@A5_ WICKED
Erza leans on the back of Dara's chair, "What's that?"
Erza leans on the back of Dara's chair, "What's that?"
"Someone else talk," Dara said, "I'm tired of explaining things and i want to keep researching."
Erza puffs her cheeks, "Fine. Be that way." She turns toward the others, shrugs and walks toward her computer
Dara didn't know what she did wrong. People got annoyed with her often. She was never quite sure why. Anyway, she turned back towards her work, trying to discern what the energy surges could mean.
((SOMEBODY NOTICE ME PLEASE!))
((SOMEBODY NOTICE ME PLEASE!))

Artemis leaned over to Libra's desk. "Have you eaten today?" She asked.
(oof, guys I probably gtg right now, so see you later)
Erza's desk was in the farthest corner of the room and she sat there silently. Her eyes flick from one side as data runs across the screen
((Yay! Thank you ^^)
Libra looked up from her paperwork at Artemis. "No, I've been too busy to take a break. Why," she replied.
Artemis brought her purse out from under her chair, digging through it to find a snack. "You should have at least something," she said. Her hands found a granola bar, and she tossed it onto Libra's desk. "It keeps you focused."
Erza leans forward, plugging in her head phones and blasting music
Emil turned to his laptop, quickly typing in a few words. He found the file he was looking for, quickly it opening up to reveal a sheet with the times of the previous pulses. He picked it up and swiveled back around to show the sheet to everyone. "See this? It was taken… maybe two weeks ago?"
Erza wasnt paying attention to anyone any more in her secluded corner
"Two weeks, huh?" Dara repeated, leaning over to gaze at Emil's sheet. "I wonder what that means."
"Oh, uh, thank you." She took the granola bar and opened it, taking a bite of it. After she swallowed, she asked, "What are you thinking about the whole power surge thing?"
(sorry for disappearing, somebody just got a new motorcycle and I wanted to check it out lmao)
"I don't think it really means anything," Artemis admitted, zipping her purse shut and setting it back down. She tapped her nails on her desk idly. "What about you?"
(Gtg night!)
(Gtg night!)
(aw, goodnight!)
(Good night!)
Emil sighed as he put down the laptop. "I have no idea. And that really irritates me," he said, puffing his cheeks out slightly. He hated when something seemed to be so closely connected, but turning out just to be a correlation rather than a causation . "I was looking through everything I could find, but there was no cause for this. But something must have had caused it." He sighed lightly, his warm breath brushing his lips. "I just can't figure out what it was."
"I'm with you." She paused, taking another bite of the granola bar. "I think everyone is just getting excited over nothing. I have to admit, working here does kinda get boring after a while.." She whispered the last part, afraid of what might happen if all the others heard her.
"I don't know about you," Dara said, a slow smile creeping along her face, "but I get too happy when I find sh*t I genuinely don't understand. It's so rare. But so exciting." She popped her knuckles, turning back to her laptop and her notes. "Let's get to work. We are scientists, aren't we?"
"Tell me about it," Artemis said, laughing. She leaned back in her chair. "I feel like the only interesting thing here is that I get to spin around in my swivel chair whenever I feel like it." After saying that, she spun around as if to prove a point.
Emil pouted a bit as he turned back to his original project which was observing a black hole that was pretty close to the solar system. Pretty close as in 27,000 light years away, but that was still decently nearby in terms of the galaxy. It was interesting, and also a way to further the proof of the existence of Einstein-Rosen bridges. But a part of his mind still wandered on the electromagnetic pulses. There must have been a cause. But what was it?
(gooooood morning!)
(Hi! Good morning!)
Erza looks around at the others but doesnt interact. She always felt awkward around them.
Petrichor made his way quietly into the room, shedding his rain jacket and quickly covering the distance between him and everyone else. "Did you guys see the EMPs? Of course you did… What do we have so far?"
Erza moves one ear piece around her ear to hear properly, "Is something new?"
