Tobias squeaked softly, weakly raising his hands against her onslaught of kisses.
Cameron laughed and gently kissed his son’s head. “Yep. Almost.”

Cameron rolled his eyes and pawed her away. “Go sit, I’ll serve you.”
Tobias set his chin back on her shoulder, yawning slowly.

Lilah rolled her eyes at him playfully. “All right, dear. If you want to. Don’t forget the maple syrup,” she teased as she adjusted her son’s position so they would both be more comfortable and made her way to the dining room.

Cameron laughed softly and kissed her head as she left. “Thank youu! I won’t forget it.”

“You’d better not!” Lilah called back with a light laugh as she sat down with Tobias. She smiled down at him softly and started babbling to him, speaking random nonsense.

Cameron rolled his eyes as he turned back to the pancakes. Says the one who forgets our dogs when we go or a walk.

(Lilah: What? I don’t— Okay, fine… In my defense, I just had a baby. I’m allowed to be forgetful.)

Lilah laughed softly as Tobias reached up to grab her hair, gently pushing his hand away. “No, Tobs. Let’s not grab hair.”

(Should we bring their moms in, now? Or were we going to wait until after breakfast… I forgot…)

(Lolol
Ummm whenever, I’d rather rn)

Tobias made a fussy smol noise, reaching up again with a small pudgy hand. Her hair looked so shiny and soft.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

“No, no. No grabbing mommy’s hair,” Lilah said, pulling his hand away again.

A knock sounded at the door, and she looked over in confusion. She hadn’t invited anyone over… Maybe Cameron had?

“Cam, did you invite someone over?” she asked as she stood as made her way over.

Tobais fussed faintly when she pushed him away, and more when she stood up.
Cameron poked his head into the room, holding a plate.
“What? Oh, no, I didn’t invite anyone.”

Our?” Cameron repeated with a tone he never used around Lilah. It sounder angry and reproachful.

Cameron wrinkled his nose and huffed. “Fine, then, let them in.”

Lilah nodded silently and opened the door, giving the women a small smile.

"Mom. Mrs. Metzler. It's nice to see you. Would you like to come in?" she offered, stepping aside.

(realizes I never described Lady Metzler in detail)

The mildly tall woman at Lilah’s mother’s shoulder had lanky, neat blonde hair with light brown eyes. She looked most unlike Cameron in the face, it was uncanny. She smiled a tad, a tired smile, and bowed slightly.
“It is a pleasure to meet you, Lilah. Your mother has told me many things about you.” Her voice had that same rumble-in-the-throat tone that Cameron possessed.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

(Lol.)

"You as well, your highness. Cameron has told me about you, also," Lilah replied respectfully, nodding at her. "Please, both of you, come inside and have a seat. Cameron and I were just about to sit down to breakfast."

Cameron had taken Tobias from his spot in the room into the kitchen. He sat down the boy in the chair as the two women were led in.
Tobias cooed softly up at his father, taking a couple smol fistfuls of fluffy brown hair into his chubby hands.
Cameron chuckled softly and set down the bowl of applesauce, gently taking his hair from his son’s fists.

"Thank you, dear. But I don't want to interrupt your breakfast," Lilah's mother said as she followed her daughter inside.

"It's not problem. I'm sure we have food to spare. Right, Cam?" Lilah asked, smiling at him as they walked in. The look she gave him practically begged that he be civil toward the women. They didn't need something going wrong right now.

(Oml I can just imagine Cameron putting on the fakest smile and being like, “uNFORUNATELY WE DON’T” as there’s extra food obviously sitting on the counter)

Cameron gave a tiny, totally mustered smile to Lilah’s mother more than his own with a nod.
“We sure do! There’s stuff right over there.”

Lady Metzler glanced from the tiny Tobias plapping his hands on the spilled applesauce and sat with a soft “thank you”.
Cameron plated some breakfast for the pair of women, handing the plates over and the syrup.

Lilah pulled a chair our downer own mother, who sat and thanked her politely. She grinned at the baby as she watched him playing with his food.

"That must be the grandson I've been waiting to meet," she mused softly.

Lilah cleared her throat as she took her seat beside Cameron's. "Yes, actually… This is Tobias Nathan Metzler. Tobias, after Cameron because it's his middle name."

Cameron busied himself with his food, keeping his gaze uncharacteristically low as Lady Metzler shifted around in her chair.
“That was his father’s name,” She pointed out with a soft smile, looking to little Tobias.

Lilah raised her eyebrows and glanced over at Cameron. "Oh, really? I wasn't aware. He's just over a month old, now."

(I can't remember how far we agreed to skip, so I guessed…)

Deleted user

(I think it was two?)

Cameron didn’t look up at her, just poked at his bacon with much more interest than any normal human would have.
“That’s unfortunate. It is a very nice name. And he looks as strong as an ox already.” She smiled.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

(Well, then, pretend she said two. Lol.)

Lilah hummed and nodded, her gaze unwavering from her husband. Why hasn't he said something about that? She would have understood better why he didn't like the name.

We'll talk about this later…

"He is growing quickly, I see," Lilah's mother agreed as she continued to watch him splash his applesauce.

Lilah nodded again. "Yes, he is. He's getting stronger everyday."

Tobias looked up and cooed loudly. He wanted more applesauce to slap violently. It was fun to tap and hear the squishy noise. He giggled softly at all of the attention, leaning back in his chair.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Lilah looked over at her son and smiled softly. "Okay, Tobs, no more making a mess of your food, okay?" she said as she stood. "I'll be right back. I'm going to go get a new applesauce so I can feed him."
