She could feel his hesitation. "What's up?" Concern took over her face.
She could feel his hesitation. "What's up?" Concern took over her face.
Micheal poked the mud. “I might fall! I’m very clumsy. I trip all the time.” This wasn’t a lie. He had tripped over so many things in his lifetime.
"So do I! I was really clumsy, which was really hard to do in the sky. There was nothing around." Crap. "I- uh, the point is just to go for it."
Micheal raised his eyebrows. “Sky? What do you mean, sky?”
"I, no what? Pffftt! Sky?" She laughed nervously. "You know what? I think that we should just keep going. Save the puddle for another day, yeah?" She turned around and began to walk. Idiot idiot idiot idiot.
Micheal blinked and nodded. He went after her, which required him to walk through the puddle. Suddenly, though, his foot slipped on a moist part of the puddle and he fell back with a squeak, his clothes getting soaked in mud, as well as his hair.
She heard the splash of the puddle and turned to see him on the ground. "Micheal!" She ran back to him, crouching to see if he was okay.
Micheal sighed and looked up at her.
“That was fun.”
"I'm sure it was. Just not for me- you nearly gave me a heart attack!" She shook her head a little. "You okay? I mean, besides all the mud that's covering you."
Micheal sat up slowly, sighing out. “No. My back hurts.” His back always hurt. He should get it checked out, but he never had the money.
"That's not good. Can you walk?" She wasn't sure why she was so worried. He's just a human, right?
Micheal stood up shakily. “Mhm… I can. I’ll just be in pain for a bit.”
She stood slowly with him and made sure he didn't fall. "Are you sure?"
Micheal nodded. “I already did, haven’t I?” His weak stab at a joke.
"Mister Jokster now, huh?" She laughed lightly. "If you say so."
Micheal laughed softly and nodded. “I guess I a .”
She laughed a little before letting out a sigh. She looked him up and down. "You're covered in mud.
Micheal glanced down at himself with a “huh”.
“I suppose I am.”
"Are you gonna continue like that?" She honestly wasn't sure if they should continue at all. They hadn't had any luck so far which made her doubt there would be any.
Micheal looked up at her. “Well, it’s up to you if we continue. This is kinda uncomfortable though, so….”
"Well, the point is for you to be happy, not unhappy. So, let's get ya fixed up, yeah?"
Micheal blinked a couple times and shrugged. “Okay sounds good.”
(Skip to when they get back? Or you got something for in between?)
(Nah we can skip)
(Cool, you wanna start or you want me to?)
(Could you?)
(Yeah, no prob)
They came to the door of the apartment, the walk tiring Red to the bone. She could feel every muscle ache which was probably because as a star, she didn't walk much. She did as she was told. Still, it felt nice to actually walk with somewhat of a purpose. A sigh. Are from her lips as she she stood aside to let him unlock it.
Micheal unlocked the door. He had been quiet the whole way back, and her sigh proved him right. Perhaps he was just an annoyance here in her presence. He unlocked his home and led her inside.
"Thanks." She walked through the door, bowing her head a little as she walked past him. With the way things had been, she had assumed that Micheal had hated her by now. She had just talked non stop, ranting about nothing in particular. At one point she was talking about how bright it was. Another how many sounds there were.
She turned back to him. "Oh, thanks again. For everything: helping, a place to stay- everything."
Not only had she completely filled the silence, she hadn't had any luck on either goal. I don't think it's worth it to find them.
Micheal nodded a little and turned his gaze around. “It’s no problem. I don’t mind helping someone out.” He shrugged and turned to look at her slowly, forgetting he was covered in mud.
