“Your first words were ‘So are you a princess too?’ it was honestly pretty flattering.” Chelsea shrugged. Hey, don’t judge. You didn’t have to hide in a dizzy dimension for years because your mom got eaten.

Cade narrowed his eyes at her as he continued walking. "… Alright. You're welcome I guess."

Chelsea’s grin grew wider, “Ah, don’t step on that, it’s a 11 minute fall and leads to countless tunnels.”

Cade nearly jumped in the air as he stopped in his tracks, looking around for whatever Chelsea had pointed out. "What? Where?"

“Just take at least 4 steps to the left and continue walking. We should hurry, it’s almost fairy o’ clock.”

"I don't even know what you're saying anymore." Cade grumbled, rolling his eyes once more.

Chelsea rolled her eyes. She flickered next to Cade, dragging him a little to the left. Then gave him a little push forward. “Let’s go before you get hexed.”

Cade didn't even question it anymore. He continued walking in the direction Chelsea pushed him, his face obviously annoyed.

“You and your frown.” Chelsea said disapprovingly. She disappeared for a second and reappeared with a cup of hot chocolate a few feet ahead of Cade.

She took a sip of her hot chocolate, “You know, Cade, you remind me of someone I met years ago.”

"Cool." Cade replied, obviously not interested. He gestured to the hot chocolate. "Can you get me some?"

“Tell me a story about you and I will.” Chelsea grinned.

"A story? Like a…once upon a time story or what?" Cade asked, really wanting that hot chocolate. He hadn't had food or drinks in a while.

“A story about something personal about you-“ Chelsea took a sip of her hot chocolate, “-like maybe the happiest day of your life or something.”

"Okay, the happiest day of my life…" Cade smirked. "Once upon a time, Chelsea stopped bugging me and she gave me her hot chocolate. The end."

“D-did you just. Wow. Wow. Wowww. That’s mean, Cadey.” Chelsea huffed, “You’re such a meanie.. a meanie-you’re a mean polka dot!”

A…polka dot? I don't even know… Cade thought, sighing. "So, I told you a story. So, about that hot chocolate?"

She huffed and disappeared for a good 5 seconds, probably just to scare Cade for 5 seconds. She reappeared next to him with another cup of hot chocolate and offered it to him. “You mean polka dot.”

Cade blinked a few times after she returned, still not completely on board with this whole 'disappearing and reappearing' thing. He smiled at Chelsea, reaching to take the hot chocolate from her.

“Thank you for smiling.” Chelsea nodded, taking a sip of her hot chocolate.

(Ahhh sorry I went to my neighbor's house but I'm back now)
Cade took a sip of the hot chocolate before responding. "No problem." He didn't think that wandering through the forest drinking cocoa with a stranger would be comforting, but it was. It felt surprisingly homey.

“Good news, Cadey, we’re nearly there.” Chelsea smiled, “Oh my Alice, if you’re being shady I can call you Shadey! You have an excellent name.”

We're almost there. Thank goodness. "Thanks." Cade replied simply.

“So, how’d you get tied up in this mess?”

"I…don't even remember." Cade admitted, thinking back to what had happened the day before. "It probably started with me getting lost in the forest."

“Why were you in the forest? Searching for some tea leaves?” Chelsea joked.

"I was heading back home after work." Cade corrected, not sensing that Chelsea was joking.
