"Woah, slow down. That's already a lot," Elide thought for a moment, "The gyros sounds nice… or the mousaka…"
“Sorry!” Phoebe laughed. “I talk too much, I know.”
Elide shook her head with a smile, "It's fine, I don't mind you talking but you talk too quickly for me to keep up!"
Phoebe shrugged bashfully. “Sorry.”
A waitress came up to them. “Have you girls decided on an order?”
"Uh…" Elide bit her lip and looked to Phoebe, "I can't choose, surprise me Phoebe."
Phoebe grinned, turning back to the waitress and ordering in fluent Greek so that Elide wouldn’t understand. The waitress nodded with a smile and left the two of them alone again.
"Maybe this was a bad idea. Now I'm nervous…" Even though she was nervous, Elide was still smiling and giddy with happiness.
Phoebe’s face fell, her anxious mind misinterpreting Elide’s words. “O-Oh. Okay. I- I can leave if you want.”
"No, not about the date stupid, you're not leaving this booth without me, about the food thing!" Elide explained, nudging Phoebe with her elbow and pressing a kiss to her cheek.
Phoebe almost melted with relief. “Oh thank god.” She smiled weakly, pressing closer to Elide’s side.
Elide smiled up at Phoebe, "I wouldn't dream of leaving you or regretting this date."
Phoebe leaned her head on Elide’s shoulder, beaming. “I’m glad… you really had me scared for a second there.”
"Maybe you should stop thinking the worst then." Elide let out a giggle.
Phoebe smiled sheepishly. “Sorry. I’ll try my best to be optimistic from now on.”
"Mhm, at least try for me, that's all I ask." Elide gently ran her hand through Phoebe's hair.
"I– That– I don't think that'll be very difficult." She wet her dry lips, slipping an arm around her– friend?? crush??
“Good,” Elide smiled at Phoebe before leaning into her a little.
Phoebe gladly accepted Elide's closeness, running her fingers lightly up and down her side. "Food should be here soon.."
“Cools because I’m hungry for once.” Elide said, feeling like she could fall asleep in Phoebe’s arms.
The waitress came back with three plates heaped with food, setting them down on the table. "I've got a lamb gyros…"
"Over here," Phoebe said with a smile.
"Then, the moussaka is for the other young lade? Great. And here are your greek fries."
“Ooo, thanks so much.” Elide smiled at the waiter before turning her attention to the food, “Wow, it looks good.”
Not as good as you.. (not in a weird way tho)
Phoebe quieted the thought, smiling at Elide. "This is one of my favourite places." A random thought occurred to her. "Where did you tell your paren— your folks you were going?"
“I said I was going out for a meal with someone I really like and would be back later. Why?” Elide frowned a little.
"Just curious," Phoebe assured her. "I told my mom that I was watching a movie with Josh and Jane."
Elide nodded, “Alrighty. Should we eat?”
"Yeah, go ahead." Phoebe lifted her gyros up to her mouth with a smile. "Other than photography and wicked dancing skill, what do you like to do?"
Elide laughed lightly, “Guitar and song writing I guess. What about you? Do you have any amazing and secret skills I should know about?” She took a bite of her meal.
"You'll have to play for me tonight.." Phoebe blushed lightly. "Not really, just drawing and writing, a bit of singing, sort of dancing, some viola. Piano, I guess. Neither of which I'm actually any good at, obviously."
“I’m sure of you practise you’ll get better,” Elide smiled at her, “And if you really want me to I’ll play for you…”
"Yesyesyes definitely." Phoebe beamed at the other girl. "Please?"
