Macha sighed, satisfied by his short response. She curled up against his chest, laying a hand over his heart to ensure that it was still beating.

(so….don't they have college??)
(oof idk
I sort of assumed that Tyler didn't have to go for a bit bc he literally just woke up from a coma, and Macha would need to take care of him?)
(Yeah I thought that too. I'm guessing the teachers wouldn't give him make up work or anything, just like, fill them in on what they missed.)
(yeah, maybe Macha could help him get some stuff done online? Idk how college works?)
(lol yeah me neither. Let's just say he does some work and then they go back to school like normal.)
(sure, so… time skip?)
(sure to like, a week or so from now?)
(yeah sure)
(Kk I can start)
Tyler gripped Macha’s hand tight when they got out of the car, walking up to the main entrance.
Macha lead him gently through the front doors, wishing that she could be there with him the whole day. "Write my number on your arm," she told him softly.
Tyler nodded. "I think I'll be fine…" He said quietly, glancing around, searching the crowds for a familiar face. He could remember the layout of the campus pretty well and his schedule. The only problem was the people, especially since he had been gone for weeks.
(okay so I was kind of thinking about this and how Tyler can't really remember people. So there's this disorder called
Face Blindness or Prosopagnosia and basically, you can't remember anyones face. Like let's say someone turned away from you and then turned back so you could see their face, you wouldn't be able to recognize them and match their name to their face or anything. I just think that's crazy and sort of related to what he's going through.)
(whoah that's so interesting
okay that makes me sound like a terrible person, obviously I feel so sorry for the people with it and it must be a terrible thing to have, but it's interesting that something like that exists)
Macha nodded, pulling him to her in a tight hug. "You'll call me if anything's wrong? Anything at all?"
(That's exactly what I felt like. There's actually this reallly good book called Holding up the Universe and it's about a boy who has that.)
"Of course. Meet for lunch?" He asked, leaning down and kissing her quickly.
(oh cool! I'll give it a try, sounds good )
Macha nodded, heart squeezing as she forced herself to let him go. "Of course."
(yeah, sorry I was kind of rambling)
"I love you.." He whispered, taking a deep breath and turning to walk away.
(not at all!)
"I love you too…." she whispered after him, her heart breaking just a little. Honestly, she was surprised it wasn't in pieces by now.
:)
Tyler went to his classes, finding his way pretty easily, ignoring the odd looks from his classmates. A couple people questioned him but he answered vaguely, not giving the full answer. He was relived when it was finally lunchtime.
:3
Macha almost stumbled over her feet as soon as class was out– that's how anxious to see Tyler she was. She pulled out her phone, dialling his number and putting the phone to her ear with a pounding heart.
Tyler heard his phone buzzing but spotted Macha a little ways in front of him. He ran up behind her gently tapped her on the shoulder.
Macha whirled around, almost dropping her phone, but a huge smile lit up her face when she saw who it was. She hugged him tightly, murmuring. "I missed you– how was your morning?"
“Pretty good. How about you?” He asked, pulling away a little and smiling at her, kissing her softly.
“Other than worrying about you, it was good. The usual. What did you do?”
“The usual.” He smiled, taking her hand. “Where should we go for lunch?”
“I was thinking sushi? Like our first date?”
"Awww that'd be great." He smiled, putting his arm around her.
Macha leaned into Tyler, closing her eyes to savour the feeling of his arm around her, the feeling that she’d missed for so long. “I think it’s this way..”
“Oh no. You have to remember cause I certainly don’t.” He laughed, following her directions.
Macha giggled, looping her arm through his and leading him down road after road. "Uhhhh… this way? I think?" Finally, they found it and entered, still laughing.
(You okay?)
“Someday we won’t remember where anything is.” He laughed, sitting down with her.
