"I don't know! I wanted to say it and I couldn't and I don't know why!"
"I don't know! I wanted to say it and I couldn't and I don't know why!"
"It's too late now. I won't help you anymore."
"Why?" Her throat closed around the question, making it a whisper.
"Because you didn't accept my help."
Anah bit her lip. How could she say that she wanted it, but couldn't have it?
"So I won't give it anymore."
Anah fought the rage in her. “No… I… I need your help…”
"I won't give you help if you won't let me give it."
“I…” No!!! Something inside of her cut her off and she flinched wildly.
"I want to give you help, sister! I really do! But I can't if you won't let me."
Anah groaned. Something was eating up at her from the inside. She attached one word to the growing feeling: anguish.
"Do you want my help?"
Yes! Help me! This pain is consuming me from the inside!
She looked at her sister. Her lips moved, forming the exact words she wanted to say: Yes, I need you. Instead, nothing came out.
"I said, DO YOU WANT MY HELP, SISTER?!"
Anah let out a sob. She collapsed onto her knees, weak and trembling. "Yes…" she whispered.
(Rena?)
Elina knelt next to her sister. "Then let me help you."
Anah felt something inside her screaming at her to not let her sister in. "I… I don't… understand," she managed, then shakily pointed to herself, so she could clarify what she meant.
"You don't understand why I want to help you? You're my sister, Anah."
"My mind… My mind is telling me to stay away from you, and I don't understand why," Anah explained sadly. "I need your help, Elina, please."
"And I want to help you. I really do. Just take my hand."
Anah reached, but her head screamed, "NO! Don't do that! She's only here to betray you! You don't need help! You are powerful! You are the Ice Queen!" Anah hesitated, the fight written on her face. "Wait," she managed to say to Elina.
"Why? Why do you keep hesitating?"
"My head… the voice… I want to…" Anah yelled out in pain and clutched her head with both hands. "Elina, wait, please don't leave me!" "WALK AWAY!"
"I won't leave you. I promise."
Anah smiled softly. “Thank you,” she whispered. ”You have power! You are powerful!”
"Hug?" Elina asked, holding out her arms.
At first, Anah recoiled slightly. ”Yes! Good!” She began to inch forward slowly until she could wrap her arms around her sister. “I need you,” she whispered.
"I know," Elina whispered. "I know."
“There’s a voice in my head, Elina. It hates you and I don’t know why.”
