Carter hummed happily, so joyful to be with Arria. “I love you more than the world, Arria.” He moved his hand to trace over his fiance’s lips softly, enjoying and savoring every moment he was with Arria.
Carter hummed happily, so joyful to be with Arria. “I love you more than the world, Arria.” He moved his hand to trace over his fiance’s lips softly, enjoying and savoring every moment he was with Arria.
Arria smiled and niped at Carter’s fingers playfully, “I love you more then all the stars in the sky, Carter.” He tangled one hand in his loves hair, playing with it gently.
Carter smiled happily at Arria, “Well I love you more than the entire universe.” He snuck a kiss on Arria’s lips, eyes shimmering with happiness. This was just so perfect.
Arria pouted and feigned sadness, trying to keep his mischievousness out of the way, “But that’s not faiiiiiir.” He whined, burying his face into the crook of Carter’s neck, pressing a kiss there.
Carter smiled, leaning in to Arria as his hands found their way up to tangle into Arria’s hair. The feeling of Arria’s lips on his neck again sent a tingle down his spine and his toes curled. This merman is just so perfect… how did I get so lucky?
Arria let out a content sigh, pressing a few more kisses to his loves neck before he pulled back, “What are we doing today? Still resting?” He asked, cocking his head to the side as he asked the question.
“Whatever you want, love. If you want to catch up with your friends, or just relax- whatever you want because I’m happy just to be with you,” Carter told him, planting a soft kiss on Arria’s forehead.
Arria rolled his eyes but smiled, “You’re talking to the most indecisive man in the seas. I have no idea what I wanna do,” He sighed yet his eyes shone with happiness, “What do you wanna do?”
“I just want to hang out with you, like I said,” Carter chuckled softly, “We should just flip a coin, I think I am as indecisive as you are, love.” A smile still stayed curled on his lips as he brushed his hand through Arria’s hair, “Maybe we coud just swim together, you and I.” After all, getting used to his half missing tail would take a little practice.
Arria smiled softly and nodded, “I like that idea. There’s a place I want to show you not too far from here.” He took Carter’s hand and kissed the back of it softly.
Carter smiled, the brush of Arria’s lips against his hand making his heart yearn for more. Carter slowly sat up, completely entrapped with Arria. “I love you,” He murmured softly, then reluctantly pulled away so he could reach over and grab a potion for himself.
“I love you too.” Arria whispered, slowly pushing himself further off of Carter and land, back into the water. He ducked under the water, wetting his hair and face quickly before coming back up, letting out a content sigh as he did so.
Carter slipped off his shorts and chugged his potion before slipping into the water just as his legs changed into a tail. It was doing better now that he gave himself an extra night to sleep on it and recover a little bit more.
Arria looked down at Carter’s tail and bit his lip, guilt churning in his stomach again. He pushed it aside and intertwined his hand with his loves, “Come in, we’ll go slow at first…” he said quietly, diving under the water.
Carter dove with him, taking a deep breath and squaring his shoulders as they started to swim. He kissed Arria on the cheek before he added, “Thank you, love.”
“What for?” Arria asked, slightly confused as he led them through the warm waters, the slight current waving their hair slightly with it.
“For being so kind. Loving. Caring. Gentle. For being so amazing to me,” Carter told him as he continued to test out his tail. “For always making me happy.”
Arria flushed and looked away, “Gosh Carter…” He was going to protest but decided against it right now. He looked back with a small smile, his face visibly red, “T-Thank-you.”
Carter gave him another kiss on the cheek, pulling back with a smile, “I really do love you. You’ll own my heart forever and always.” Carter squeezed Arria hand and hummed contently, just so happy to be with Arria.
Arria squeezed back, just not as hard, “I really love you too.” He out on a smile even though he had a feeling something bad was going to happen which sent his to stomach churning. He pushed it away.
Carter smiled a took a moment to enjoy just swimming with Arria. Nothing could go wrong- after all, they’ve already had enough bad luck for a life time. Now, he could just be with Arria and they could be at peace.
Arria soon slowed them down even more, taking a dive through some reeds before it opened up into a larger area. He led them around the rocks before it opened up into a large, underwater grotto. Different plant life and fish popped up everywhere, bright colours also poked up making the place feel magical.
Carter gasped in amazement, “It’s… It’s beautiful…” All the colors, the different species of fish and plants… “It’s stunning, Arria.” Carter told his love softly, his eyes as wide as saucers.
Arria rubbed at the back of his neck, “Yeah, it is,” He smiled softly at Carter, leading him further into the grotto like place. A small fish came up and nuzzled at Arria’s neck, causing him to giggle quietly.
(Sorry I disappeared for a few days)
“Woah,” Carter laughed a little bit, “I’massuming you’ve been here before?” He asked with a smirk, then shifting his gaze to stare in awe at the grotto.
(It’s fine, don’t worry)
Arria nodded, “Yup,” He took Carter’s hand, swimming with him in and out of the multicoloured coral, “Quite a few times because one, it’s peaceful and two, it’s beautiful.”
“It is,” Carter agreed as he swam with Arria. The moment was enough to distract him from his tail, enough so he could just be happy with Arria. “When did you find this place?” Carter asked as he continued to look around.
“Uh…” Arria frowned in thought before counting on his fingers for a few seconds, “About a year ago. I was swimming away from Herla and all that and stumbled upon this place,” He shrugged a shoulder.
“I wanna hear that story sometime,” Carter told him with a chuckle as he brushed his hand over a piece of smooth coral. “This seems like the kind of place that would just be stumbled upon by chance, it’s just so beautiful.”
Arria nodded and hummed his agreement, “Yeah. And that’s what happened,” He chuckled quietly, “Apart from our cave, I think this is my-“
He was cut off by a shouting, “Arria! Carter!” It was Herla.
