Oof. There's no talking to Aaron when he's beyond mad, unless he actually trusts you. Best chance to be friends with him is when he's semi-calm and he doesn't feel like people are messing with him. lol
Now that I think about it he lashes out at one of my younger characters because if he trusts you he takes betrayal badly. Saving the one protagonist he actually wants dead is betrayal. I mean, technically they killed the character twice but…. ._.

lol
Aaron has killed someone he considered a brother, the queen, has tricked several others into getting someone into a bad situation or killing them, and wants the leader of my protagonists dead.
Here's my explaination on how the complicated killed a character twice thing can happen:
Now the soul part so I can explain how they work. Pretty much everyone has a soul that is represented by a flame. The color, whether the flames flicker in jagged motions or softly, and how strong it glows are all determined by the owners personality and health. If a soul is split it often is very small and weak or instead is seen as an item that the owner carries or wears at all times, making them vulnerable if they don't know what they are doing. If one were to know how souls work they could essentially revive themselves with the help of another, the two dead or almost dead souls making a whole in which one gains control of their body with the aftereffect being the presence of another that may or may not be dormant. This is Aaron's situation with Corru, and yes I did just say Aaron was dead at some point(It's why he's scared when he can't control how high he is). Incomplete souls are often the aftermath of failed revivals of a person or entity, like a character I have named Revi who has a necklace that represents their soul rather than a flame and survives as a ghost. The drawback to this is that the person may not be fully there, such as Revi missing memories of who he is and though still wise may not know why he has knowledge of some things.

Sorry about the giant block of text. It was the only explanation I had on souls and I think it would of been confusing without everything.

Hopefully Sinann doesn't let Cherry study our characters then…

Oh. That's the first stage and what I'm working on right now. There's a second group where there's three villains but at the same time they aren't, sorta showing how you can be powerless in some situations. Then the last one literally ends my story on an endless loop while turning and pointing at the viewer or reader as the villain.
I like making stories complicated. lol
