“Mhm. You’ll just have to take some antibiotics for the next week or so, and I can write a perscription for that,” Lucian explained as he moved to sit on the edge of Kace’s bed. He was almost.. sad to see the other go.
“Mhm. You’ll just have to take some antibiotics for the next week or so, and I can write a perscription for that,” Lucian explained as he moved to sit on the edge of Kace’s bed. He was almost.. sad to see the other go.
“Oh… well… thank you.” Kace smiled meekly. “I really enjoyed hanging out with you.” He hugged the book and a little bunny plush that Lucian had bought for him from the gift shop close. “Thank you for the gifts.”
Lucian nodded and gave a smile. He took out a slip of paper and a pen, writing a number down. “Of course, Kace. This is my number. You can call me if you need anything.”
Kace took the slip and smiled a little, setting it down carefully. “Thank you. I’ll call you. If I can find a pay phone.”
Lucian nodded slowly. “Right, you don’t have a cellphone,” he said slowly. He sat up straight. “You don’t have to leave today, if you don’t want to.”
Kace frowned and looked around. “Would I be charged? I don’t want to pay more than what I have to.”
“No, no” Lucian said with a shake of his head “You have a week. After a week you would be charged extra, but besides that, nothing will be added on.”
Kace sighed deeply. “Right. Well, I guess I should go as soon as possible, huh?”
Lucian gave a shrug. “You can do what you want, Kace,” he hummed. He nudged his glasses up a bit.
Kace looked down at the near. He wanted to stay just to hang with Lucian and get more free food, as well as somewhere to rest his head, but he wanted a drink. He wanted to do the thing that ruined his life. Not that it mattered to Kace.
Lucian gave a soft huff and shifted a bit where he was sitting on the bed. “Do you have any place to go to once you do decide to leave?” He asked.
Kace looked up slowly at Lucian and shrugged. “I have my job. But they probably fired me by now.”
“I don’t think they did. We called your work, Kace. They should have understood that you couldn’t have gone to work in your condition,” Lucian sighed out, shaking his head slowly.
Kace looked down at himself again. “Oh. Thank you, Lucian. I appreciate all of this.” He looked up at the other again, smiling shyly.
