NO NO AND NO. NO ONE WILL DIE

Scarlet turned worriedly to Harper. “What’s wrong?!”

Chelsea continued wailing, remembering everything. She hasn’t cried like this for 7 years.

"Panic……….attack."

Crying girls…panicking girls…this is not something I want to deal with right now… Cade sat back down on the table.

( Aw, why can't she just die )

(Because we love her!!!!!!! And Scarlet and Harper will have their broken hearts shattered into a million pieces!)

Scarket swore, motioning to Cade to comfort Chelsea. She wrapped her arms around her best friend, rocking her back and forth gently. “Deep breaths, remember? Focus on the sound of my voice.” She remembered when Harper would have panic attacks back at the castle, when she would sing to her. Opening her mouth, she let loose the first few notes off the old folksong she knew was Harper’s favourite.

"Yeah. . . so I'm lost." Quinn said, feeling the same way as Cade. She plopped down in her usual seat at the tea table and chose a teacup and mismatching platter, taking a sip. She turned towards Cade. "Want some tea? We've got plenty."

He shook his head. Cade looked over at Chelsea, sighing and walking over to her. "Hey." He said, smiling kindly.

Quinn remembered the song and joined in with Scarlet, harmonizing. She smiled, remembering that they would always sing this to Harper at the castle once Quinn was done training.

“Hi.” Chelsea murmured, still crying. (#THEPAINISREAL)

Harper let Scarlet's song wash over her, steadying her breaths. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. She thought, focusing on Scarlet's voice.

"What's wrong?" Cade asked simply, hoping that it was the right thing to ask.

Scarlet ascended up the scale in the song, voice blending with Quinn’s.

Quinn sat down next to Harper, continuing to sing. She held her mismatched teacup and platter, trying to keep the tea from spilling.

"Oh, right. The mom thing." Cade rocked back and forth on his feet. "Can I do anything?"

Scarlet lay her hand comfortingly in Harper’s shoulder as the finished the song. “Better now?”

Quinn took a bite from a tea cake, her gaze asking the same question. "Yweah, awre ywou fweeling bwetter now?" She asked, her voice muffled by the desert.

Harper nodded. "A lot better. Thanks."

“Good.”, Scarlet smiled. “Remember when we used to make you flower crowns that we made from flowers stolen from the garden? And we would sit in circles telling spooky stories, but then switching to goofy ones once we all got scared?”

"Like the stories about my father's friend, the Mad Hatter. Remember those ones?" She added on, looking at Matt.

"You guys………….ummmmmm" How do you tell your two best friends that you're actually one of the only two surviving princesses of the Heart (clan or kingdom? Whichever it is)???? It's not like you can just say, "Hey so I'm a Forgotten Princess."

Harper laughed and nodded. "Yeah I remember."
