(I might have been planning it, but I didn’t say for sure…
Let’s say… A month later?)
(I might have been planning it, but I didn’t say for sure…
Let’s say… A month later?)
(Month sounds good.
Also we planned it together.)
(Yeah, but we never planned when…)
“Cam… I don’t feel good,” Lilah groaned, curling up in their bed and squeezing her eyes shut tight.
(Lmao. Also, would she be feeling baby sickness at one month?)
(She would, I believe. I think it starts around one or two months.
Would you like me to double check?)
(Please do.)
(Five or six weeks, so it makes sense.)
(Ah. Okay, hmmm how to respond…)
Cameron unhooked Lily and Lilac from their leashes. He just came back from a walk to find her curled up in pain. He trotted into the room and sat down slowly.
“Are you okay?” He grabbed her hand.
Lilah shook her head a bit and looked up at him. “Oh, gosh,” she groaned again, moving to stand. “I think I’m going to be sick…”
Cameron grabbed her shoulders gently and laid her down. “I’ll get you a trash can.”
“M’kay…” Lilah moaned, pulling her legs to her chest and burying her face in them.
Cameron stood up carefully as to not rock the bed and walked across the room, forking trash out of a trash can and putting in a new bag. He walked back over and set it down on the edge of the bed, then sat.
Lilah groaned softly and reached out for Cameron without moving her head from her knees. She wanted him close; he was always her comfort.
Cameron laid down slowly and hugged her close, carefully pulling her on his chest and curled up their legs.
“I was sick yesterday morning, too,” Lilah whispered. “I’ve been feeling sick for a while…”
(Low-key made it about a month and a half…)
(Oof)
Cameron rubbed her back, feeling concerned. “Are you sure you don’t want to get it checked out?” He had been suggesting it non stop.
(Sorry… I felt like this was really intense sickness for early on… And I have fun writing sick characters…
I’m mean to my characters…)
“I don’t like the doctor… Can’t we just look it up or something? I’m sure we could find something online,” Lilah muttered.
(Nah I don’t mind. I’m kinda tough on them too)
Cameron sighed. “I don’t think looking it up is fair to you, babe.”
“Going to the doctor isn’t fair to me either,” Lilah grumbled, burying her face in his neck.
Cameron rubbed the back of her head. “What if it’s something serious? Like a tumor?”
“I’m not dying. I’m just a little sick,” Lilah declared for the umpteenth time.
Cameron frowned. “What if you’re wrong?” He didn’t like to think about her death.
“Then…” Lilah sighed opening her eyes to look at him again. “I guess I’ll go…”
Cameron looked down at her, gently grabbing her hands. “Are you sure?”
“I should… You’re worried about me, so I should go so you don’t have to be anymore…” Lilah said, nodding slowly.
Or… You could just tell him what you suspect it is…
But I don’t want to get his hopes up. What if I’m wrong?
Cameron sat up with her, his droopy eyes tinged with worry. “May we go now?”
Lilah sighed and sat up slowly. The queasiness has passed, but that didn’t mean it couldn’t come back.
“I suppose… Just let me get ready, okay?” she asked softly.
Just tell him.
Cameron nodded and squeezed her hands. He kissed her gently, nuzzling her head.
“I love you.”
“I love you, too,” Lilah whispered, wrapping her arms around him before he could leave. “Um… I also might know why I’m sick…”
Cameron wrapped his arms around her waist, pressing his nose into her cheek. He pulled away from her to look at her.
“What do you think?”
