“We should check the basement for mold, though. And the bathrooms. And the kitchen. And just double check everything else,” Lilah said as she flipped the fireplace off and walked back to Cameron.
“We should check the basement for mold, though. And the bathrooms. And the kitchen. And just double check everything else,” Lilah said as she flipped the fireplace off and walked back to Cameron.
Cameron nodded. “And check for bugs. And stains in the carpets. And mouse droppings. Or rats. Ugh.”
Lilah shivered a bit, nodding her agreement. “Yes. But please don’t let me find the rats,” she joked with a chuckle.
Cameron giggled softly. “I’ll let you find rats.”
“Rude,” Lilah gasped over dramatically, swatting ay his arm with her free hand.
Cameron giggled more into his hands, looking around. “Anyway. Wanna go check out the kitchen?”
“Of course!” Lilah exclaimed, already starting in that direction.
Cameron followed her intently, grinning. Tobias cooed softly on Lilah’s shoulder, drooling on her shirt.
Lilah glanced over at her son, kissing his head quickly as she stepped into the kitchen. “Oh, it’s modern. I like that. And I love this island,” she mused, running a hand across the marble surface.
Cameron opened the refrigerator, beaming. “It better come with this fridge. It’s amazing!”
Lilah looked over at it and hummed her appreciation. “Yeah, I agree. And this oven is great, too!”
Cameron shut the fridge, looking over. “Ooh. Okay, I’ll start looking at the outlets in here.”
“M’kay. Good idea. I’ll check the cupboards… If I scream, I probably found a rat or a mouse,” Lilah said, only half joking.
“Mmmmhm,” Cameron hummed softly, nosing around behind the fridge.
Lilah looked through each of the cupboards the best that she could and didn’t find anything that would be concerning. Someone had left a cat mug in one of them, though, which made her smile. “Hey, Cam? Can we keep this?”
Cameron glanced up from the fridge, peering over it. “Hmmm… sure. We should clean it first, though.”
(I hate cramps…)
“Oh, no. I was going to drink out of a random cup I found,” Lilah joked, rolling her eyes.
(Oooooooof)
Cameron chuckled softly and rolled his eyes. “Sure you won’t, dear.”
Lilah turned and stuck her tongue out at him. “Okay, the cupboards were good. Microwave… is also good,” she hummed as she checked it.
Cameron nosed around the floor, checking the wires for bites. “Pretty good overall in here.”
“Anything else in here that needs to be checked? Or should I go to the next room?” Lilah wondered.
Cameron straightened up and meandered over to her. “We can go to the other room.”
“Okay. I think there was a bathroom just down the hall,” Lilah said as she started to head that way.
Cameron nodded and smiled. “Let’s go, then! Lead the way.”
(Sure!)
Lilah stepped into the entryway and gave the house one last look, grinning. “I like it. I like it a lot.”
Cameron nodded happily, smiling. “I do too. It’s great. Wonderful. I think this is our home.”
“Me, too…” Lilah sighed, leaning over to kiss his cheek. “C’mon, let’s go call and see if we can get it.”
Cameron nodded and pecked her back. “Let’s. It’s really well priced. I’m impressed.”
