Rosa made a faint noise in her throat when he hugged her. She’d never been hugged before, other than the other hugs her father gave. This stranger’s hugs—or Master Atlas’s— were very warm. She leaned slowly into the hug.
Rosa made a faint noise in her throat when he hugged her. She’d never been hugged before, other than the other hugs her father gave. This stranger’s hugs—or Master Atlas’s— were very warm. She leaned slowly into the hug.
Atlas felt her lean in with her warmth. 'This is nice….' he thought as he rested his head on top of hers, careful not to squish her ears. "Why are you so frightened of me? Am I really that scary?" He sounded sad.
The little maid shook her head. “N-no. I’m just not used to nice strangers. Or…” She trailed off with a tiny shrug.
Atlas held on a little longer before finally letting her go. "I'm sorry. Is there something I can do to make you any more comfortable around me?"
Rosa shook her head. “I’m just not well around strangers. I’ll-I’ll get used to it.” At least, Father will make me…
Atlas went and sat on his stool. "If you ever think of anything I can do, just tell me. I want to help out any way I can." Suddenly a tall, muscular male neko stepped into the kitchen "Rosa who are you- Oh!" He quickly spotted Atlas and bowed. "Hello. I'm sorry. I did not see you there." When he straightened and got a good look at Atlas' face, he quickly bowed again. "Master Atlas! I did not realize you were coming today!" Atlas waved his hand at him. "Please, don't bow. And just call me Atlas. I had sent some letters but I never got a reply. I thought it would be best if I came up here." The male neko straightened. "We received the letters and I had sent a reply, but our mail service is faulty up here. I apologize Master Atlas. My name is Cosmo. I am at your service." Cosmo turned to Rosa. "I hope you took good care of our new master?" Atlas shifted uncomfortably at the word "master".
Rosa stayed silent through the entire spreel her father offered, looking down at her feet with her ears tucked back into their circle shape. She looked up when she was spoken to.
“Y-yes Father, I have taken good care of him.”
Atlas quickly spoke up. "She took very good care of me. She was very nice to me." Cosmo looked at him when he spoke. "That's good Master Atlas. Is there anything you require from me at the moment?" Atlas shook his head. "No. I'm fine. Thank you." Cosmo turned to Rosa. "Rosa, you are free from the rest of your chores today. I'll take care of them. Show Atlas around the mansion." He turned back to Atlas and bowed. "Excuse me master. I shall see you at dinner tonight." And Cosmo left in a swish of long tail.
Rosa waved good-bye to her father when he walked off and scooted forward.
“Master Atlas, I will show you to your room, then I’ll walk you around.” She bowed slightly.
Atlas nodded and looked out the window. The rain had stopped, but the sky was still gray. "I'd like to grab my luggage before we head up to my room though. That way I can start unpacking."
Rosa bowed a bit. “Let me recieve and help you unpack your luggage. I will show you to your restroom and you can freshen up.”
Atlas nodded but said, "Seriously, did my grandfather make you bow to him or is this something you chose to do?"
(Is the Private RP dead or..?)
(i have no idea how to responddddd)
“It is a sign of customary respect, sir.” She looked up at him and regained her poise.
Atlas chuckled as he started walking back to the front entrance. "Not in the 21st century."
Rosa hurried after him and in front of him, sticking her arms out. “No, sir! You cannot leave!”
Atlas stopped suddenly. "I'm not going anywhere. I just want to grab my luggage. Why can't I leave though?"
“Allow me to get your luggage, sir! Allow me!” She hastily pulled him into another room. “You just sit and relax.”
Atlas was rather startled. 'Why am I not allowed to leave? I wasn't concerned about it before, because I had no intention of leaving, but now…' He let himself be pulled, still confused, to another room. "It's all kinda heavy. Are you sure you'll be alright?" He asked with concern.
Rosa sat him down, her tail still fluffed out with agitation. “Uhuh. I can handle it, sir. Please just relax and let Father and I handle it.”
Atlas let himself be sit down like a child, and crossed his legs, watching Rosa's tail as it fluffed and swished with agitation. "Rosa…" He said softly.
Rosa hurried off, not allowing herself to get soothed. The master of the house must always be happy and comfortable. That is what Master Lordson had told her.
Atlas grew kinda sad. He had known the girl for only about an hour, and already he just wanted to make sure she was was always happy and content. She was really so sweet. If he had ears like her, they'd be drooping.
Rosa tucked herself away in a coat and walked out the door, looking this way and that wearily. She hurried to the car, popped the trunk and pulled out Atlas’ things, then brought them inside.
Atlas was staring out a window, lost in his thoughts. He wondered what he could have done to make Rosa so upset. Would she tell him if he asked?
Rosa set the bags down in the foyer, shut the door and took off her coat. She shook herself out and picked up the luggage, hauling it upstairs.
Atlas heard Rosa thumping up the stairs and stood up, hurrying to go help her. He sprinted up the stairs to where she was and took a suitcase from her.
Rosa’s tail flicked angrily. She was already halfway up the steps.
“Master Atlas, please go sit.” She took the case from him.
Atlas finally had had enough. He took the luggage back. "No." He really didn't want to play this card, but she wouldn't listen to him any other way. "As your new M-M- [he couldn't do it.] employer, I order you to let me help you. I refuse to let you work yourself to the bone because of me. I'm sure you have enough chores already." He said the last sentence kindly.
Rosa’s tail swished over the step and took back the luggage firmly. “As my new Master, I am dedicated to serving you. Father has left me with the duty to take care of you instead of doing my chores.”
Atlas just rolled his eyes, and small smile tugging at his lips. He took her face in his hands and put his forehead against hers. "You're as stubborn as a mule." He laughed softly. He released her and looked at her, head tilted. "Please, it would make me happy if you let me carry at least something. I don't like having empty hands."
