Ekon walked through the crowds of people on the docks, a large wooden crate in his hands. He easily looked over almost everyone's head as he was jostled by the crowds "S'cuse me people," He said, forcing his way towards a ship that was being loaded with box after box of supplies.
Putting one hand in front of the other, Kera quickly passed over the gap. She glanced down where her feet were hanging high above the ground. No one seemed to have noticed her yet. She quickened her pace and reached out to grab the ledge with one hand. She heaved herself up, panting lightly as she stooped to collect the hook. With a flick, it came undone and reeled itself in. Kera smirked and glanced inside the building. There was movement and she pressed herself against the wall, glancing up. She still had a long way to go.
Crys followed in bird form. She was a small common bird so it wouldn't be weird to spot her flying.
Akantika took a sharp turn towards the docks. She hated water, absolutely despised it, but something about the salty air and crashing waves calmed her. It was strange, but a lot of things in this world were strange.
Avantika stood on her tip toes for a moment, trying to catch even a glimpse of the water. But the tall man with wings in front of her blocked her view, and she let out a quiet sigh. “Hey hotshot, could you move?” Avantika said loudly.
Ekon heard a voice behind him and he stopped, turning around to look at who was talking "Sorry Ma'm," he said politely, moving out of her way and nodding slightly before continuing for the ship. He pulled his wings tighter against himself and shifted the box in his arms.
Rose smiled slightly from her perch in the old tree, singing to herself as he wings fluttered slightly. ((Idk what to do tbh))
Avantika nodded her thanks at him and headed for the public access docks, maneuvering out of the way of several people, somehow keeping in step with the angel. He sure looked like an angel, with his big wings and gorgeous looks.
Avantika shook the thoughts away as soon as they came. As much as she’d like to flirt, she had some relaxing to do.
(You can join up with the other characters right now or start your own chain in a different location if you want.)
Kera took two metal objects from her belt and they sprung open into climbing hooks designed specifically for these highrise city buildings. She jumped, one hook digging into the rough stone surface while her specially made boots found holds where there should have been none. The other hook flashed out and found its mark. Kera began to pick up speed as she scaled the warehouse, occasionally using her shadow magic to teleport upwards.
Rowan walked down the streets, shielding his fae eyes with his hood and casting dangerous glances at anyone who tried to look. Concealing his daggers in his sleeves, he walked into the assigned building
Elon looked down by his side and saw the woman from before. "Do you need something?" He asked, looking at the crate in his arms before focusing on her again. He sighed as someone bumped into him again and muttered an apology before running off "Too many people.." He muttered under his breath.
“No, I’m just going the same place you are,” Avantika said, glancing up at him. Tall. Someone ran into her roughly and she stumbled, her hood almost falling off. Quickly she redid it, making sure it was tightened. Can’t cause a panic here.
"sorry," he apologized and kept walking farther into the building
By the time she reached the top levels, her arms and legs were burning. She dragged herself onto another window ledge and looked inside. No one was there. Glancing back at the ground a fair distance below, Kera crouched and slid a flat piece of metal under the window opening so the lock clicked open. She reactivated her com device.
"I've reached the access point."
'Good. Alarms are disabled. And Kera…'
"What?"
'Follow the plan.'
She rolled her eyes and edged the window open, slipping inside.
Crys flew into the building she followed the girl to she quickly perched herself above a window.
"The ship?" Ekon asked glaring at the person who ran into her, "In that case Miss, sick close to me, there are quite a few pickpockets around." He continued walking to the ship and glanced down at her every once in a while.
Avantika laughed softly. “You don’t have to call me Miss, right?” she said, eyes dancing. “And I don’t worry about pickpockets; I have nothing to steal.” Avantika added, voice light.
"Is M'lady better?" He asked, trying and failing to hide a small smirk. "The pickpockets here will take anything you have, no matter how small or insignificant it is." He reached the ship and nodded to her quickly, walking up the plank to the ship and setting the box down before coming back down to her.
Kera made her way to the back of the giant room, ignoring the clutter. She threw another window open and unraveled a rope which she let fall all the way down to the bottom where shadowy figures had slipped past the guards. They began climbing and Kera's mouth twitched as excitement spiked through her body. She looked down the long staircase and began making her way down, distorting her form to blend into her surroundings.
“How about my name?” Avantika said with a grin. She liked talking to the angel; their small banter was somehow relaxing. She hadn’t had a conversation like this in a long time.
Ekon smiled and shrugged "That would work too, except I don't know what your name is," He raised an eyebrow and nodded slightly. "I'm Ekon," Another person ran into him and he sighed, shaking his head slightly before stepping out of the way of another worker, standing closer to the woman to try to stop people from running into her.
Avantika noticed Ekon shifted closer to her, but decided not to comment on it. “And I’m Avantika.” she said, returning the smile. What interesting names we both have. Ekon wasn’t a common name, since she hadn’t heard it anywhere before. Quite like hers. She had no idea what was running through her mother’s mind when she chose her name.
"That's a beautiful name," He replied, making his way to the pile of boxes at the start of the dock. He grabbed one quickly and smiled at Avantika, "Though it is quite a long name." His wings fluttered slightly on his back and he rolled his neck, itching to fly.
(I'm gonna have to drop out of this. I'm just way to far behind.)
“Thank you. And yes it is, I guess my mother liked exotic things.” Including my father. Avantika plopped on a crate, swinging her legs back and forth. Her eyes caught his wings fluttering, and she couldn’t resist asking about them. “Can you fly with those things?” she said, pointing at the wings.
Rowan looked around the building, making his way to the roof. Finding it completely abandoned, he sighed and started to walk along, wondering if anyone was up there
(That's a shame. You sure though? It is still only the start)
(Well I'm on vacation, so I won't be in for a while and you'll just keep going ahead so I'll be more behind.)
He chuckled slightly "Yes I can fly, it's really fun." He stepped out of the way of the crowds before opening his wings fully and stretching them out. He folded them back in quickly and smiled at the ground "Working for so long on the ground is tiring and every so often I just need to fly, right now for example."
(I see, well thanks for the initial interest!)
