(I'll take your word for it.)
I'll bet it was adorable.
(I'd say more cringey and embarrassing)
(All flirting is like that tho tbh)
Yeah……It sure is. (Flashback)
(Really bad, incredibly embarrassing flashback)
"My condolences," Peter offered in a small, sympathetic laugh.
(hey guys I'm back… But I
So lost. Can somebody explain to me what has happened? Just a quick summary please)
(Sorry I was gone so long everyone! @Irish_Dancer1102 you're sleeping on one of the bunks in the room you share with Macha. YOu can wake up if you want, or have Skylar dream again?)
Macha nodded in acknowledgement of Josh. "Thanks for that.", she told Dani. Your warning notes have gotten me out of quite a few sticky situations." "I know what you mean about Ana.", she conveyed telepathically. "I'm worried too. I've had experience in the past with people with a similar mindset to her, maybe I can help?" "What happens next?", she asked out loud.
(@NERD I love the idea!)
(@Horselover418, where are you? We need Amber :(
(Is Blake the new cinnamon roll? #conspiracytheories)
(Plot twist: Blake and Josh fight each other for ultimate cinnamon roll status.)
(Bigger plot twist: Ana ends up taking the prize)
(That's so true it hurts @mistress-0f-n0ne)
(>:D)
"Anyway, I should go, ask someone." Ace walked out of the room and went inside of the common room,
She perked her head up once more. "Uh…I'm not sure…" she's not sure about a lot of things. Like why was she here among this group. How did they know about her and why? She wasn't able to do anything…so why her?
(we're in the common room btw)
I'll be gone for a while, so can you guys take care of Ace?
(sure)
"Dani? You know what's going on, right? What do we do next?", Macha asked as Ace re-entered the room, looking sheepish. "Does anyone have some glasses that I could borrow?", he asked, obviously embarrassed. Macha couldn't suppress a grin.
Josh, who had been awkwardly standing off beside the doorway, bowed his head towards Macha. New people always made him a bit nervous, and a lot of new people–especially cute girls he didn't know–caused him to–
"Ack!" Josh whirled around to spot a small flower pot–which used to hold a small assortment of flowers–now had many more flowers growing and spilling out of the pot. Flustered, Joshua shot out his arms and sprinted over to the flower pot, scooping it up into his arms. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Josh began to rub the flower pot with his sweater paws, concentrating solely on the flowers for a few solid moments until the growing stopped. Murmuring softly to the flowers, Joshua was able to somewhat successfully restore the plants back to their original condition.
"Sorry about that. I'm still not all that used to my powers." Josh grinned sheepishly, still clutching the flower pot. His hands, tucked inside of the sleeves of his over-sized jacket, still lightly caressed the pot.
"Does anyone have some glasses that I could borrow?"
The sound of an unfamiliar voice made Joshua jump, and a single dandelion sprouted up from the flower pot.
She looked over at the sudden sprouting of flowers. Her hazel eyes widening. "Woah…" she breathed. Though she refrained from getting up. The new person seemed embarrassed by it. What did that mean anyways? Everyone seemed so much more intriguing than she was. Ana shook her head at Ace's request. She didn't think her vision was awful. At least, she hoped not. "I-It's fine…the flowers are…cool…" she mumbled. Was that weird? It was probably a weird thing to say. She'll just…shut up now.
Joshua looked up, eyeing the girl who had just spoke up. A soft color rose to his cheeks, and he smiled. A soft, warm smile. "Really? I…uh…thanks. I don't think I've ever had anyone compliment my powers like that. It's always a 'Huh, so, like, can you shoot vines out of the ground?' 'Can you grow me this kind of flower or that kind of flower?' 'Do you make bouquets?'" Josh laughed softly, taking a few tentative steps closer so they weren't talking from across the room. "Uh…hi. I'm Josh."
Okay good. She didn't make herself a complete weirdo at the moment and cause him to instantly hate her. That was an achievement at least. "O-Oh…" Really? That's her response. She internally cringed at her own social awkwardness. Ana gave a nervous laugh in response. Why does she keep doing this to herself? "I'm Ana…" she said softly. "Does…Does everyone here have powers?" she asked. Well, everyone except her. Making her feel even more worthless. Oh joy.
Joshua giggled slightly. "Oh gosh, no. Almost half of the people who work here don't have powers. The R.A.C actually keeps a heavy surveillance over powered people, so it's usually people who don't have powers, or people who's powers manifested late in life–like me–that are a part of the TGR. Uh, that stands for The Guardians of the Realm. We have this HUGE surveillance team down on floor five, made up of just average un-powered people! Only a third of them actually have a degree in computer science, the rest of 'em are just normal guys who wanted to help. We've also got Doctors, some magical healers–sure, but with all of the people we have down here it's really stupid to try and rely on just powered people alone–we also have the HUGE cafeteria and mess hall run COMPLETELY by non-powered people.
You might think that from out ground-teams–The people you see leading resistances and stuff–that everyone here was powered. Heck, I joined when I didn't even know that I HAD powers! That's why I'm so bad at it. I haven't had all of my life like some of these guys to learn and perfect my powers. I don't even know how much powers I actually posses–aaand I'm rambling. I'm sorry." Josh hung his head slightly, blushing.
Ana was bombarded with information. But it was useful information, she was glad she didn't have to ask the questions about it. Lord knows she wouldn't have had the courage to anyways. So, she waited and listened intently. Content with just letting him speak. Usually when people talk about something they're passionate about their eyes light up, who was she to deny them that, or even interrupt them? Though with all those things, Ana hadn't the faintest idea of what she could do. She knew how to cook, technology she wasn't amazing with, just…average, and she didn't even know where to start when it came to being a doctor. She knew it took a lot of dedication and learning, but that was about it. Maybe…Just maybe she might have powers later in life. But, she was 18, if they didn't show up now then…when? If at all. Though Joshua was trying to be encouraging she only felt more useless. "N-No it's fine! Feel free to um…to talk about it as much as you like. I can tell you're…you're really passionate about this stuff!" she stammered out. Ana had a really bad habit of stuttering and she hated it.
