“Why are you thanking me?” Lilah asked, looking up at him. “Just because I called you brave?”
“Why are you thanking me?” Lilah asked, looking up at him. “Just because I called you brave?”
Cameron nodded. “Yes. Cus you called me brave.” He smiled.
“Hm. Well, you’re welcome. To me, you’re always brave,” Lilah said softly, kissing his cheek.
Cameron grinned dorkily and kissed her cheek a third time. “Thank you very much. You’re much braver than I.”
“I’m not, but I don’t want to argue about it, so I’ll let you think so,” Lilah chuckled lightly, leaning into him as they walked.
Cameron chuckled and wrapped an arm around her. “I love you so much, Lilah.” He giggled.
(I hate writing poetry.
So much.)
“Love you, too, babe,” Lilah giggled.
(Yes)
Cameron laughed again and kissed her nose. “Love you more.”
(Like, how? How am I supposed to do this?)
“Love you most,” Lilah declared, reaching up to peck him on the lips quickly.
(Mooood)
“I love you to infinity,” Cameron giggled.
(I finished, but it was weird because my mom has to read and grade it, and it’s kinda, sorta, pretty deep…)
“No fair,” Lilah pouted playfully. “I didn’t think you were going to do that.”
(Oof. Good luck.)
Cameron laughed. “Expect the unexpected.”
(She liked it… What the actual heck…)
"Well, I suppose that'll be good advice for our future," Lilah chuckled. "And from our past, too."
(You might be good at poetry!)
Cameron tilted his head a bit in thought. “I suppose that’s true.”
(But… How…
Would you like to read it?)
"It seems like everything we go through is unexpected," Lilah mused.
(Yes please!)
Cameron hummed lowly, like a philosopher thinking over something. “Perhaps.”
(I PMed it to you. Which you've probably seen by now…)
"How far away wad the hospital again?" Lilah asked, looking around.
(Yep! It’s awesome!)
Cameron pointed forward. “It’s just to the right and up ahead.”
(blushes Thanks. 😊)
"Hm, okay… I just realized I didn't eat breakfast," Lilah sighed. "And now I'm hungry."
(You’re welcome.)
Cameron laughed softly and kissed her head. “We’ll get something to eat after the appointment.”
“I really want cheesecake. Can we get cheesecake?” Lilah asked hopefully.
Cameron glanced at her. “It’s… ten-thirty.”
Lilah looked over at him and shrugged. “So? I want cheesecake. Does it matter the time of day?”
Cameron blinked and slowly shook his head. “It’s just… bad for you.”
“And it’ll be bad for me later in the day, too,” Lilah said, giving him a look. “Can we just go get this thing over with now so that I can eat?”
Cameron returned the look with a confused one. Where did this suddenly very passive aggressive Lilah come from?
“O-okay.”
(Lilah is pregnant and hungry… She’s also just annoyed because she really hates the doctor and she has to wait until they’re done there to eat. And she really wants cheesecake…)
Lilah sighed and nodded. “Good… Sorry, babe… I’m just, like, really hungry… And I really dislike the doctor,” she muttered the last part under her breath as she continued walking.
(Lmao I KNOW but he doesn’t.)
Cameron squeezed her into a hug, stopping. “I know. I just don’t want you to get hurt!” He kissed her cheek gently and let her go.
(Lol. Sorry… I just do that because I feel like I need to…)
“Thanks,” Lilah said softly, pressing a quick kiss to his lips. “Now let’s go get this over with so I can eat.”
Cameron smiled shyly and nodded, nuzzling her. “It’s just up ahead.” He grabbed her hand gently.
