"Do we even have a plan where someone doesn't die?" Rani said.

Ima dropped out of her meditation. She was gasping for air, "Not possible. Someone has to die."

V nods, "Yeah…" He mutters. "But that won't be decided until later, Ima…" He knew he could be a high possibility. He was only a creation. He wasn't born, had a childhood. Any of that. He was computer based.

"I'll do it then. I don't really have much to do with my life." She said, obviously forgetting that she was the sole heir to an entire nation and that nobody else could take her place.

"Rani. You are the heir to kingdom. Your people need you." V says softly. "But as I said, let us not focus on that. We need to focus on living."

Harper roars to herself as she misses the bot for the tenth time

"I know," Ima steadied her breathing, "I just went through 1 billion possible futures and in all of them at least one person ended up gone."

"So?" Rani asked.

"That person will be decided when the time comes." V snaps. His breathing was quick. He softens, "Apologies, Ima… I just… No one should have to face that fate." his silver eyes glance around the room.

"Well, let's make a general plan that helps us live."

Harper carves out another chunk of wall, "What is up with these?!" She glares down at the lazers

"I know," Ima got quiet. She wasn't going to mention how many heart wrenching screams she heard. No she would save them all from that knowledge.

“Hey, Ima, you’ll be fine,” Meg said softly. “Do you want to take a break with me? Just for a few minutes.”

"That would be nice," Ima told Meg.

"That would be I manage to get a hold of some… long distance allies… possibly make it…" He starts doing other calculations.

“Okay. Just out… there?” Meg pointed to the door. “Obviously not on deck. We’ll be back in a few,” she told the others.

Harper had given up and was anrilly slicing the walls of the practice room. Everyone hated her just because she was Toby Stark's daughter. She thought over and over as she goes
