(Indeed.)
Myrah looked around her room. What would she do today? Wait, she had no suitors but her tutor was here today. Ugh, politics.

(my condolences)
Olive ate slowly, seeing as her first assignment was in twenty minutes. She would have used those precious minutes to see Myrah, but getting to her first post from there would take far too long. Footsteps sounded, coming down the staircase, and another knight appeared. Louis. Probably the closest thig she had to a friend in the knighthood. "Hey, Louis."
Myrah sighed and pulled her hair into a high pony tail. She moved and changed into one of her nicer dresses. A deep royal purple with cream frills and a low hanging collar.
Louis sat down in the seat beside her. "Hey, Noah. How are you?" The masculine name seemed to draw Olive's attention to something that had remained unnoticed by her– his??– active mind. Today seemed to be a more…. male day. A Noah day. "Good," she– he???– replied. "You?"
Myrah sighed as she looked at herself. Something was missing… She took one of her shorter ribbons and tied it loosely around her neck, there. That was better.
Louis shrugged loosely, rubbing at the dark circles under his eyes. "Tired, to be honest. I can't wait to be promoted, though, if I ever am. The General is thinking of handing out a few promotions, did you know?" Noah blinked, shaking his head. "No, I didn't. All the way to Senior Knight? Or Intermediate?"
Louis shrugged again. "Depends, I guess."
Myrah lifted her chin up, before flopping back into bed with a book.
He continued to speak in a low tone. "It would mean that we'd get to leave the castle, thank god. An actual Knight job, isn't that amazing?" Noah's blood ran cold. A job. Away from the Castle. Away from Myrah. A job that could be his.
Myrah felt a chill down her back. Strange, it wasn't that cold in here.
"Y-Yeah, amazing," he lied, swallowing. Oh god…. But I'm going to get promoted eventually, I can't stay a Junior forever or they'll kick me out… oh god.
Myrah stood up and looked out the window to the early morning sky. It was beautiful, everything felt right. Yet something felt off.
Noah excused himself, it was time to leave for his first round of duties. Feeling sick, he took up his position by the edge of the gardens, struggling to keep his face passive.
Myrah let out a sigh, she needed to go past the gardens to get to her tutoring location. Well, more like she was going to.
Wasn't a promotion a good thing? Higher pay, farther from home, a higher position, better assignments….. but no Myrah. He'd have to find ways to come back and visit….. if he even got this promotion. But even if he didn't, he would eventually, he knew how highly he ranked.
Myrah spotted Olive, she wanted to say hi. But figured it best if she kept on walking, though if at a slightly slower pace then before.
Out of the corner of his eye, Noah spotted Myrah, and his heart rose. It quickly plummeted when he realized that she would be unable to stop and talk to him in such an open location, so he trained his eyes straight ahead and said nothing.
Myrah let out a sad sigh as she passed through the garden. She made it to her tutor and was stuck sitting through her boring lessons. Why couldn't she learn about something more interesting? Like how to not kill the gays?
(ooooooooooooof)
The hours seemed to stretch out into oblivion, until finally, finally, another knight came to take his place and he was left to wander on his afternoon break.
(The gay wants to know how to not kill the gays. They don't deserve the death.)
Myrah was finally freed from her tutor. She was in a little hidden corner of the garden, she never wanted to leave it. Especially not go back to her tutor who after this 'break was supposed to launch into why the laws were the laws. Myrah was more then ready to argue once he brought up the topic of marriage.
(definitely not)
Noah turned to head for Myrah's room, when he caught a glimpse of blonde hair from around a hedge. He jogged to it, peering around. A huge smile lit up his face when he saw who it was. "Hey, Myrah!"
Myrah's head popped up. A huge smile split her face, "Hey Olive!"
Noah reached forward to hug her tightly, shifting to sit down next to her. "It's a Noah day– is that alright?"
Myrah had hugged him back as he sat down, "Yeah that's fine! Is it okay if I call you Olive by default? Like before you can tell me."
"Yeah, it's completely fine, don't worry about it. How are you?" He glanced around before pressing a kiss to her cheek.
Myrah giggled happily. She looked around before pecking him on the cheek, "Better now that your here."
Noah flushed, glancing down at the grass for a moment. "Any more suitors?"
Myrah shook her head and said with a laugh, "No, my stupid tutor today."
"How did that go? He sounds like a lot of fun…" Noah snorted.
Myrah groaned as she threw her head back, "He is the worst! And I have to go back eventually. Ugh, why can't my parents just not have him around? I already know all they think I need to know."
Chuckling, Noah slipped off a gauntlet and grasped her hand. "I'm sure you'll survive, you won't have him around for much longer."
