientists to get bored."

She lets out a strangled breath and sits down. "I'm sorry. You don't…" she sighs.

"But long story short, I'm helping you because I know it's right. I fight you so constantly because you try to stop me from destroying those horrible places, from destroying the monsters that did this to kids. I fight because the goverment doesn't." she sighs.

"I'm sorry for dumping all of that on you. You didn't need that, after what happened to you." she gets up to go leave. Pauses at the door. Then shakes her head, sighs, and leaves.

@knightinadream group

Whispering a soft thanks, he drank the wager that was given. As she spoke, he stared into her eyes, slowly nodding. Carefully, his mind picked each word apart then put them back together.

He did not expect so much to come from her. Adonis did not know what he thought he would hear from Voidstalker. It is surprising she is telling him all of this. She is practically reading his mind, or maybe his facial expressions, then speaking. The words "government" and "testing" rang a bell, but he wasn't sure why.

What makes a hero, a hero? What makes a villain, a villain? If everyone has their own perspective, then there isn't a set definition for the two. Besides, one's hero is another's villain and vice versa. He knew it from classes he took and from being a hero, but he had only ever focused on his perspective.

When Voidstalker left the room, he paused for a second. His head was thumping. Pain stabbed him in his wound. His heart felt sore. Adonis forced himself to get out of the bed. Putting his hand over the bandage, he dragged himself out of the room.

"Do you really think of yourself as a villain? Or do you just call yourself that because that's what I and everyone else say?"

Deleted user

Tessa pauses at that, then turns back to Aetorno.

"It's my brand. It doesn't matter if I think of myself as one. That's what I am. Now, you need to be in bed." she says.

She starts to turn away, then pauses. She sighs, and turns back to Aetorno, fashioning a movable bed out of shadows, making it comfortable enough to stay in but small enough to be able to be moved easily. As she does this, she debates an idea she just got.

"By the way, my name is Tessa." she says, before she can change her mind. She sends the bed back to the guest room, with Aetorno in it, adding some electronic features to it and making a remote to control it.

@knightinadream group

And just like before, he was on the makeshift bed again. Adonis did not really care though, he was more focused on Voidstalker and their conversation. "Yes it does," He muttered. "If you think you are something, you are likely to become it. Superheroes and villains alike influence their minds more than think they do; and it has to do with outer influences too."

His lower lip came out with an emphasis. Then his brows furrowed together just a bit as he pouted. He decided to not fight it, only worried that he would make his bleeding worse. The pain he was having still made little things like standing and breathing hard to do. Now his hand was hurting from squeezing so much.

"Huh?" Adonis thought that they had agreed to not give each other their real names. Tessa. Voidstalker. Tessa….. He wondered what he should call her now. The name is beautiful, it's very fitting. On the other hand, he was still pouting, especially since she sent him away.

When back in the guest room, he decided to switch back to the regular bed. His stance on anything shadow or mist related scares him. Pulling up the covers, he let out a sigh as his eyes wandered over to the door. "Tessa….Voidstalker?….Tessa?" He softly called out. "Will you please stay here with me?"
