(Mmmmmm sure)
(Mmmmmm sure)
(Lol. So Nysaxiope is just going to deal with this group using caffeine?)
Aaron huffed with a cross expression. A part of him wanted to be defiant towards the siren, but he hadn't eaten in a while. By that meaning a day or so… Still he decided to see how long he had to wait for Nysaxiope to get annoyed. Meanwhile he looked to Eberaus as Nykidia stumbled over to him, silently watching the group as he waited to see if the siren reacted.
(So is Aaron just not eating his food?)
(He's seeing how annoyed Nysaxiope will get if he doesn't eat. Though he is hungry so he'll eat eventually. Told you he likes being difficult when someone puts him in a bad mood. lol)
Nysaxiope sipped her mocha and floated over to the dragon. "Hey, are you alive? That was a pretty rough fight wasn't it? Once you eat we'll be talking all about it." She said, still with annoyance in her voice.
Mylnorr simply shrugged at the girl's apology. Instead, his eyes shifted as that other male from earlier appeared, carrying a tray of food. As it was set before him, he raised his eyebrow.
~I-Isn't that…clam chowder~.
~What's the catch? I don't trust it, probably trying to poison us fishy is~ Kirdairn's voice snarled.
"Not everything is a trap," Mylnorr muttered, "Though it is a bit strange that we would be served this when only Nirvana knows we love this stuff…"
~I will enjoy the chance I get to…~
"Be silent Kirdairn, least let Faraneer and myself enjoy this."
~Not like I have a choice right now~ Kirdairn growled ~I wouldn't touch the stuff~.
Eberaus released a groan. He felt a presence grow closer, as well as the sound of footsteps drawing near. His eyes started to at least focus on the world around him. Though as he suddenly saw the ceiling, natural instincts followed by a wave of panic. The male tried to leap up and make a dash for the nearest exit…to only run right smack into a window. Now, one had to remember, Eberaus had no clue about anything in this world…including windows…
Sure, there were windows in castles and kingdoms in his world, but he didn't know that since he knew little to nothing about humans and their ways. Only thing he knew was that they were dangerous and a threat.
The dragon sat up on the floor where he had fell after running full force into the glass. He rubbed his head, growling softly. The tufts of feathers along his tail were vibrating in a maddened frenzy. The glow seemed to return to his eyes, pupils narrowing into thin slits.
"Ow…goddamn't…first I get literally wiped across the floor, find myself in a human building, and then run into some weird…wall…can't I just go crawl in my cave and sleep…be an improvement compared to this…hell, I'd settle for that little shit Gormag coming to annoy the hell out of me…"
Nykidia jumped back as Eberaus ran himself into a window. She walked over to him. "Hey. You OK, don't worry." She said crouching down next to him. "You need to rest. You got pretty banged up in that fight out there." Nykidia said as she tried to help the dragon up.
"Okay, one, this building isn't a human building, its design is just human-inspired, as most buildings are. It's a Siren building. And that's a window. And you can sleep once you eat-" Nys shoved the plate of salted salmon with a fork and knife in his face, "-and explain fully what happened." she turned, eyes fixed on Aaron. "That goes for everyone. You're being given food from my restaurant for free. Eat it."
(Updated my previous post so Nys could be a little angry at Aaron again)
"It's just a window. Plus I can help, so I'll eat after." Aaron pointed out, sounding somewhat snappish. Shifting Aaron circled the dragon, seeing if there was any more severe injuries. Not seeing anything other than maybe the feathers he nudged the dragon, pushing Eberaus to let Nykidia help him to a seat. He circled again to see if he could do anything else, wondering when the last was he helped this much with his magic. He blinked to pull himself from any memory lane that could have become, cracking his neck before looking at the others. He was starving at this point, and decided to stop being stubborn as shifted back and sat down to eat.
"That's what I thought." Nysaxiope said as Aaron sat down to eat. Instead of normally graceful swishes of her tail as she moved, they were hard and choppy.
He growled, just because Aaron listened didn't mean he had to be nice about it. Though it was still probably an improvement in his attitude as he quieted to take a bite of his burger. It was good, especially being the first thing he'd had recently. I guess it's nice she made what I wanted. He thought, not as annoyed now that he had some food. He looked to Nysaxiope as he ate, listening for anything she or the group had to say. Time to have a siren get angry at all of them over the fight.
(LOUD GASP It's my time to shine. In a minute because I'm working on a social studies project)
"Okay is everybody listening?" She looked around the room, using a curious voice. Her voice then hardened to strong anger immediately. "Good. Because I'm going to give it to you straight, no matter how queer I am. (ooc: I had to c'mon) I am a person who moved here to start her business, and get away from her old life. I struggled, with the meager things I had, compared to the budget I needed. I eventually found this place, which took a meerde ton of time, considering what I was looking for. I wanted it to be unique. To not be the same as everyone else, because where I came from in Mertis, it was hard to show that I truly was different than everybody. After weeks of prep, I finally had the restaurant complete and a few employees to work here." She swung her hand to gesture at the help wanted sign on the window. "I'm still underemployed! And I feel terrible at how little my employees are paid, but it's all I can afford. And despite this being a popular street, people still have their doubts about a brand new restaurant. I'm lucky if I get ten customers a day. And to see Lovino coming everyday is pretty much what keeps me moving, knowing someone still appreciates my existence, because I'm sure not to get appreciated by my parents, or siblings or anyone in all of Mertis!" she shouted. She new she was getting too deep into her past and stopped there on the subject of her family. "And you," she waved her hand in disgust at everyone in the room. "You appear in front of my store front, relatively unprovoked, and start beating each other to death! There is multiple shops on this street, but of course it's in front of mine! Did I mention this is a popular street? At the very least 30 people saw you!" She was full on screaming at them, but still in a voice so they could understand her words. She had slammed her hands on the table with a loud bang. "They're all going to all relate your actions to my establishment, and my customers will be gone before I know it. They'll have all left the shop behind thinking 'oh, what a loser. A silly little fishy tried to start her own business. She should just flop her pretty little face back to the sea.' And they'd be right. I would go broke, and have nothing left to do except-" she choked, "-return to Mertis." her voice quieted as she sat down, head down so they couldn't see the tears starting to form in her eyes, and hugged her tail to her chest. "I can't go back there. I can't go back. I can't go back. I can't go back." She was rocking in her chair, and looked up, eyes empty and broken and filled to the brim with tears that started to stream down her face, like in the place of normally rushing water was an uncomfortable stillness, and her voice was almost a whisper when she said, "What will they do to me?"
Nykidia walked over to Nysaxiope and hugged her. "Shhhh. It's OK. Your OK. I understand." She said holding a rocking Nysaxiope.
Aaron froze. He didn't know what to do as he set his food down, looking to the others for help as he tried to think of something. Shouting. Crying. She was shouting now she's crying. Why is she crying? Though he didn't show it he was panicking a bit. He wasn't good with people, he was never really good with people. First she was angry at them about the fight and some low funds, now she was crying over some town he didn't know. He hesitated as he remembered an old memory, one he had nearly forgotten where he had cheered someone up. It's been forever since I did something like that, but I could try. He was nervous, not knowing if she would react in the same happy manner. Going into his fox form he trotted to Nysaxiope, who was sitting there being hugged, hopping onto the seat space next to her. He nearly stepped back as nerves told him to let the others deal with this. Shaking his fur he only let out an annoyed huffed as it fluffed up, fluffy fur may make others happy in his experience but it was annoying, still he set his head in her lap and laid down. He forced himself to stay, despite everything telling him to back out and leave her alone with Nykidia.
(Don't say anything else until I get a chance to respond give me a minute or two)
Mylnorr was completely silent. He had maybe taken a few bites of the food, then stopped as the siren started her speech. His eyes closed, releasing a quiet sigh.
~Hmph, fishy thinks she's bad off, least she still has a home to go back to if she wanted to~ Kirdairn growled.
~B-but maybe she did something and they won't allow h-her back…~
~Oh, and you would know Faraneer? Shut it runt. Why the hell should we care~.
"Because…you're the one who got us in this mess…"
There was an angry snort ~Once a monster, always a monster. That's what they always said about us, we might as well live up to our title. Oh how I look forward to the day when we can get those bastards~.
Eberaus only gave a grunt. His gaze shifted to the siren, his lips twitching ever so slightly, but his fangs remained hidden. He was helped back to his seat, to only have food shoved in his face. The male looked blankly at the meal, yet despite the gnawing hunger, his eyes shifted back to the siren.
He listened quietly to her words, saying not a word. As she came to a finish, the dragon simply stood up. He gave her a small bow, his mangled tail curling between his legs.
"Perhaps it would be best I take my leave then…it seems enough damage has been done…and I do not need to intrude…I'll just head back to the cave entrance that led me here…"
He truly wasn't great with people, especially when it came to other's emotions. Eberaus solution to it, as he felt the scolding words seemed to be directed towards him, even though the siren had motioned everyone around her, was to get the hell out of sight…maybe he could find that cave again and get back…but in the back of his mind he knew it was doubtful.
What am I doing? Why am I crying in front of all these people? Wasn't I just yelling? I should just disappear from the world after apologizing for causing any trouble to them. They don't care about anything in my past, they all have demons in their minds and places they can never go, I'm not special in the least bit- and then Nykidia was hugging her, saying it was okay and she understood. She felt Aaron's fur in his fox from on the scales of her tail, which was a nice and comforting feeling, having never felt such soft fur, or fur in general. She was confused. Why were they comforting her? She was a good for nothing siren who acted like a spoiled brat. At least she had a place to go home to. What would await her would probably be worse than death, but something seemed better than nothing. Oh, what am I doing with myself? She thought, as more choked and ragged breaths heaved from her chest and tears spilled out of her eyes.
Aaron flicked his ear as a tear hit it, shifting his weight some as he looked up at her. What am I supposed to do when someone keeps crying? He thought maybe he was messing up somehow, that maybe he just didn't know how to cheer others up. What confused him most was why she was so shaken up about this, though it crossed his mind that he was more closed off about things. He couldn't really believe he was even comforting someone, even less as he considered what he was about to do. He froze for a moment before moving so her hand was on his head, resisting shaking as he left her with the opportunity to pet him. He hated it but from what he remembered it made others happy when they were allowed to pet animals. I can't believe I'm doing this. Why am I doing this? I'm bad with people, so why do I attempt to help?
Nysaxiope wiped her tears on her shoulder as she felt a nudge at her hand. Aaron's letting me pet him, she realized after a second. Judging from the way he acted earlier and his tense body, this wasn't a thing he did normally. For an awkward few seconds she had a fight with herself on whether she should accept. She eventually did, deciding that it would be more awkward if she didn't. She ran her hand down the fur on the back of Aaron's head, appreciating the comfort it gave her. It brought a smile to her face. "Thanks," she said. "Sorry about that." She announced to everyone. Uggggh so awkward why do you do this to yourself you piece of meerde. Nys thought to herself. "I'm just gonna…" she whipped her tail behind her as she quickly floated away and opened up the door leading to her apartment, accessible only by her because there was no other way to reach it, unless you could jump really high from a floating table. She slammed the door behind her and took a deep breath.
Lovino walks to the door and knocks “hay Nysaxiope you ok?” He asks not being there for the past hour or so he did not know what was going on “want anything from the shop?” He asks standing there.
Guess who is alive and wants to die meeee!)
Aaron officially didn't understand people. At least he understood them less than he did before, flinching as she slammed her door. Nysaxiope seemed like she was happy, only to leave the others in the table area as she went to her room. He went and sat by Lovino as he looked to the door, silently wondering if he could use his strings in some way to access it. Looking back he gave the others a silent look of question. I don't know how to help her. Am I supposed to help her? Maybe this was when you just leave others alone. If they couldn't do anything he definitely didn't have a clue.
Lovino knocks again “Nysaxiope please…” his voice trails off.
Nykidia walked over to beside Lovino and knocked. "What ever happened to what happened with the fight?" Nykidia asked in a gentle voice. "It's OK to cry. I've done my fair share."
Lovino sighs and puts his hand on the door “there are many things a god can do but comfort people I’m pretty bad at that.” He says holding the hot coco in his other hand “is it ok I I go goats and come in?” He asks.
(Dudes the ceiling is 20 feet up they can't reach it)
What ceiling his hand is on the door Nykidia is next to him and Aaron is on the floor….)
(That's why I wasn't typing any reply. I was confused about that…. It was said the door is out of reach but than my mind sorta went blank reading the posts about them knocking. XD)
(The door is a hatch in the ceiling I believe. Sorta like how you'd get up to an attic, right?)
Oh shit I did not see that’s my bad but he still has coco if she wants it he’s just yelling every thing)
