Pierre felt like slapping himself in the face. Instead, he spread his hands helplessly. "I feel… this is stupid… but I feel different. After the lightning, I mean. Barely any anger left… I don't know. I'm sorry."

"It's not necessarily a bad thing," the woman commented with a slight shrug.

His frustration surfaced, but he did his best to ignore it. "Never mind."

"Well, come on!" She half laughed. "Being angry all the time makes you miserable. Take this as a sign from God," she suggested.

Delta lifted his head and his feathers stood on end with unsolicites excitement.

Pierre raised his eyebrows, trying to find the words to explain. "Yes, and no. Anger– when there's a reason– and when fighting– it– gah, words. I can't speak."

"I've got all say," she replied with a special breed of sarcasm.

He refrained from rolling his eyes, barely. "You know what I mean. Well, no. Because I can't speak. But– argh."

"Shh. Drink your wine," she stood up, Delta clambered to her shoulder. "Relax a little."

"Okay," he breathed, cast one more nice to meet you guys to the two men, and left with her.

Jane waited until they were a couple blocks away to speak. “You looked uncomfortable. Was something wrong?”

He looked forward, "Nothing, I suppose. Nothing major.." He insisted.

Can somebody request the ability to block certain people from personal forums? Ive got this person im not friends with anymore and she REFUSES to leave me alone -_- )

“Phillip and I are just friends. Always have been, always will be. We’re a different kind of friends,” she assured him, kissing his cheek as they walked.

"Promise?" He asked kind of nervously.

She nodded and squeezed his hand. “I promise.”

His expression of light worry softened into relief. "Okay, Jane."

“Don’t you trust me?” she asked, pretending to be offended.

That made his words flitter a little with nervousness. "I didn't mean to convey it that way—"

He laughed softly. Oh, no human had ever done him so like this, so willingly admiring and submissive.

“Where would you like to go next, my sir?” she asked, waving at another woman as they walked.

"I know this spot in the park, covered in moonflowers, they open up at nightfall and I think.. you would love them," he spoke softly, lifting a hand to fix his hat.
