"Is it true?" Blaine wondered in a murmur, her gaze becoming far away as she looked over the water. "Or just fiction? A bedtime story…"
Andion shrugged, “Who knows. Those who claim it to be true are normally nut cases… but I believe them.”
Blaine hummed, looking over the water for a moment longer before turning to Andion. She smiled and reached up to peck his lips quickly. "Well, it would be cool if it was real. Most of it, anyway. Not necessarily the bad parts."
"But you wouldn't have an interesting adventure without the bad parts, then it wouldn't be interesting," Andion sent her a wink, grinning cheekily.
Blaine snorted and rolled her eyes, reaching back to swat at him playfully. “All right, all right. I guess that’s true.”
Andion giggled, "It is. Now, it's your choice to believe it the stories, good and bad but it makes life a little more interesting when you do."
Blaine sighed and leaned back into him again, turning her gaze back over the water. "We'll see. It would definitely make life more interesting, I'm sure, but… We'll see…"
Andion rested his chin atop her head, sighing through his nose, "We will see indeed."
"Do you want to stand out here a bit longer, or should we go unpack?" Blaine asked after a moment without turning to face him.
"We should probably go unpack," Andion replied, though he didn't take his eyes off the water, "And then talk about what we're going to do when we arrive in Maradova."
Blaine hummed her agreement and turned around in his arms. “Hey… Earth to Andion,” she chuckled softly, reaching to to pat his cheek. “C’mon, let’s go. We can lay down together while we talk about it.”
Andion snapped out of it and smiled a little and nodded, “Right, yeah, come on then.” He took her hand in his.
Blaine laughed a little and squeezed his hand as she followed him down to the room. They stepped inside, and she closed the door behind them before laying down and stretching out on the bed. “What’s the plan for when we arrive? Try to get an audience with the king?”
Andion nodded, pulling off his boots before joining her on the bed, "That would be logical. Though they might throw us in the dungeons if we just go 'Hey, we were sent to kill your son, though we don;t want to, can you answer some of our questions, your majesty?'"
Blaine laughed, curling up beside him. “Well, yeah. That’s obviously not a good idea. Maybe we could request an audience with the prince instead and explain the situation to him?”
"That might be a better option, hopefully he is understanding. They're currently having their spring festival so it might be hard to get one formally. If not we could talk to him during the events." Andion shrugged.
“Spring festival? Oh… Well, I guess we’ll be missing it on that, then,” Blaine mused, biting back a sigh. She felt like a little girl at the mention of any festival. They had been her favorite before… everything had happened…
Andion twirled a strand of her hair round his finger, "We can always go to the festival for fun, you know? For a couple hours at least."
Blaine’s eyes lit up, though she controlled the wide smile that threatened to break out. “Really? Are you sure? Don’t we have a limited amount of time?”
"Nah, Thranion isn't going to care if we enjoy ourselves a little. What doesn't know can't hurt him." Andion sent her a wink.
Blaine couldn’t keep it in any longer at that. Her grin split her face, wide and unrestrained and incredibly happy. “Amazing. Wonderful. That sounds like a perfect idea. I can’t wait.”
Andion chuckled, pressing a kiss to her cheek, "Me neither. I'm glad you're excited."
“Sorry, it’s just been so long since I went to a festival for fun,” Blaine breathed, snuggling closer to her boyfriend.
"No need to apologise," Andion replied, bringing her closer to him, "It's perfectly fine to be excited."
Blaine smiled up at him softly before pressing their lips together for a moment. “Thanks, love. What else do we need to figure out?”
"What we're gonna do if they don't know anything about those symbols…" He frowned.
“I… I don’t know,” Blaine whispered, shifting to bury her face in his chest. “This is such a mess, Andion…”
Andion sighed, rubbing softly circles on her back, "I know, love. I guess that's what happens when you're an assassin but don't want to be and have an idiot watching your ever move."
Blaine chuckled quietly. “Yeah. I guess so. Ugh, why did I ever agree to being an assassin? Even if I was starving… But then I guess I never would have met you, hm?”
Andion hummed his agreement, “That is true.”
