Cameron chuckled and went back to the dishes. “Right you are. Good luck.”
Cameron chuckled and went back to the dishes. “Right you are. Good luck.”
Lilah rolled her eyes playfully before grinning at Tobias. "Hi, Tobs! Are you ready to get cleaned up? Let's get this mess off of you," she bubbled as she started wiping him down gently.
Tobias babbled to her excitedly when he saw the rag, slapping his hands down. He continued this through her cleaning, waving his little head around.
"Honey, you are making this very difficult you know," Lilah chuckled as she tried to clean off a spot of applesauce that had somehow dried to his cheek.
Tobias babbled louder to her, smacking his hands up and down harder onto the seat. Sooner or later she finished on him.
"Okay!" Lilah breathed, pulling him out of his seat and setting him in her hip. "There's that done. We'll hose your high chair down later."
Tobias waved his little arms around, then immediately attatched to her when he was taken from the seat. He giggled softly into her neck.
Lilah chuckled and started pressing kisses all over his little face as she started toward the nursery. When they reached it, she set him down in his crib, preparing for a loud wail of protest.
Tobias’ wail was loud and sad as always. He took the bars in his tiny hands, crying loudly for her.
"No, Tobias. It's nap time. No crying, okay?" Lilah said gently, though firmly. Of course, she knew this wouldn't work, but it never hurt to try, right?
Tobias, her smol son, didn’t understand just yet. He kept crying and crying for her, sitting down helpless on the mattress.
Lilah sighed and picked him back up, making soft, soothing sounds as she sat down on the rocking chair. She hummed gently under her breath as she rocked him to sleep.
Tobias fussed into her neck, curling his hands up into fists. He slowly simmered down as she rocked for a while, his eyes floating shut.
Lilah smiled down at the sleeping baby and lightly kissed his nose before standing. She set him down in the crib, careful to not wake him, and walked out of the room. Once she was sure that he wasn't going to wake up, she made her way to her own bedroom.
Cameron had finished up with the kitchen, wiped down the counters, Tobias’ chair, the dining room table and did a little sweeping around that area. When he made his way to the bedroom, Lilah was not there, so he sat down in the bed with his phone.
Lilah smiled at Cameron when she reached their room. "Hey. He's finally down, now. How'd the rest of cleaning go?" she asked as she made her way across the room to sit down beside him.
Cameron set his phone down, smiling. “Hi. Good job, I heard him stop crying.” He giggled softly. “Cleaning went well.”
Lilah smiled curiously as she snuggled into him. "What's with the giggles, babe?"
Cameron wrapped his arms around her securely and kissed her head. “I just think it’s funny how well you can stop him from crying.”
"Oh. I think it runs in my family. My grandfather can out a baby to sleep like that," Lilah said, snapping her fingers.
Cameron giggled softly at her snap. “Like that, huh?” He snapped with her.
Lilah stuck her tongue out at him playfully. "Don't mock your wife. I just have weird things that I do sometimes, okay?"
Cameron giggled a little more. “I wasn’t mocking you!”
"Mmhm… Sure you weren't," Lilah teased, turning away from him. "Just for that, no hugs or kisses from me until after Tobias wakes up."
Cameron leaned over her, grumpily setting his chin on her shoulder. “Come onnn. I know you want a kiss.”
"Hm… Nope. But I'm sure that you do," Lilah chirped, smiling a bit as she teased him. She'd let him kiss her soon enough…
Cameron nosed her shoulder gently like a gentle dog, smiling into her shirt. “Pleaasse?”
"Oh, well since you asked so nicely, I suppose that would be okay," she chuckled, turning over to peck him lightly on the lips, teasing him a bit.
Cameron blinked lightly. “Another? Please?” He leaned forward with her when she pulled away, a light smile dancing on his lips.
Lilah giggled a bit and chewed on her lip as she glanced over his face for a moment. She leaned forward and gently pressed her lips to his, finally kissing him the way he wanted her to.
