She moved away a little, looking around the kitchen. This place is odd but nice.
Micheal glanced at her when she moved away. Did I do something wrong? He looked hastily back down at the pancake, sighing slowly.
Red heard his sigh and turned to look at him. "You okay?"
Micheal looked up at her again. “O-oh. No. Imean yes. Yes, everything’s okay.”
For some reason, heat rose to where cheeks when he looked at her. "You sure?"
Micheal cleared his throat softly, trying to cover his blunder. “Y-yeah. I’m good.”
She looked down to the floor. "If you say so."
Micheal looked determinedly at the stove. By the tone of her voice, he had reprimanded her. He bit back an apology.
She walked up to him again and watched him cook. "What are you doing now?" She felt like a child asking so many questions.
Micheal grabbed out a spatula from his dishwasher as she approached him again. He jumped slightly and looked back at her.
“O-oh, I’m getting ready to flip it.
She nodded. "Oh. Okay." He seemed tense, but she still couldn't tell why.
