Sky shifted as Ellis bent down. she closed her eyes, hoping he would go away.

He burst into giggles, "Found you,"

Sky laughed, fake sighing. "Darn. I thought I hid pretty well. You're a pretty good seeker!" She said, crawling out from under and stretching. "have you found Peter yet?"

Dani nodded silently. "I'll try not to push myself."

"Thank you." Zander said, almost solemnly.

Dani nodded as they approached the flat. She opened the door for everyone to enter, contemplating finding Carla.

Zander followed her through, looking around the room for anybody.

"Naw yet," he answered cordially, bouncing on his toes.

Sabine sat down on the couch silently. "Dani–"
"No. Don't even say it. Don't even THINK it. It's not your fault."
"But–"
"Just because you were there doesn't make it your fault."
"You should listen to your own advice. Hey, do you know where Will is? He was supposed to debrief me."
"Don't know, don't care." Dani said as she got a glass of water in the kitchen.

Zander was surprised at Dani, but he said nothing. He checked behind the couch, but didn't see anything. Where is Kata? She usually pops up by now.

"Well we should probably find him." she stated.

Dani sat down on a chair at the table, glass of water beside her. She slid down texts on her phone silently, planning on getting Carla to come over. Mackenzie was asleep in her room, so Dani didn't have to worry about her. Then her mind wandered back to the Toronto Incident. it had been Will's fault. It was his idea. And yet she was the one who took the guilt.
Dani: Carla, Sabine wants to talk to Will.
Carla: He out.
Dani: Doing what?
Carla: What do you think? The same as usual, acting like he's better than everyone else, just because he's the son of a glorified senator.
Dani stood up and walked back to the living room. "Will's out. Probably at some gala his parents took him to." Sabine frowned. "That kid is an idiot. Why does he work here again?"
"Because he 'believes in the good guys'." Dani said sarcastically, drawing air quotes.

Macha looked over. “What do you guys need him for then?”

"I've been asking myself the same question for years." Dani answered.

"DANIELLE VERONICA TAUREN WHAT. WERE. YOU. THINKING?!?!?!?!!??!?!?!?" Daniel said as he stormed into the flat. Dani flinched. I'm in a lot of trouble now. She thought. Sabine stood up, grabbing Macha and pulling her back. Daniel took a deep breath. "Danielle I'm just worried about you. Can you please, please, PLEASE stop getting yourself into situations where you could get hurt or worse?"
"Daniel, it's my job. I know that your big brother side wants to keep me safe, and I respect that. But I have to do this, no matter how dangerous a mission is."
Daniel sighed. After a few minutes of the two arguing in Russian, Daniel put his hands up in surrender. "Okay okay. Fine. But let your friends take care of you. And let your body heal. I have to go talk to Axyl." He said grudgingly, leaving. Sabine snickered. "Busted."
"Shut up Sabine."

“Wait, who was that?”

"Let's go!" Ellis giggled.

Skylar ran out, following Ellis. "Where do you think he could be?" She asked.
