"You'll see!", Yang said challengingly.
"You'll see!", Yang said challengingly.
"Awesome! I wonder if my magic works on adamant…" Teddy exclaimed before muttering the last part to himself, he was curious by nature.
Tessa frowned, coming forward. "Excuse me, miss? … I don't think I have powers. I'm pretty ordinary, for the most part. This must be some mistake."
Yang wondered why she was here. She didn't look like she had nearly as much muscle as Yang did. Was she an expert at a weapon?
"I can see the condition in your aura, child, you have gifts." Ceres said, as Walsh sheathed his sword.
"I can snarf down falafel in under two minutes and pickpocket a guy in one. Very helpful," Tessa snarked. "Look, this is great and all, but I don't really think that this is for me…" She turned around and began to walk away.
Yang was conflicted as to wether she should let the girl go or stop her. "Uh… I'm sure there's a reason you're here!", she called to the girl.
"Are you sure you do not want to help people?" Ceres asked, tipping her floppy hat.
Tessa hesitated, but only for a second. "What do you mean? Are we supposed to be, like, superheroes or some shit?"
Yeah.. what are we supposed to be?, Yang wondered.
"You are all supposed to be exorcists, demon-hunters and the like… It is a service that is in great demand, however the government simply pays off people like me to teach you! And if you graduate, they'll pay you too!"
"Huh… thanks for an explanation.", Yang said, unsure of how to respond.
"… How good is the healthcare? It's got to be better than what I had previously, which is to say, nothing."
"You receive benefits." Ceres said, s smile. "Anything else?" She asked.
"Will you not kill us?"
"I have no desire." Ceres said. "Would you like me to show you around?" She inquired, her hair bouncing as she laughed again.
Alvis raised his hand.
"Yes ma'am!" He said, before putting it down.
"Great!", Yang said, brighter than before. "I'd like a tour."
"Come along… Right here are the Dining Pavilion and the Sauna." She sqid waving her hand to the two buildings on either side of them. Both nondescript brick with sheetmetal roofs and signs. The Dining Hall was the bigger of the two.
"Nice.", Yang remarked. So far, so good.
Tessa's lip curled up in disgust. There were people starving on the streets, girls selling their bodies for money, and these fuckers have a sauna? "Why would you even need a sauna?"
"You think so lovely of us?" Ceres asked, reading her mind. "You people will be under a lot of stress this next year… We find it best you… Relax…" She added…
"Lovely? Maybe not lovely, but a good place.", Yang nodded.
Tessa bit her lip in frustration. "Fine. I'll take a dip in the tub after I'm done banishing Satan or whatever."
"Satan… You will have to surpass even me to have the slimmest chance at that…" Ceres smiled, running a hand through her cascading hair.
Alex was getting restless with all of this. "I literally have no interest in fighting anyone. My power is literally persuasion. How can I even help?"
(I fucking forgot where Darwin and Ninon are… sorry…)

"You may be of service yet… As our diplomat." Ceres said.

"You may be of service yet… As our diplomat." Ceres said.
Yang sighed. She didn't have powers either, so Alex would just have to deal with it. She couldn't help but to feel a little sorry for her though.
"What's all the fuss?" Ceres asked Yang, coming up to her.
