Time skip to maybe when Halo talks to Alex?

Alto blinked awake and looked around for a second, not entirely sure where they were. Then he remembered and got up quietly as not to wake up Halo.

Halo's phone was vibrating loudly on the table.

Alto rubbed his eyes and went over, picking it up and squinting at the screen.

Alex was calling and by the look of it, he had been calling for a while.

Alto picked up the phone. "Hello? Alex?"

"Finally! Halo, where are you? You nor Alto are at home, I've been waiting for hours!"

"Halo's asleep. I can get him for you if you like." Alto said sleepily.

"Alto? You sound exactly like your twin. Is he okay? I haven't heard from him since the end of school."

"He's…well..let me call you back in a minute." Alto hung up and walked back over to Halo, nudging him a little. "Halooo..wake up, your boyfriend is worrieeeedd.."

Halo slowly opens his eyes, "Mmm…" He looks up at Alto.

Alto ruffled his hair gently. “It’s Alex. He’s worried.”

Halo takes the phone. "Hello?" His ear was greeted with loud yelling as Alex yells his concern.

Alto smiled a little and sat down at the edge of the bed, picking up his own phone.

Halo talks with him before the conversation stopped on the otherside. Halo waited for a second, before saying softly, "Alex?" There was a small noise in the background before Alex answered. "I'll be there shortly."

"You hungry?" Alto asked, looking at his brother.

Halo shakes his head and watches his phone turn off. He sighs tiredly. A nurse enters the room. She replaces his IV, charts a few things before leaving.

"You sure you aren't hungry? You haven't eaten since yesterday.."

Halo nods and sighs softly, shifting a little bit to be more comfortable.

Alto nodded reluctantly and sat down next to him, laying hand on his shoulder. "How are you feeling?"

"Not good…" He mumbles, resting his head on Altos shoulder.

"Understandable..do you need anything?" Alto asked.

"Not really… just have you stay here with me." He mumbles softly.

"Of course.." Alto murmured back sleepily.

Halo nods and smiles a little, kissing his cheek. Slowly he falls asleep.

Alto listened to the quiet beep and whirs of the hospital room, wishing they weren't here.
