Once in a land far away, a massive structure appeared. The citizens of this world called it, A Dungeon. Many had entered the structure, trying to obtain the massive power at the end of the tower. However, only one person had succeeded they refused to give away the massive power that came from completing it and was now a traitor to the land which they were borne…
This is where Verrian came in. Sure he was now a traitor, in the eyes of his kingdom at least, but he needed to help this world. Now how he was going to do it was beyond him. I suppose I need to find comrades… How do I help this world with the Djinn of Darkness in my weapon? He thought to himself as he walked down an almost empty road with very few people on it, occasionally taking swigs from his water flask.
Rio gazed off into the distance as he traveled along the dusty road, he had recently heard of the strange structures called dungeons while out at sea. Being an adventurer, he had set out to investigate. "I wonder what this trip will bring…" he thought to himself as he focused on the road ahead.
Verrian walked for a while. Lost in his own thoughts till he ran into someone, stumbling to the ground. "I am so, so, so sorry. I didn't see you there!" He apologized, standing up and brushing the dust off of his cloak and pants.
Rio stopped in surprise as he ran into some one, looking down at the stranger who was quickly apologizing he to apologized "No its my fault, I wasn't watching where I was going," he said quickly He looked the stranger over, "Hey where are you headed anyway?" he asked.
"Not sure, I heard there was a strang structure in Contra so… There I suppose." He said shrugging and picking up his bag which had fallen when he did. "I'm Verrian, You can call me Ver though." He introduced himself, he thought it was only right. He had bumped into him after all.
"I'm Rio, So what do you mean by strange structure?" Said Rio responding to Verrian's introduction.
"Hm, oh Dungeons! They seem to be all the rage right now, have you heard of them?" He asked, opening his bag and pulling out a map.
"Yeah I have!" said Rio excitedly, "I have actually been looking around to see what these things are, they say anyone who makes it to the end gains great power."
"Yup!" Verrian said, displaying the map. The map had a spot crossed out of it. "That's the first dungeon! That capturer gained the Djinn of Darkness."
"Wow, I wonder who did that… Hey just how powerful do you think these Djins are anyway?" asked Rio.
(bring in a traveler on the road??)
Adagio walks, staff in hand. Clef trots by his side as his tongue lolled out. He was searching got the dungeon as well. He hums softly, a hand resting on Clef's fur.
Rio turns as he hears someone coming 'round a bend in the road, "I think someone's headed our way Verrian…"
Adagio glances around before halting. He smiles faintly as he looks at Clef. Cleg had frozen though, growling softly.
I'm sorry… I gotta drop this Lex… Too many people to help…
Verrian looked down at the map. "I just realized something… I'm lost. I'm going to go ask that guy over there for directions!" He said, walking over to the man with a staff and a dog. "Hello, do you know where the Dungeon is?"
Rio Watches as Verrian askes the stranger where Contra was… "Huh and i thought this guy had it all together…" he thought, as he followed him.
Adagio looks up and smiles. Clef seems to ease, but stayed wary. "Yes. Actually, I was heading there myself." He chuckles, patting Clef's head. "My name is Adagio. This is my companion, Clef." He says happily.
"What a coincidence, My names Verrian." He says, screaming at himself on the inside for using his real name. Again. He was stopped from his internal torture by his white snake popping out of his bag, hissing in the sunlight. "And this is Twinkie."
"so this guy knows where a dungeon is.." thought Rio, "whelp, more the merrier I guess..*" "Hey stranger are you looking for partners to take on a dungeon too?" Asked Rio.
He smiles and chuckles. "It's a pleasure to meet you both. Ah, hello." He smiles slightly. "I can take you both." He pats Clefs head.
"Thanks!" Verrian says, stroking Twinkie's head happily. "So, why are you heading to the dungeon?" He asks, smiling though he is still screaming at himself. You fucked up.
"Cool" says Rio, "That was exactly what I was hoping for! By the way my name is Rio, And.. Hey Verrian did you know that there is a snake in your bag?"
