Tyler looked up at her worriedly. "Not…oh..god Macha..I'm so sorry, I didn't even realize..did I hurt you?" He asked, looking her over carefully.

She shook her head quickly, wrapping her arms around him. “I missed you—“

“I’m sorry..I thought I had it under control..I thought we were going to be okay..” He said quietly, tears forming in his eyes.

Macha pulled back, grasping his hands tightly. “We are going to be okay, you hear me? Don’t cry— please don’t cry—“

Tyler nodded and rested his forehead on hers. “I just want the best for you and I feel like I can’t give that to you..”

Tyler kissed her gently. “I’ll keep you safe, the best that I can.” He whispered against her lips.

“Only for you..” He replied softly, holding her gently in his arms.

Macha bit her lip, raising a hand to trace his jawline. “Are you sure you’re older king okay? I can get you water?”

A furrow appeared between her eyebrows– was that really a good idea. "Fine," she agreed with a sigh. "But you right my number down on your arm. And you call me if anything happens."

"Of course." He murmured, standing up with some difficulty and holding back a cry as his head throbbed painfully. "Stay safe.."

"I love you.." She stood, reaching out to support him. "Lay down, alright? Watch some TV, read a book.. just relax."

Tyler nodded, hugging her quickly and sitting down on the bed with his head in his hands. "I love you too.."

"Take care of yourself," she told him softly, sweeping a kiss across his temple and reaching for her sweater. "Okay?"

"Yeah..I will." He said, his voice low and weary. "You too.."

Pulling the sweater over her head, Macha approached him, gave him a tight hug, ran her fingers through his hair. "You'd better."
