Cameron scribbled it down in his weirdly neat but messy handwriting. “Alright. Next?”

Lilah clicked on another house, this one looking much better than the last. She “ooh”ed at it, looking it over. “I like this one a lot…”
Cameron blinked, nodding. “Okay. What’s the bed-bath?”
“Four bed, two and a half bath,” Lilah read off the screen.
“Hm only two and a half bath?” He frowned. If they were gonna have a son and a daughter, that probably wasn’t the best plan.
“Well, two and a half is better than just one or two,” Lilah said with a shrug.
Cameron nodded thoughtfully. “True. How much square feet?”
“Looks like… Three thousand,” Lilah said after she found it. “That’s even better than the last one. And this one has a finished basement.”
“Huh. What’s the price, Lilah?” He tilted his head, smiling a bit.
“It’s… Actually in our price range…” Lilah said, raising her eyebrows in surprise as she showed it to him.
Cameron squinted at the screen, then sat up slightly. “Weird! Can we book for a tour?”
Lilah scrolled down the page and found a number they could call to do so. “Looks like it. Do you think we should?”
Cameron sat back with a nod. “I think we should. Is it the house for us?”
Lilah chewed on her lip as she scrolled through the pictures. It was certainly a nice house, with a beautiful backyard…
“Let’s tour it first, but I think it might be,” she said, looking over at her husband softly.
Cameron smiled and reorganized the house things. “Hopefully it is. We’ve visited three houses and four condos.”
Lilah nodded slowly, making a face at the thought of the last house they’d visited. “That last one was disgusting… All that garbage everywhere… And the smell…”
Cameron wrinkled his nose. “Thankfully we didn’t bring Tobias on that house tour.”
“Oh, yes. Definitely. Should we bring him on this one?” Lilah wondered.
“Hmm…” Cameron tilted his head in thought. “Yeah, sure, why not?”
“We could see if there’s anything we need to babyproof this way,” Lilah chuckled jokingly.
Cameron chuckled with her, shrugging. “You're right, though, honestly.”
Lilah nodded, humming agreement. “Yeah… Just as long as he doesn’t fall down any stairs or ingest any poisons…”
“Or eat something. Like batteries. Or lick the remote.” He shivered.
“I still can’t believe he licked the remote the other day,” Lilah said, her face contorting oddly. She almost wanted to laugh at the ridiculousness of it, but she had been worried about him at the time…
Cameron’s expression was odd. He looked mildly afraid. “I know. It must’ve been filthy. But the fact that he cried when we took it away kind of startled me.”

(Wow… Five posts…)
“He’s so weird sometimes,” Lilah sighed, rubbing at her face wearily. “We’re going to have our hands full when he grows up…”
