Aaron's gaze flicked over to Faraneer, starting to relax as he realized how easily rattled the hydra was now. "I can agree we aren't really a group yet," He stated, for once being straight with the fact he agreed with someone. While the others were talking his pupils became slits for a moment as he spoke in a more threatening and warning tone towards the hydra, "Though you better cooperate anyways if you want to leave without getting more injuries. You caused quite the problem earlier." He flashed a smile, though it wasn't friendly, before blinking to show normal pupils as he looked away like nothing happened hopefully before the others could notice. Though in reality he was keeping himself from grinning, glad he might be able to mess with someone rather than have everyone teasing him.
Then suddenly he was surprised by Nykidia. He hadn't expected her to poke him, but the surprise was more from her saying he might be a leader. Even if it said jokingly no one really said things like that about him. It made him stop for a moment, not knowing what to think, before simply following Nykidia. He nearly forgot about the fae until he spoke up, looking back at him. "Nykidia." He called, "Do you want this person to be brought to the back with us? He seems lost." He spoke bluntly, not really caring if the fae was distracted to lost or teleported. He just wanted to know whether to drag him along or leave him to be kicked out by Flyn.
Nykidia smiled mischievously. "Sure. Why not? A new face is always good." She said turning away from Aaron. Nykidia was tired and she could sense that Night needed to rest. It strained her to much if she was outside a body. "Aaron?" She asked looking at him once she got into the back room.
"Alright," He said, looking to the fae as he spoke to him what applied to the rest of the group, "Then follow us. There's a fireplace in the back room." Though he didn't move right away at his own words, pausing so his gaze could scan the area one more time before heading to the back room. He didn't think much of it, the action was just a habit of looking out for potential trouble.
So without another word he motioned for the others to follow as he moved, stopping just inside the back room as Nykidia looked at him. She seemed tired, and Aaron went silent for a moment as he tried to think of what she'd ask. "…Yeah?" He replied finally. It was a short answer, but nonetheless acknowledged he was listening.
Nykidia rubbed her eyes slightly. "Could you watch the others for a moment? I need to go fuse with Night." She said looking at the others. She never fused in front of new people unless she had to. She had to with Aaron the first time she met him sense her and Night happened to be apart.
Aaron hesitated, not really sure why she trusted him when she could asked Nysaxiope. The siren would probably have better luck keeping everyone under control. "Uh, sure…" He agreed, thinking of how it was only a moment. If the others were tired like her maybe they wouldn't cause trouble, and he felt more awake despite it being late. He sat down in hopes everyone would come so he didn't have to get them before Flyn kicked anyone out, and though he didn't complain about the cold the warmth coming from the fireplace was nice.
Nykidia sighed. "Thank you." She said. She began to walk up the stairs. Once she got upstairs she leaned against the hall wall and slid down it slowly until she hit the floor. She sighed as Night floated down next to her. "You alright?" She asked Nykidia. Nykidia smiled at her. "Yeah. I'm fine." She told Night. "Go ahead. I know you need a rest. I'll just have you be the one in control most of the time, got it?" Nykidia explained. Night nodded her head. Nykidia took a deep breath in, allowing Night to enter her body.
~Let me at that little bastard! I'll wipe that smug-ass smile off his face~.
Faraneer's form seemingly shook now and then. A combination of cold and nerves. His voice was quieter as he spoke softly more to himself, "P-please Kirdairn…w-w-we are in no condition to fight…"
His voice became a bit louder as he responded to the naga's question, "I've been called Faraneer…m-my brothers are Mylnorr and Kirdairn…"
The male's eyes shifted back to the girl, Nykidia, as she seemed to want them all to follow. Faraneer shifted his weight, still very clearly nervous. He would've much preferred to bolt and slink into a nice hot cave, but that was back in their old swamp homes. Faraneer had never really been aggressive or a fighter. He was simply content to watch the world, observe, and maybe speak when something interested him. Though Kirdairn's rather aggressive nature was a bit off-putting, causing Faraneer to feel a bit bullied at times.
However, when it came down to it, he could prove to be just as ferocious when provoked. Despite a timid nature, if his brothers, himself, or someone they actually care about were threatened in any way, Faraneer could be just as aggressive. However, his 'fuse' was extremely long to burn down before he snapped.
The male took a cautious step forward. In their mind, there was a loud snarl ~Just what the hell do you think you are doing? This could very well be a trap~.
This did indeed cause Faraneer to pause. His brother did make a fair point, and from the aggressive words and stance of the other, Aaron, Faraneer was inclined to heed Kirdairn's words.
Lunos cocked an eyebrow in confusion and checked his watch, he had enough time, he could waste some time here. I just need to stay the fuck away from the fireplace. I hate fire. He muttered in his mind as he shrugged and followed the people to wherever they were taking him. I suppose my entire aesthetic is going to be ruined as soon as I step foot near that fire, I'll get to damn hot.
At seeing the hesitancy of Faraneer, Eurn doubled back, letting the others pass by him. He gave the man a wide berth as he tried to reassure him "Ttthhhere's notthhing dangerous back tthhere, I can assssure you, I've been back tthhere quithe a few thimes and ith's acthuallly quithe open in tthhere if I remember correctthllly…" He rubbed one of his bracelets awkwardly as he tried to think of a way to help his nervousness, he noticed Aaron's threat as he wasn't as discreet as he might think he was. He finally settled on an idea after a moment "If you feelll weird abouth going back there, I could go in firsth and thellll you if ith's safe or noth? I have no idea why any of tthhe otthher people don'th lllike you, so I'm tthhe besth tthhird parthy you have ath tthhe momenth." he backed up a little further, waiting to hear his answer.
Nysaxiope looked to the hydra. "So this is Faraneer? Great, you seem nicer than Kidairn." She paused before continuing, "Kidairn, there's no need to be so angry all the time. It's not a trap, relax and leave your poor brother alone, why are you always yelling at him?" She clicked her tongue. She raised an eyebrow in question at Eurn. "Yes, I am Nysaxiope, the owner of Nys Fish, how is it you know me?"
Nykidia and Night walked down stairs. "Thanks Aaron," Night said walking up to him. "Nykidia is tired so I'll be in control most of the time, kay?" Night explained. "Wonder what the others are up to."
Eurn turned to Nysaxiope and smiled "Nyssassiope? nissse name, I wanthed tho go tho your resstheranth buth sssinsse I know many gangs roam tthhath area and a figth tthhath happened outhside…" He looked like something just registered as he whipped around to Faraneer "Hey! Did you know tthhath your brotthher goth in a fith outhsside of her ssthore? Allssso, why did sshhe callll you both Faraneer and Kidairn?" A very confused look was beginning to form on his face, as the peices were not making sense together. (He forgot to smell your scent, so he has NO clue about his actual type Dragon)
Aaron tilted his head slightly as Night explained, nodding his head. So long as they were on good terms he was fine with letting Nykidia rest. He looked to the fae, the only one to follow so far, as Night questioned about the others. "About to get kicked out if they don't come is what they're up to, give me a second." He went over to the door, leaning out of the room to see the others talking. Is it really that hard to walk for five seconds rather then talk? He thought, a bit annoyed. "Hey, can you guys hurry up before I have to come over there? It's not that hard to walk to a room." He called, and though he was annoyed they didn't listen he didn't really care at the same time. So his voice was calm, even as he looked to the hydra, "I'm not above just tying you up and dragging you over here."
Nysaxiope turned to Aaron then gave him a flat look. "I would find it rather hard to walk to a room seeing as, you know, I don't have legs, but fine." She went to float into the backroom.
"yeah, I'd rather not do that!" Eurn called back as he turned around to point his tail to the back room, after which he just slowly shifted his torso backwards as he looked at Nysaxiope and Faraneer, waiting for replies. (think of him folding his tail under him as he goes backward, still staring at them in a friendly way, or just picture something weird that is actually kind of off-putting yet natural)
Night sighed and then chuckled as she walked past Aaron. "Your just as bad at social interaction as I am." She said smirking. "Nykidia,we need to get them in the room." "That's fine." Nykidia said switching Night for hopefully not too long. "Look. You guys should come on back. Erun and Faraneer it's a choice for you to come back. You don't want to if you don't have to but it would be good if you did." Nykidia explained.
Aaron blinked, looking at Night as she passed him and seemed to hand control to Nykidia. "Well Nysaxiope came and no one's starting a fight." He replied bluntly, choosing to ignore Nysaxiope's comment on how she didn't walk. He wasn't too keen on being in a more closed off room if the hydra was coming, but at least it didn't seem like he would be causing trouble this time. "If you guys are going to come you should come now. If you're going to leave, leave before he makes you." He tilted his head towards Flyn as he talked to the small group, speaking to Nykidia next, "I'm going to keep an eye on the others while you wait for them to decide." At that he reentered the backroom, his gaze drifting over each person that had come in the room so far before sitting in the chair. It didn't get as much heat from the fireplace as a spot on the couch would, but he liked how the chair kept the others from getting too close. He liked his space, and from his spot he could keep an eye on everyone.
~Fishy should be in a can of sardines~ a snarl came from Kirdairn. He was clearly annoyed, though ended up coughing in their mind as he continued to snarl under his breath in an agitated manner.
As he was addressed Faraneer gave an abrupt nod, seemingly startled hearing the siren suddenly say his name, "Y-Y-YES! …oh…y-yea, I've been called Faraneer."
He turned his head, once again hearing the threat from Aaron about being 'tied up'. The male tilted his head, curious on how he could achieve that…seeing as Faraneer could simply wake Mylnorr if trouble started to rise. Though he would allow his brother to rest, knowing he was their leader and it was indeed actually his turn to keep watch. Least that was the way when back in the swamps, one head would keep watch while the others slept.
It truly must be hard for someone who never had the job of making big decisions, finally find himself in that position. Faraneer would maybe speak out about some ideas, but Mylnorr was the one who was in charge and made the final step for the hydra. Though once again they were being ushered backwards.
Faraneer's eyes flickered towards Eurn who seemed to honestly want to help. Plus, he so far was the one to gain his trust so to speak. He hadn't tried to harm them in anyway, nor showed any hostility.
"W-why don't you g-g-go first…I'll f-follow if that's ok…"
Eurn nodded and turned fully, finally traveling inside of the backroom. He gave Aaron a toothy smile and Nykidia a wave. He surveyed the area, honestly looking for any danger, though more like broken glass, tripping hazards, anything of that nature, for himself more than anyone else. When he found none he poked through the door, gave Faraneer a thumbs up, and waved for him to come inside. After that he b-lined for the fireplace and stretched out in front of it, anticipating having to go outside soon-ish.
Nykidia laughed when Erun shot into the room. She looked over at Faraneer. "Your the shy one right?" she said, turning to him. "You good?" She asked him as she put her hands in her pockets.
Lunos had a questioning look on his face but, walked in, well not walking, he kinda glided. He had ice on his feet that didn't give him enough friction to actually walk. He made his way to where the heat of the fire was nowhere near and leaned against the wall, no doubt leaving ice coating the walls when he stood up.
Aaron watched as the two came in, glancing towards the door as he noted Nykidia and the hydra hadn't come yet. He didn't worry though, fairly sure Nykidia and Night could deal with the skittish Faraneer. With no one causing trouble it was odd to him how calm everything was, he was used to never being able to drop his guard. He leaned back in the chair and looked to the flames in the fireplace, trying to relax and enjoy the peace.
He glanced at the others as he felt a familiar presence, he didn't want to draw attention, though it didn't keep him from being bitter. "Have fun leaving for days without telling me anything?" He muttered quietly. Corru appeared on the armrest sitting with his legs crossed, not showing himself to anyone else as he gave an uncaring glare towards Aaron. "Shut it, Rei. I'm here now aren't I? Do you really need someone 24/7?" The ginger snapped. Aaron went quiet as he waited for the others to come, he hated when Corru used that name, and he didn't need the others thinking he was crazy if he started arguing with someone they didn't see.
Nykidia sighed. She figured the Faraneer needed sometime. "Faraneer is you want to come one back. We have food and drinks." She said patting him and walking to the back room. She walked up to Aaron. "Talking to yourself?" She asked as she slid down the wall next to him.
Startled Aaron looked to the red head as she sat against the wall, guessing he wasn't that good at whispering when he was used to not caring who heard him muttering to himself. "Uh, No..? Yes! No- I was-" He was unsure how to respond as he kept switching his answer. He could hear his ghostly friend growling as he muttered something about not getting attached, clearly not happy at finding the current situation. Corru was looking at Nykidia, glancing to Aaron with disapproval of his nervous behavior. "Stick with an answer already. It doesn't matter if she knows I'm here." He scolded. Aaron avoided looking Nykidia in the eye, trying to change the topic rather than listen to Corru. "I thought Night was taking control while you rested." He said.
Nykidia looked up at Aaron as her irises turned purple and the whites of her eyes turned black. "I am." Night said. "She just can out to talk to Faraneer." She explained. Night sighed.
Eurn observed the ice spiraling from where the fae leaned and could not resist at least saying hello. He slithered over, immediately feeling colder than he was before, and started waving. "Hellloo, I don'th bellieve we've properlly meth! I'm Eurn, I'm ssorry abouth thripping you a few minuthesss ago. May I assk how you are making ith cold over here? Iss ith jussth a nathurall power tthhath happens, or can you ssthop ith?"
Corru was a bit curious as Night took control and looked up with purple eyes, only to then look at Aaron like he was an idiot when the green eyed kitsune gave a simple 'oh' in response. "Have you acted this dense the entire time I was gone? Because it seems so with those injuries and responses." He chided. This was why he helped with plans, Aaron started acting like a kind fool if he wasn't reminded it didn't matter what he did. That the ends justify the means.
Aaron paused, his thumb subconsciously brushing over the bite marks on his arm, as Corru spoke. He didn't like when he was mocked, plus he couldn't really heal fully without getting tired, but telling Corru that would only get him a lecture on how he shouldn't have gotten hurt in the first place. "Why the sigh? Are you tired?" He asked Night, his gaze drifting to see if the others were getting along as he heard talking. He noted that Faraneer hadn't come. Corru muttered under his breath at being ignored, circling Night as if trying to figure her out before sitting to listen in on conversations. Maybe he could find out something useful before showing himself.
"Slightly." She said chuckling. "I tired but not as tired as Nykidia. Give her an hour of not talking and she'll be fine. We've run on less sleep before." Night said looking at Aaron. "Though you look tired too. How's the bite?" She asked. Night kept feeling something moving around her but couldn't see it. Maybe if she was outside of Nykidia's body or she wasn't in control she could see it but she was in control at the moment.
Eventually, Faraneer did indeed slowly start to approach. The male was constantly looking around, pupils narrowed into thin slits that were nearly lost in the vast, now dark purple of his gaze. A forked tongue was flicking in and out past his lips. Looking around, it seemed everyone else had settled down to some degree.
The hydra seemingly slunk to a corner further away. Though he did choose a place near the fireplace. The male welcomed the warmth of the flames. Yet, despite the relaxing and pleasant warmth, Faraneer remained tense, shifting his feet every now and then.
~This is such a bad idea~ Kirdairn growled ~I blame you Faraneer if we end up being attacked here~.
A frown appeared on Faraneer's face, "P-please Kirdairn…I-I-I would rather avoid it…"
There was a snort ~Yea yea, I know. You always were timid, even when back home~.
(Lex left so pretend that you never did that.)
