Macha tackles the girl to the ground, whipping her spear out and pressing it against her chest with fire in her eyes.

"Ok, but if his father comes out, I'm gonna leave him in a room with my lawyer; Kata." Zander said, putting a hand on her shoulder.

Dani turned around and leaned her head against his chest, giving him a slight nod. "Deal." She said softly.

"Then let's get this case over with so that we can ditch tweedledumb and tweedledumber." Zander said, kissing her forehead.

Dani snorted. "Yes, lets." She pulled away from Zander and bent down, picking up a small piece of torn paper. She frowned again.

Indali was stunned. She whipped out her knife and threw it at the girl (Macha).

The knife grazed her arm as she dodged and slammed the hilt of her spear into the girl’s head, trying to knock her out. “Ace?”, she called.

"What's wrong?" Zander asked.

Ace could only see black as he plunged into a downward spiral.

"Atstekskiye khramy ….. chto oni khoteli by s atstekskim khramom?" Dani said, confused.

Getting desperate, Macha held the girl down, punching her harder this time to knock her out.

Indali made a prayer to Vishnu to keep herself strong and blacked out.

"Shaba-laba ding-dong." Zander replied.

Macha tied the girl up and banged in the closet door, calling Ace’s name.

Ace could faintly hear Macha's voice, but his voice was small as he called out.
"Macha…I think..I'm dying.."

"Very funny Zander. Aztec………….Aztec………….." She started searching the store for any books on Aztec history.

Macha finally got the door open and rushed to pull Ace to her, murmuring comfortingly despite her panic and spreading her wings to take off.

"I thought so." Zander replied, picking up a book." Will this one work?"

Ace was covered in blood as he persuaded Macha to not bring him to the hospital. "I hate….that place."

“Ace, you are not [bad word] dying on me. Not happening. You went out, you almost got killed.” Her robe was stern but her voice trembled with each word.

"I know..that…I'm stupid.." he made out the words, coughing up blood.

Dani gently took the book from him. "Yup." She flipped through it quickly. "Hmm………."

Macha swore again, landing at TGR and running to the hospital with Ace in her arms. “Yeah, but you’re my idiot. So stop being reckless and sit in the hospital bed until you’re better.” Her voice broke. “I love you, Ace. Don’t ever scare me like that again.”

Ace smiled faintly, "Your idiot? I love you too, darling."

“Now save your breath and stay alive.” (Hamilton reference) she ran into the hospital, yelling for help at the top of her lungs.

Zander looked over her shoulder." Does it say 'Shaba-laba ding-dong' ?"

Dani dropped the book quickly. "Yeah okay no. Not messing with that. We can go now Zander." She said as she walked to the owner of the shop and spoke to him quickly, then coming back. "We can't do anything about this anyway. The repairmen are already on their way."
