(Great character @TheMage!)
(Thanks!)
Teresa opened her window to get some fresh air. The air in her room was stale and hot, and she was sweating. Suddenly, she heard voices. Peering out of the window at the street, she saw three shapes that looked human, but she couldn't be sure. The words she heard made her start. "I saw an electric car there the other day, I just need to start it up." The voice was female. Another voice, sounding like a male, said "Start it-oh yeah. Powers." She started. So, there WERE more people like her! Ashira had said that they were the only ones. She wondered who they were.
(Guys?)
(I'm here but I'm waiting for Charlie K or LeafyLemur)
(Yeah. Good idea.)
(I think we need Charlie K to progress the story)
(Yeah.)
(But we could just have a small conversation or Teresa could investigate the group.)
"Start it-oh yeah. Powers." Luca nodded, hoping the car wasn't too cramped.
Skylar glanced around, "Guys, we should probably keep it down. Some people might be listening in."
(But we could just have a small conversation or Teresa could investigate the group.)
(Sure.)
Luca nodded. "Alright." He grinned. "We're just a group of friends hanging out. Nothing suspicious."
"Yeah, we probably just don't want people hearing things like "powers" and things that may sound suspicious…"
Teresa slipped out her door and outside. The three figures, one male and two female, were talking real loud. She darted through the shadows.
"Sooo… where are we actually going…?" Skylar looked around some more. She had that feeling someone was watching them.
Luca shrugged. "Dunno. Cece here says we're starting up a car…but that's the extent of my knowledge."
"Ok. Does anyone else have that feeling someone is watching us?"
He nodded. "Yeah, but I always feel that when I feel like I'm doing something wrong."
"Well, let's just be on the look out," Skylar said and surveyed the area again, she thought she saw a person in the shadows, but decided her mind was playing tricks on her when it wasn't there a second after.
Teresa stiffened as she heard them. She realized that she should probably have thought this through more. She spread her wings, enlarging them, and flew silently to the balcony of a nearby house. She stood there, watching them, and then, not realizing that she had landed on a bad place, she sat down. The wood broke with a crash, and Teresa fell onto the street… in full view of the other three.
Luca jumped at the sudden crash behind him. "What the-?" In front of him was a girl except…she had wings. Honestly, he wasn't surprised.
Teresa swore under her breath. "You got me." She growled. The boy was looking at her like he wasn't surprised. Startled, yes, but not surprised.
"What's with the wings?" Luca asked, pointing to them. Well I've seen powers but wings…this is new.
"What in the-" Skylar jumped back, startled by the girl crashing behind them, "Are you ok?!" she held out a hand to help her up, not even fazed by the girl's wings.
"I'm fine. I've fallen from the top of a skyscraper before. This was nothing. And sorry for listening in. My friend Ashira said we were the only ones." Teresa said.
"Ashira? The wolf girl?" Luca asked, crossing his arms. "You know her?"
"Oh, her? The one that can shape shift into animals?" Skylar asked.
"Yes, her. I'm surprised she let you see her wolf ears. She's very sensitive about them. You see, we've known each other for about…" Teresa stopped. Something told her that it would be a bad idea to reveal so much about herself in the first meeting. After all, the meeting HAD been accidental. "Where were you guys going just now? It's late. And did I hear someone say powers? You all have powers, don't you?" She folded her wings, and they shrank into her sweatshirt.
"Whoops. Yeah, that was me." Luca admitted, creating a small ball of water in his hands. "I should probably be more quiet."
Skylar rolled her eyes, "No duh. But, yeah, we all have powers," Skylar opened her palm and a flame ignited in it.
